"Grant S!"
There were more and more splitting dogs. Under their desperate attacks, many of the sand soldiers had been shattered.
However, just as fatal wounds to flesh and blood were not fatal to the splitting dogs, the destruction of the sand soldiers caused no substantial loss to Rasa.
It was only a small amount of chakra.
And the current Rasa held Samehada.
Even if Rasa's compatibility with Samehada was not as high as Kisame Hoshigaki's, under the suppression of overwhelming strength, Samehada was very cooperative with Rasa's orders.
At this moment, Rasa carried two blades.
One was Samehada, strapped across his back.
One was the Thunder Blades, hanging at his waist.
But the Thunder Blades were, in truth, two swords.
Rasa had no intention of using the ninja blades. Instead, he controlled large amounts of gold dust, gathering and swirling above the splitting dogs' heads.
Magnetism could produce electricity.
Rasa had already held similar thoughts before.
Using magnetism to generate electricity could create attacks faster and fiercer than weapons shaped from gold dust.
But this involved the problem of conversion efficiency.
When Rasa had attempted it before, the conversion ratio between chakra expenditure and attack power had not been high enough. Combined with the existence of the Thunder Blades, Rasa had given up on it.
But now that he had obtained the ability to Grant S/N, the situation was different.
By combining Magnet Release with the ability to Grant S/N, Rasa could greatly increase the efficiency of generating electricity through magnetism.
It was equivalent to turning it into a fusion ninjutsu.
Gold dust gathered and spun above the splitting dogs' heads.
"Grant S/N!"
The next moment, a flicker of lightning appeared within the gold dust.
And as the gold dust moved faster and faster, the lightning became increasingly intense.
Crack!
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning as thick as a water barrel struck fiercely down toward the splitting dogs.
It enveloped all of them.
Under the effect of the powerful current, the splitting dogs' bodies fell into a rigid state, twitching involuntarily.
Rasa's eyes lit up.
"Not bad!"
"Based on the input-output ratio between chakra amount and attack power, the Thunder Blades no longer have much value to me. Using gold dust is more convenient and far freer."
The Thunder Blades could only be used while held in his hands.
But gold dust could exist at a distance.
And it could change into all kinds of forms.
After one bolt of lightning disappeared, the splitting dogs flew into a rage and snarled even more ferociously at Rasa.
With a thought, Rasa invested even more chakra.
Immediately, the lightning became even fiercer.
"Lightning Strike, One Hundred Thousand Volts!"
The gold dust swirling above the splitting dogs grew more and more numerous, its volume becoming increasingly vast.
The lightning falling toward the splitting dogs also became more and more frequent.
More and more violent.
It was like rain.
It poured down in torrents.
The entire region was enveloped by lightning. Anyone standing outside could not see clearly what was happening inside.
Rasa nodded in satisfaction.
"This compound ninjutsu is extremely flexible."
"It can be large or small. Near or far. Offensive or defensive…"
"It has greatly improved my attacking ability."
"Born from Magnet Release and Grant S/N, capable of creating high-voltage lightning—let's call it Gold Dust Thundercloud."
Rasa lifted a hand.
The Gold Dust Thundercloud swirling above the splitting dogs vanished.
"They're actually still holding on?"
The state of the splitting dogs surprised Rasa somewhat.
"This vitality truly is tenacious."
The splitting dogs raised their heads and looked at Rasa. There was not the slightest fear in their eyes.
Only hatred.
"Judging by this, even if I use a powerful enough attack to kill you, you still won't submit. Then I'll simply drain your chakra dry. Once your chakra is gone, you should submit."
Rasa looked beneath the splitting dogs.
"Antlion Pit!"
Immediately, the ground beneath the splitting dogs collapsed.
All the surrounding sand turned into quicksand, pulling the splitting dogs down into it. The sand flowed constantly, leaving the splitting dogs with no place to borrow strength from.
Their bodies sank lower and lower.
Down.
Still farther down.
Until their bodies were completely buried, leaving only several dog heads exposed.
Rasa descended.
One hand gripped Samehada's hilt.
But Rasa discovered that Samehada was actually resisting.
A weak thought transmitted over.
—Tastes bad. Stinks too much!
Rasa raised a brow.
Samehada actually disliked the splitting dog's chakra?
However, judging from its appearance, the splitting dog's chakra probably did not taste very good.
"You'll eat it even if it tastes bad. After you finish, I'll let you absorb some Tailed Beast chakra."
Only then did Samehada reluctantly begin absorbing the splitting dog's chakra.
The splitting dogs' bodies were trapped and completely unable to move.
They could only watch helplessly as Samehada drew away their chakra.
Until it was almost drained dry.
Finally, the splitting dog lowered its proud heads.
The Summoning Beast Summon Card in Rasa's hand split into two parts.
One part flew toward the splitting dog.
The other flew toward Rasa.
[Cerberus!]
[Ability—Splitting.]
Rasa waved a hand.
The flowing sand inside the Antlion Pit stopped moving.
Then Samehada returned part of the chakra it had absorbed from the Cerberus back to it.
The splitting dog leapt up and broke free of its restraint.
Afterward, when it looked at Rasa, there was no longer the slightest trace of its previous ferocity. Instead, it revealed an expression almost like a fawning dog.
However, the splitting dog's hatred had not vanished.
It had simply transferred to Samehada.
The splitting dog stared fixedly at Samehada, its gaze extremely unfriendly.
If not for Rasa, it might have already pounced on Samehada by now.
Rasa sized up the splitting dog.
The Yatagarasu could drop explosive eggs from high altitude, its destructive power astonishing.
This splitting dog attacked from the ground and was difficult to kill. One became two, two became three…
If these two summoning beasts joined forces, they could completely rival a small ninja army.
Just as Rasa returned to the Kazekage Building—
"Kazekage-sama."
An ANBU ninja quickly rushed in.
"What is it?"
"An intruder secretly infiltrated the village and contacted Kabuto Yakushi. But Kabuto Yakushi reported him. We have not moved to capture him yet. He is still inside the village."
Rasa's eyes flickered.
"Konoha's people?"
As for Kabuto Yakushi's report, it was something of a pleasant surprise to Rasa.
Even though Rasa had produced evidence of Danzo's "scheme," he had never fully trusted Kabuto Yakushi.
Now, Kabuto Yakushi taking the initiative to report Konoha's ninja still could not prove that Kabuto Yakushi had betrayed Konoha one hundred percent.
But at the very least, it was a good sign.
"Kazekage-sama, how should we handle this?"
Rasa hesitated for a moment.
"I'll personally take a look. Lead the way."
"Yes, Kazekage-sama."
Two figures moved at extremely high speed toward a certain corner of the village.
At that moment, Kabuto Yakushi was there.
And so was the Konoha ninja, disguised as a merchant.
