Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Saiyan Naturally Suited for Training Ultra Instinct

Rez turned his head and looked at Linoshi.

She was standing right beside him, in the same spot and the same posture, as if she hadn't moved once during those seven days and nights.

"And you? Have you been by my side this whole time?" Rez asked softly, a wave of warmth in his heart.

"Hehe, I was watching you train." Linoshi actually giggled, her blue eyes curving into crescents, a hint of pride on her face.

"Is that so?" Rez was moved.

A warm current surged from the depths of his heart, flowing through his limbs and making his eyes sting slightly.

In his previous life, Rez had pursued the School Beauty.

He brought her breakfast every day, waited downstairs at the dormitory regardless of the weather, and fulfilled almost any request she had.

He thought his sincerity would be reciprocated, believing that as long as he worked hard enough, he could touch her heart.

However, the School Beauty ultimately rejected him tactfully, using her studies as an excuse.

The sunlight was brilliant that day too, but his heart was as cold as if it had fallen into an ice cellar.

Having been reborn into the dragon ball world, Rez had long ago decided not to pursue romance again.

After all, the dragon ball world had many beautiful women with distinct personalities.

For instance, Bulma, Android 18, Videl...

Any one of them was more beautiful than the School Beauty from his previous life.

He thought he could remain indifferent, focus on his training, and carve out a place for himself in this world.

Now, however, Rez was moved by the Trainee Female Angel before him.

She had accompanied him for seven days and nights without a single word of complaint.

Not just being nearby, but truly watching over him and guarding him, never leaving for a single step.

If I can properly protect this girl in this life...

The problem is, she's an angel!

Does she even need my protection?

Rez sighed with emotion and simply decided not to think about such complicated matters.

If he wanted to protect her, he would have to become even stronger than she was!

"Are you hungry?" Linoshi smiled sweetly and suddenly pointed to a spot on the left. "I learned your way and made a roasted whole lamb. It's still hot, just right for eating."

Rez turned his head and saw that there was indeed a roasted whole lamb there.

The lamb was mounted on a simple roasting rack, its golden skin slightly glistening with oil.

Moreover, Linoshi had thoughtfully placed charcoal under the roasted lamb to maintain its heat and temperature.

Rez was indeed hungry.

After all, Rez hadn't eaten anything for seven days and nights.

He hadn't felt it while training, but now that he saw food, hunger rushed in like a tide, and his stomach cramped with emptiness.

"Thank you," Rez quickly thanked her, feeling even more moved.

"If only this girl were my girlfriend."

Such a cute, kind, and beautiful angel.

He looked at Linoshi's clear, beautiful face, the light shimmering in her blue eyes, and the gentle smile on her lips; his heart skipped a beat.

"But it might not taste that good." Linoshi lowered her head sheepishly, rubbing her battle suit with her fingers, her voice tinged with anxiety.

"It's fine," Rez smiled and strode toward the roasted lamb.

The two of them walked over to where the roasted lamb was.

Rez reached out and grabbed a leg of lamb, tearing it off with force.

The leg of lamb was roasted golden and crispy, still steaming hot.

He turned and handed the leg of lamb to Linoshi.

"You eat, I'm not hungry," Linoshi waved her hand gently and took a small step back.

"Alright," Rez nodded, not being overly polite.

Indeed, angels don't feel hunger; they only eat to enjoy delicious food.

Rez picked up the roasted leg of lamb and brought it to his nose to sniff.

It smelled quite fragrant, similar to when he roasted it himself before.

Feeling relieved, he opened his mouth and took a big, hearty bite.

However, with that one big bite, Rez choked, nearly spitting the meat out.

That flavor exploded in his mouth, assaulting his taste buds.

You said it might not taste good... were you serious?

This isn't just "not good," it's absolutely terrible!

Rez almost cried.

One could say this was the most disgusting roasted meat Rez had eaten since his transmigration.

The skin looked golden and crispy, but biting into it was like chewing wax, completely lacking the freshness lamb should have.

There was too much seasoning, making it bitter from the saltiness, and there was a strange astringency, as if it were both undercooked and overcooked.

"Is it not good?" Seeing Rez's expression, Linoshi was slightly taken aback and quickly asked.

Her brow furrowed slightly, her blue eyes full of concern and a hint of tension.

"It's... it's okay," Rez's mouth twitched slightly as he replied, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

As for the lamb in his mouth, he ultimately did not spit it out.

Linoshi had put so much effort into making this roasted whole lamb; if he didn't eat some to show appreciation, he would truly be letting down her companionship over these seven days and nights.

He forced himself to chew and swallowed it with difficulty.

"Is it okay? Did I capture even thirty percent of your essence?" Linoshi asked with some excitement, her blue eyes sparkling as she looked at him expectantly.

"Almost..." Rez didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Then, Rez took a few more bites of the roasted leg of lamb.

He tried his best not to taste it, swallowing it whole.

As he ate, Rez felt as if there was a lot of ash-like material in his mouth.

Licking it with his tongue, Rez almost broke down in tears.

It was burnt on the inside!

It had already turned to ash!

Black charcoal was mixed into the meat; it crumbled into powder as soon as he chewed, filling his mouth with that bitter, burnt taste.

This was truly speechless!

Did Linoshi use Angel Power to roast this whole lamb?

Whatever!

Fill the stomach first!

Rez forced himself to swallow the meat mixed with ash.

This damn thing...

It's a bit scratchy on the throat!

That coarse charcoal scraped across his throat, bringing an itchy sensation as if he had swallowed a handful of sand.

Good thing I was reborn as a Saiyan!

If this were an ordinary Earthling, they might get seriously ill after eating this, right?

"By the way, regarding my training this time, how long do you think it will be before I reach the entry level of Ultra Instinct?" Rez asked with a serious expression, trying to divert his attention and stop thinking about the strange taste in his mouth.

"Just a little bit more! You'll be at the entry level!" Linoshi was also genuinely happy for Rez, a brilliant smile blooming on her face.

"That fast?" Rez was immediately excited, his eyes shining.

"Yes, yes... I didn't expect you to be naturally suited for training Ultra Instinct!" Linoshi said happily, hopping slightly in place with excitement. "No one besides our family has ever been able to train in this skill! If my father knew, he would definitely be very happy!"

"Eh? Your father... didn't you say your father died in battle?" Rez tried hard not to laugh, but he almost couldn't help himself.

Holding back his laughter, he looked at Linoshi, wanting to see how she would cover up this lie.
