When evening came, Kabir returned and went straight to his room.
I had already asked Amma to call the doctor for his check-up.
The doctor came, examined Kabir properly, and prescribed medicines.
After everything settled, I gathered my courage and walked toward his room.
He was sitting there, still a little tense.

He replied calmly, "No. He escaped… but he will be caught soon."
I nodded slowly, then took a breath.

He looked at me, slightly alert now.
I continued, my voice shaking a little, "Kadir was talking about some girl… Navya also said you brought me here… is that girl… me?"
The moment I said that, Kabir's expression changed.
His tone turned sharp. "Do you really want to talk about this right now?"
I swallowed my tears. "Yes… I do."
His voice hardened. "Then don't talk to me about it. Stop trying to give yourself importance. Just accept the fact that your aunt sold you !"
My eyes filled instantly, but I held it in.
"I know I was being sold here," I said softly. "But something is still hidden… and I will find out the truth."
Kabir stepped closer, frustrated. "There is nothing hidden. You just like creating problems."
I took a step back, hurt rising in my chest.
"Fine…" I whispered. "If you won't tell me… I'll find out myself."
Without waiting for his response, I turned and walked out of the room.
I started thinking alone in my room !
I took out my copy and began writing down everything carefully—Navya's words, Kadir's threats, Kabir's reactions… everything I had noticed.
Slowly, a pattern started forming in my mind.
Navya knows something, but she won't tell me.
Kadir is dangerous, but I can't directly reach him.
And Kabir… he's the only one who can give me the truth.
But he won't speak.
I leaned back, frustrated.
"Then how do I find out?" I whispered to myself.
My eyes drifted around the room as I kept thinking.
Then suddenly, a thought clicked.
Kabir's room.
He is the owner… only he can tell me the truth
I sat up quickly.
"But how …?" I muttered. "I need to convince him…"
I kept thinking for a few minutes… until an idea slowly formed in my mind.
A risky one.
I took a deep breath and went to Kabir's room.
He looked at me the moment I entered.
"What now?" he asked, slightly tired.
I lowered my gaze, acting calm.
"I understand now," I said softly. "You're not hiding anything. I was wrong."
He narrowed his eyes. "So suddenly you understood?"
I nodded. "Yes… truth has to be accepted."
He studied me for a moment, then said, "Good. Now go and rest."
But I didn't move.
Instead, I stepped a little closer.
"I'm ready," I said.
"For what?" he asked, confused.
I looked up at him and said...""I'm ready to work here !!!
His expression changed instantly.
"What nonsense are you talking about?" he said sharply.
I looked up at him. " What happened??? I was being sold to be that type of worker na !( I can't even use that word for me )
"You said I could take my time until I'm not ready yet."
So Now I'm ready kabir Rathore for whatever reason I was brought here !!! I said , acting convinced !

He nodded. "Yes madam… right now Kadir is on the run, so their side is weak. You might get the truth."
I looked down at the paper again.
And then he said - If you want to run away, I can help too !
My mind started spinning.

I was still hesitating, my thoughts tangled in confusion.
Kabir's angry face kept flashing in my mind—his warnings, his strict voice telling me not to get involved.
How he challenged me ??? I remembered in my head!
"Alright…" I finally said slowly, "but how?"
Ramesh looked around cautiously before speaking.
"Tomorrow, Kabir sir will leave for a meeting. He won't return until night. That's when we move. We'll go to a safe place and meet Umer."
Then he added in a lower voice, "Madam, Kabir sir has entrusted your responsibility to me. So it won't be too difficult."
I paused. Something still didn't feel right.

"I'll handle it," he assured me firmly.
The next day passed without Kabir ever coming to see me.
He was gone.

A few hours later, Ramesh came to me again.
"Madam, get ready."
"Amma?" I asked once more.
"She has been taken care of," he said calmly. "Navya madam has assigned her some work."
I frowned slightly. "She won't be hurt, right?"
"No, madam. She's safe. Just occupied."
Then he handed me a burkha.
"Wear this."
I hesitated for a moment… then slowly put it on.
We left through the side gate.
The moment I stepped outside, the air felt different—colder, heavier, unfamiliar.
We walked forward in silence.
And with every step, the darkness around us deepened.
I kept walking behind Ramesh, my steps slowing as the path grew darker and more unfamiliar.
"How much further?" I asked hesitantly.
"Just a little more, madam… it's here," he replied quickly. "Meet Umer, talk to him, and then you can leave this brothel. I have money, you can go to your friend after that."
I frowned slightly. "How do you know I have a friend?"
He gave a small, awkward pause. "Ah… madam… everyone has someone."

He shook his head. "I can't explain it."
My heart tightened.
"But the truth…" he added, "someone else will tell you."
I frowned. "Who?"
Silence followed.
And then—
from the darkness behind him, footsteps echoed.
Slow… deliberate…
My body stiffened instantly.
I turned slowly toward the sound.
And then I saw him.
Kadir stepped out of the shadows.
A cold smile on his face.
"So… you finally came
