A burst of flames ignited in front of Raven's face as a shadow shot past him, forcing him to step back.
"Daydreaming? Seriously? You're getting weaker and weaker."
The irritated voice was followed by a swift movement.
Faster than the horrifying black specter itself, a flaming sword materialized in midair and shot toward the creature's back. The blade pierced through it instantly, engulfing it in fire.
A miserable scream echoed through the night before the creature was reduced to ashes.
Raven frowned as he looked at the man who had just landed in front of him.
The leather jacket hugging his muscular frame, paired with matching dark pants and boots, only added to the effortless confidence radiating from him.
"Leave, Tristan," Raven growled.
The man with shoulder-length, tousled waves ran a hand through his hair. A dimple appeared on his ruggedly handsome face as he smirked.
"Yeah, I'll leave once you tell me what you're doing here."
"Taking a walk."
Tristan laughed.
