It had been a while since she'd seen him up this close. They stood there for a long time just looking at each other, as if taking in how much they had changed. The sea breeze gently blew and tousled their hair.
"Time's passed quite a bit, but not long enough to fade the memories," Jinju said first.
Though she had always coldly pushed him away, today she somehow found herself wanting to talk to him about lots of things, from old stories to recent events.
"I…have a question."
"Ask and tell me anything. It's been so long since we just talked like this, so I'm feeling a bit emotional, but also trying to keep it together..."
"Have you been waiting for me to call?"
"Well, would you believe me if I said I waited so much that my eyes almost fell out?"
"I thought you were going to come by today, though."
"I actually stood in front of Café Jinju this morning and left dozens of times."
"So did you finally decide to give me some space?"
