After the talk with the town elder she allowed the three of us to stay in the village inn. Mako took over Priscilla's training and in all honesty she's done more than I ever could. Priscilla now has full control over her half dragon form and can shoot lasers from her mouth. Mako is the same as ever, very quiet but loves to fight and I've gotten used to fighting one armed. Getting up from my desk I made my way outside heading towards the forest where the girls were training. Moving closer I heard them crashing through the forest launching trees into the sky. Side stepping I barely dodged a giant stump landing next to me.
I yelled, "Mako! Priscilla! Stop fighting before you kill someone!".
And they didn't stop. Great, now I have to stop them. Stretching, I ran towards the noise spotting Mako first. Closing in on her I kicked her legs out from under her before changing directions looking for Priscilla who was apparently trying to disintegrate the forest. Tilting her head back facing the sky I stopped between them. Mako fell head first into the ground yelling out in pain. Priscilla roared, shooting a laser that blasted a hole through the clouds. I asked, "Are you guys done fighting?".
Priscilla laughed before rushing towards me, squeezing me in a hug. I grunted, "Priscilla....too tight.".
She started squeezing harder before suddenly letting me go. Hearing a loud slam I quickly turned to see Mako with her fist planted in the ground. She said, "I'm gonna kill you Rokuza.".
Walking over to her I put out my hand to help her up. She started blushing before taking it. I pulled her up and walked back towards the village. The worst part about the training is that Priscilla developed a love for fighting and is highly aggressive towards anyone who threatens Mako and me. A couple months after her training started someone threatened to kill me and Priscilla happened to overhear it. Not too long after a white dragon appeared outside the village and deleted that man from existence.
Entering the inn we were met with a table full of food and most of the village waiting for us. The elder said, "Thank you for protecting the village for the last two years.".
I said, "You're welcome. It's the least we could do for you, allowing us to live here.".
One final party before returning to Foract. Getting behind Mako and Priscilla I pushed them towards the party so they couldn't escape. I slipped upstairs after a few minutes. All I could think about was seeing Mina again. I wonder how beautiful she's gotten or if she forgot about me. She said we would talk about us when I returned. Thinking along those lines Mako and I need to have a talk. The door opened loudly, startling me. Mako said, "We need to talk.".
She shut the door and made her way towards the bed sitting next to me. She stuttered out, "Y.Y..You know I care about you but I'm not stupid I can tell you have another filling your heart.".
I said, "Mako, you're very beautiful and I'm happy you feel that way about me. But my heart belongs to a girl from Foract.".
She said, "I'm still going with you. You gave me a place to belong. My village forced me out because of my ability. I love you and Priscilla and I swear by my name I'll protect you no matter what.".
She quickly left the room. What a way to end the final day in the village. Packing the last of my belongings I went back downstairs. As soon as my foot touched the floor Priscilla grabbed my arm and pulled me to the door before I could say my goodbyes. Mako was outside waiting for us. Her eyes were puffy from crying. I patted her head before saying, "Mako hop on my back.".
Her face was practically glowing before she slowly wrapped her arms around my neck. I picked up Priscilla, balancing her on my arm. I gave a slight warning, "You'll be slightly dizzy when I stop. And maybe sick.".
I didn't wait for a response before running. Taking a slight detour I stopped in Ventess so Mako could puke and rest for a couple minutes. Someone asked, "What made you come back?".
I answered, "Just taking a detour Izett.".
Izett said, "Glad to see you're well. Until next time.".
As friendly as always. I asked, "Are you okay Mako?".
She jumped onto my back without saying a word. Let's get this over with. Going faster than before we got close to the hideout which apparently was now an incredibly popular place. There was a line shooting out the door towards the kingdom walls. I asked Priscilla, "Do you remember how I told you about my old companions and how they looked?".
She answered, "Yes Dad, I do.".
I said, "Good, they will look a little older but I don't think they would have changed much. Go inside and see if one of them is inside and tell them the two years is up.".
Without another word she skipped towards the building. Mako is still sick and puking in a bush. I asked, "Are you gonna be alright?".
She gave a thumbs up before wiping her mouth. She asked, "What's with the building?".
I said, "It's a reward I got from the King after completing a mission. We used it as a base for a little while.".
She asked another question, "Was it this popular before you left?".
I sighed, "I have no idea. It was a store but I didn't really pay attention to it.".
"What do you plan to say to her?", she asked.
I grumbled, "I don't really know. I love her more than anyone else in this world but I feel like I don't deserve to love her.".
Mako said, "I know you'll be fine. You always are.".
