Chapter 29 - Traced Paths and Unintended Encounters

[INT. JUNU'S CAFE – day]The next morning, the bright sun filtered beautifully through the massive glass windows of Junu's bustling coffee shop, illuminating the espresso machines [Ch. 43]. Kim Jun-u was standing straight behind the service counter, efficiently managing the cash register. His leg was completely plaster-free and moving with perfect alignment, but his close friend walked up next to his side with an anxious expression [Ch. 39, 43]."Hey, Junu, your build literally just got that heavy plaster cast removed yesterday at the clinic [Ch. 39, 43]," his friend warned, reaching for a milk jug. "Stop doing all the heavy lifting and material checking. Take a seat on the stool. Let my hands handle the floor work today.""Don't worry about my leg at all, man," Junu laughed, adjusting his apron [Ch. 43]. "I'm completely recovered and fine now. You've been managing this entire place alone for a whole week while I was stuck, take a proper break [Ch. 43]."Suddenly, the front door chimes rang out beautifully with a soft metallic jingle [Ch. 43]. Han Chae-won stepped inside the cozy shop threshold, laughing and chatting warmly with a group of her close girlfriends [Ch. 29, 43]. They walked over smoothly and settled their bodies down at a cozy corner table near the windows [Ch. 43].The exact microsecond Junu's eyes locked onto Chae-won's beautiful face, his heart skipped a massive, violent beat against his ribs [Ch. 29, 43]. He stood completely frozen like an absolute statue behind the register, entirely unable to look away from her smile [Ch. 43].A few minutes later, Chae-won stepped away from her group and walked over to the counter to place their order [Ch. 43]. She was deeply occupied typing out message logs on her mobile phone, completely failing to look up at Junu's face as she reached the register [Ch. 43]."Hi, please give me three iced lattes to go, thank you," Chae-won requested, her eyes still locked onto her screen display [Ch. 43]."Sure... coming right up," Junu whispered, his voice dropping into a quiet, deeply emotional whisper as he stared at her close features [Ch. 43].Chae-won took the packed drink tray from his fingers, offered a generic, polite customer nod, and walked straight back to her table without realizing the café owner was her former priority patient [Ch. 43]. Junu let out a deep, sorrowful sigh from the bottom of his lungs, feeling thoroughly, deeply disappointed that she didn't even recognize his face as a normal standing person [Ch. 43]. Still, he kept watching her from a distance, a soft smile on his face just seeing her laugh freely with her friends [Ch. 43].When the group finished their drinks and stood up to leave, Junu personally walked over to collect the bill folio [Ch. 43]. Chae-won and her friends left the cash on the table and exited through the front doors [Ch. 43]. As Junu cleared the wooden surface, his eyes slid down onto the table—Chae-won had accidentally left her mobile phone sitting right beside the napkin holder [Ch. 43]!Junu scooped up the device and bolted out of the café doors onto the busy sidewalk pavement [Ch. 43]."Chae-won!" Junu screamed out loudly down the crowded street, running with full speed [Ch. 43]. "Wait! You left your phone at the table [Ch. 43]!"Han Chae-won stopped dead in her tracks on the sidewalk, spinning her body around sharply [Ch. 43]. Her dark eyes went completely, utterly wide in pure, unadulterated shock as she saw his frame standing firmly on his own two feet [Ch. 29, 43]. "Junu?! Oh my god! Is this actually your café property [Ch. 43]?! Wow... I was so distracted by the group, I didn't even look at the counter properly! Thank you so incredibly much for bringing this out to my hands [Ch. 43]!""It's completely okay, Chae-won," Junu flashed a brilliant, confident smile, his heart pounding against his ribs [Ch. 43].But right at that split-second microsecond, a sleek car pulled up along the curb [Ch. 43]. A handsome male friend leaned out of the driver's window, tapping the horn aggressively twice [Ch. 43]."Hey, Chae-won!" the friend called out, waving [Ch. 43]. "Hurry up and hop in! The restaurant reservation line is going to close soon [Ch. 43]!""Oh, that's my ride!" Chae-won turned back to Junu, waving her hand with a smile [Ch. 43]. "I mandatory have to run, Junu! It was amazing seeing your leg walk so perfectly today. Take care of yourself, bye [Ch. 43]!"She slid into the passenger seat, and the vehicle quickly sped off into the heavy traffic lanes [Ch. 43]. Junu stood on the pavement curb, his expression dropping into temporary loneliness, but a lingering warmth stayed in his chest from their brief talk before he walked back inside his café [Ch. 43]

[INT. PENTHOUSE – CONTINUOUS – DAY]Meanwhile, back across the town, the morning sun poured fully through the glass windows of the empty penthouse suite, where absolute patriarchal fury had officially broken past all limits. The terrifying 'Grand Guy' grandfather stood rigidly in the center of the penthouse , his knuckles turning pale white as his hands slammed his heavy wooden walking cane repeatedly, aggressively flat against the marble tiles with a thunderous thud [Ch. 44]. Right next to his stance, their stern father was pacing back and forth with frantic, heavy boots, his arms crossed tightly over his chest as his dark eyes fumed with absolute rage over their empty bedroom matrices [Ch. 44]."Those two ungrateful, reckless blockheads!!!" the Grandfather screamed strictly at the absolute top of his lungs, his thunderous voice echoing violently across the empty corridors as his face turned a burning shade of deep purple. "They actually dared to completely flee past my family gates under the cover of darkness?! Find their coordinates right now! I am going to tear down their entire office department desks today, and that is final!"

