Once Zero Five entered Eir, Sam sat down and patiently waited for the examination process to end. Being the last one to enter meant that the others would have come out before her, creating a bit of a problem. Thankfully, until Sam gave the release command for all three devices, the Valkyries would be stuck inside even if they were to wake up. He planned to edit the data later to make it so nothing appeared out of the ordinary, so this was nothing more than a little precaution, just in case the Valkyries started asking questions.
A few minutes passed, and the examination ended. Stepping out of her container, Zero Three walked to the first room while stretching her limbs. Sam knew it was coming, so he wasn't too surprised when she turned to him with a frown.
"Hey, old man. That took much longer than usual, didn't it?" She said. "Can you not waste my precious time like this?"
"Ah, sorry about that," Sam said, holding a hand to his mouth as he yawned. "I dozed off for a couple of minutes."
"Tsk. This is why humans-"
"Three~"
A calm voice called her name, but that seemed to freeze the young Valkyrie in her place. Nine was looking her way, the smile she wore being the same yet nothing like what Sam was used to.
"I'm sorry, Doctor." Nine spoke, a hint of wryness making it to her bone-chilling smile. "We know you are working hard for our sake. For the sake of your health, please make sure to get proper rest."
"... y-yeah…"
When someone who's usually all smiles and positive energy gets angry, they tend to become truly terrifying. Add to that the fact that she's a super-bot, and the bad feeling she gave off only grows stronger.
'So what Zero Five said about them arguing was true…'
Sam glanced over at the ponytailed Valkyrie. Their eyes met for a moment, but she quickly averted her gaze, cheeks blushing red. Her adorable reaction caused his heart to skip, and for a moment there, his disinterested expression almost changed.
"Alright." He said after clearing his throat. "Nothing out of the usual today. You are free to leave."
"Finally!" As usual, Zero Three was the first to leave. Nine followed after apologizing for the young one's behavior, and Zero Five was the last, although she seemed like she still had something to say.
Finally alone, Sam moved on to writing his daily report. But before that, there was something he needed to take care of first. Something that would surely become a part of his daily routine if he were to succeed.
Entering the command list from the book, he summoned the window with the three secret folders, then went directly to the one named Eir. The last file that had been created belonged to Zero Five. As expected, it contained many more lines compared to files from similar, uneventful days. There were detailed records of every time he had touched the ponytailed Valkyrie. Every time he caressed her shoulders, and every time he squeezed her ass and breasts. One line even mentioned when he ran his fingers through her hair.
Unlike in Zero Three's file from the day before, the spots marked on the silhouette representing Zero Five were colored blue. Apparently, each color represented the amount of damage each part had suffered and the needed repairs they had to undergo.
'Blue must mean safe, huh…' A frown creased Sam's face. 'Even so, it still gets recorded…'
Even places where they didn't make direct contact due to their clothes were recorded. Eir didn't leave out a single detail.
Taking a deep breath, Sam went to the beginning and began deleting the lines that told of what he did to the ponytailed Valkyrie, using a different file as reference. Before long, he only had a few more lines left. Those spoke of a substance Zero Five had swallowed only a few minutes ago. According to Eir, it was composed of 99% water plus some other components like electrolytes, mucus, and human white blood cells, among other things.
Realizing what it was, Sam began to remember the passionate kiss he shared with Zero Five. At that time, he had felt that all the suffering he went through in the past year was worth it. Having enjoyed every last second of it, the thought of getting to do it again filled him with unbridled excitement.
'Still…' Deleting the line that spoke of Zero Five swallowing his saliva, Sam couldn't help but frown. 'That thing sure doesn't know some stuff is better left out...'
Having deleted all the suspicious lines, he went through the file once more just to be safe. With that done, he went and deleted the default version created for his report, then saved a new one.
'Alright… only one thing left…'
Typing his daily report, he attached the encrypted files to it, then proceeded to click send. The uneasiness he felt as the mouse cursor hovered over the send button was to be expected. Still, it wasn't like he could go back even if he wanted to. Sending the email proved to require quite a bit of courage, and once he did, he was forced to experience the uneasiness of not knowing whether his plan would succeed or not.
It might take minutes, or it might be days. All he could do was wait. In the meantime, he was technically free to enjoy the Valkyries to his heart's content.
