Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Seven Days of Protection! She Accompanies My Cultivation!

"I'm not tired, I'll watch you cultivate here." Linoshi smiled tenderly and shook her head gently.

"Okay." Rez nodded, no longer being formal.

He found another flat rock, sat down cross-legged, and slowly closed his eyes.

Soon, Rez entered the Mushin state once again, merging his body into nature.

This feeling was simply addictive to Rez.

The sound of the wind, the chirping of insects, the gurgling of a distant stream, and even the activities of tiny organisms in the soil under the rocks—everything was reflected so clearly in his perception.

He wasn't listening with his ears, but feeling with his body, as if his skin had turned into countless tiny tentacles extending in all directions.

Moreover, this method of cultivation was much more comfortable than cultivating energy.

Cultivating energy required a massive amount of physical stamina; every punch had to be thrown with full effort, and every burst had to drain every last bit of breath from the body.

While that kind of training yielded significant results, it also placed an enormous burden on the body, often leaving him exhausted afterward.

But this state of merging with nature didn't consume stamina; instead, it actually increased it.

No, it shouldn't be called stamina.

It was a very mysterious, special energy.

This special energy was entering his body and replacing the original energy.

The feeling was subtle, like dry land welcoming sweet rain, or like a dormant seed beginning to sprout.

A warm and gentle power surged from all directions, seeping slowly through every pore of his skin into his body, intertwining and merging with his original Saiyan energy.

If Rez's guess was correct, this energy was very likely Divine Power.

I've only spent a few hours, and I've already cultivated Divine Power?

No wonder I was judged to be a Super Genius Warrior.

It turns out what I'm truly suited for cultivating is Divine Power!

No wonder after all these years, my power level has only reached 2 million.

Normally, with my talent and knowledge, it should be considered normal for me to have raised my power level to at least 20 million by the age of 16.

It was natural for Rez to think this way.

After all, Rez had been training for nine years since the age of three.

Over those nine years, Rez had Gravity Assistance and plenty of cultivation resources.

Although he needed to be wary of King Vegeta and Frieza, once he learned how to hide his ki, it wasn't a problem.

Yet, it still took nine years to raise his power level to 2 million.

To be honest, Rez felt it was far from enough.

The cultivation speed was too slow!

He never expected that now, while cultivating Divine Power, he could comprehend it so quickly.

At this, Rez's heart was filled with mixed emotions.

He stopped overthinking and focused on immersing himself in that profound state, allowing that magical power to cleanse his body.

Time passed quietly.

At this moment, Rez felt as if he had completely merged into one with nature.

In a daze, he seemed to have a dream.

A very long dream.

In the dream, it was still these wild mountains and forests, still the Star-Shattering Cliff.

The jagged rocks, the whistling winds, the distant horizon—everything was so familiar.

The girl named Linoshi was standing there quietly.

She was wearing her SaiyanBattle Suit, her long black hair fluttering gently in the wind, and her blue eyes looking toward him, her gaze as gentle as spring water.

From night to day.

And from day back to night.

Black and white shifted constantly, as if someone had pressed a fast-forward button; suns rose and moons set, light and shadow flowing.

At some point, a drizzling rain began to fall from the sky.

The raindrops were fine and dense, making a soft rustling sound as they hit the rocks, weaving a hazy curtain of rain in the air.

The rain grew heavier.

Raindrops as large as beans crashed down, splashing into blossoms of water on the ground.

Linoshi lightly raised her hand, and an umbrella appeared in it.

It was a pure white umbrella with a faint halo flowing over its surface; rain slid off it immediately without leaving a trace.

Like a fairy, she stepped through the rain, her footsteps light on the wet rocks, and walked in front of Rez, holding the umbrella high and tilting it over him.

The rain poured harder and harder.

Rainwater hit Linoshi's shoulders.

However, there seemed to be an invisible Protective Shield on Linoshi's shoulders, instantly blocking the rain.

The raindrops fell to within a centimeter of her shoulder and then automatically slid away, dripping to the ground along that invisible barrier.

She stood there by Rez's side, holding the umbrella, her blue eyes gazing at him without blinking.

The rain finally stopped.

The sun appeared, and golden sunlight spilled down through the clouds.

A beautiful rainbow emerged on the horizon, its seven colors carving a brilliant arc across the blue sky, as beautiful as a scene from a painting.

Linoshi retracted the umbrella, then tilted her head, her face flushing as she gazed at Rez infatuatedly.

Sunlight shone on her fair cheeks, plating them with a warm halo.

Those blue eyes were as clear as two pools of lake water, reflecting his figure within them.

After a moment of silence.

Linoshi lowered her head with a blush, looking shy as her fingers unconsciously began to rub her Battle Suit.

Gradually, the sky turned dark again.

And so it continued...

Suns rose and moons set, clouds gathered and dispersed.

No one knew how much time had passed.

Rez took a deep breath, suddenly snapped back to his senses, and slowly opened his eyes.

The sunlight was a bit piercing; he squinted slightly, only fully opening his eyes after adjusting to the light.

What met his eyes was a clear blue sky, a few white clouds drifting lazily by, and distant birds streaking across the horizon.

"You're awake?" a gentle voice sounded in his ear.

Linoshi tilted her head to look at Rez, her blue eyes full of joy.

A slight smile played on her face, and she looked exceptionally bright in the sunlight.

"How... how long have I been cultivating?" Rez asked, stretching his slightly stiff neck.

"Seven days and seven nights." Linoshi smiled, her tone carrying a hint of pride as if she were happy for him.

"Really? It's already been that long!" Rez marveled, finding it hard to believe.

He felt as if it had only been the span of a blink, not expecting that seven whole days had passed.

Immediately after, Rez looked around and saw the muddy ground and the mountain rocks soaked by rain.

There were traces left by dried-up puddles everywhere on the ground, and some shallow pools still remained in low-lying areas, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds.

The previously dry rocks were covered with water stains, and the moss seemed even greener and fresher than before.

"Drip... drip..."

The mountain stream flowed, its gurgling extremely pleasant to the ear.

It was the rainwater gathering into a flow, pouring down from high places and leaping between rocks with a crisp sound.

The air was filled with the unique fresh scent that follows a rain, mixed with the fragrance of earth and grass, making one feel refreshed and relaxed.

At this moment, Rez's heart stirred.

Could it be that what happened just now wasn't a dream?

But something I saw while cultivating?

Had this beautiful and cute Apprentice Angel never left from start to finish?