The advanced digital grid of the Choi family's private network hummed with surgical precision as it tracked the executive luxury sports car moving steadily through the bustling grid of downtown Seoul [Ch. 44, 45]. Inside the master bedroom of the penthouse suite, the Father stared intensely at his monitoring tablet layout, his strict brow furrowing as the tracking metrics plotted their path [Ch. 44, 45]."The telemetry logs are clear, Father," the Father reported strictly, turning his head toward the high-backed velvet chair where the patriarch sat. "The tracking coordinates show both of our boys are currently traveling through the busy metropolitan commercial lanes. [Ch. 41, 45]!"The 'Grand Guy' grandfather let out a dark, booming grunt of absolute patriarchal rage, aggressively slamming the metal tip of his polished wooden cane flat against the bedroom floorboards with a loud thud [Ch. 44, 45]. "Let the young fools run their secret lines through the streets today! We mandatory don't need to chase their boots across the city . I will sit right here behind these closed doors and count every single tick of the clock until their bodies step back past my threshold gates. I want to see exactly how their mouths justify this sudden escape layout, and that is final!"[INT. PENTHOUSE MAIN ENTRY – LATER EVENING]The pristine penthouse entryway fell completely into shadow as twilight turned into a dark autumn night over the Gangnam skyscrapers [Ch. 44, 45]. Moving with absolute, lightweight stealth, Mr. Choi Sun-woo and Dr. Choi Hyun-woo slowly, quietly pulled the heavy double doors open, attempting to slide their tailored formal suits into the dark corridor without tripping the automated security lights [Ch. 41, 44].Click.The grand overhead chandelier lamps suddenly flashed wide open with a brilliant, blinding glare, exposing their frozen, guilty frames directly to the center of the foyer. Standing right on the rug terminal, holding his heavy wooden walking cane high in the air, was their furious Grandfather, his face burning a deep purple shade as his father crossed his arms aggressively right behind his stance [Ch. 44, 45]."You reckless, ungrateful blockheads!!!" the Grandfather screamed strictly at the top of his lungs, his thunderous voice instantly cutting through the hallway vacuum as he began to aggressively march right behind their heels, chasing their frames across the floorboards while swinging his heavy cane through the air [Ch. 45]. "How on earth dare your feet ditch my grand manor bride selections?!""Grandfather, please! Stop the cane swinging, we are incredibly, profoundly sorry!" both brothers shouted in a frantic, synchronized unison, ducking their heads low as they raised their hands to shield their faces from the patriarchal wrath."We didn't run away to insult your corporate authority, Grandfather!" Dr. Hyun-woo yelled out, his deep voice rich with raw honesty as he anchored his long strides on the carpet [Ch. 45]. "The absolute truth behind our escape layout is... we both are deeply, completely, and permanently in love with someone else! Our hearts are officially locked with our real partners, and our minds cannot accept any high-society bride selections from the provincial catalog [Ch. 41, 45]!"The exact microsecond the words "deeply in love" registered in the bedroom, the Grandfather stopped his steps, lowering his wooden cane slowly onto the floorboards with a heavy frown as his dark eyes narrowed to slits. "What did your mouths just say?! You both are already running official relationship files behind my back?! Then why on earth did your stubborn brains fail to explicitly tell my face the data from the very beginning?!""Yes, Sun-woo, Hyun-woo!" their Father stepped forward, his strict commanding voice dropping into a wave of profound administrative regret as he rubbed his temples [Ch. 44, 45]. "If your lips had just clearly, openly told our branches about these secret relationships beforehand, why on earth would we have arranged that grand manor plaza meeting layout?! Why exactly did your silence force our elite family names to fall flat on our faces with embarrassment before the province lords?!""We genuinely, truly thought your tempers would lock our builds down, Dad," Sun-woo admitted, his executive composure perfectly neat as he adjusted his charcoal suit vest [Ch. 41, 45]. "We wanted to protect them.""Enough of these transparent fears!" the Grandfather scolded strictly, his stern features suddenly melting into a look of profound corporate curiosity as he tapped his cane. "If these housemates are truly the absolute women you love, then you mandatory need to bring their builds directly to my presence immediately! Introduce them to our family branch so my eyes can verify their character charts!"Hearing his unexpected approval, a massive wave of pure, unadulterated joy and intense relief washed entirely over the brothers' pale faces. They grinned ear to ear like absolute fools, nodding their heads frantically in unison as they shouted, "Yes, Grandfather! We will arrange everything smoothly!"That night, sleep was a beautifully satisfied, happy dream loop for both Choi brothers. Lying flat on their mattresses, their minds floated entirely inside the clouds of anticipation. Dr. Hyun-woo closed his eyes with a brilliant grin, thinking, 'Tomorrow morning... I am absolutely going to wake up early, buy the most gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers, and formally introduce Kim Seo-ah's beautiful face to my family elders [Ch. 45]!' Across the flat, Sun-woo smiled warmly at the ceiling panels, his heart racing as he prepared a premium executive gift box to Ma Ha-rin' [Ch. 41, 45]..
