After that, Kakashi Hatake explained the principles of the Eight Trigrams Seal to Orion. This time, the explanation took far less time compared to when he taught the Four Symbols Seal.
With the Four Symbols Seal already mastered, Orion found the Eight Trigrams Seal relatively straightforward. By evening, he had successfully learned it as well.
Learning only two sealing techniques in a single day left Orion slightly dissatisfied.
But Kakashi was completely stunned.
He himself had spent years trying to master both the Four Symbols Seal and the Eight Trigrams Seal—yet never succeeded. And now Orion had grasped both in just one day.
At this point, Orion's learning ability had already surpassed what Kakashi could even comprehend.
Orion, however, didn't realize just how abnormal this was.
In his mind, he simply recalled how Itachi Uchiha once learned the Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique just by watching his father once.
But the gap between that and what Orion had just achieved was enormous.
The Four Symbols Seal and Eight Trigrams Seal were S-rank forbidden techniques, while the Great Fireball Technique was merely a C-rank jutsu. The difference in difficulty was like heaven and earth—especially since sealing techniques were far more complex than standard ninjutsu.
Kakashi could use S-rank techniques like Chidori with ease—yet couldn't even learn these sealing techniques.
That night, on the way back from the mountain behind the village…
Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki suddenly blocked their path.
Kakashi, Orion, and Sakura Haruno looked at the two standing in front of them.
"Finished training early today?" Orion asked, confused.
Sasuke stepped forward.
"Orion… teach me how to become stronger."
Orion froze.
Naruto also stepped forward.
"Orion, I want you to help me get stronger too!"
Kakashi frowned.
"What's going on with you two?"
Although he had expected this, the fact that they only brought it up now surprised him.
Orion sighed inwardly. He had hoped they wouldn't ask this.
Both Sasuke and Naruto ignored Kakashi, staring straight at Orion with intense determination.
Kakashi rubbed his forehead helplessly.
"So it finally happened…"
Sakura looked a bit awkward—because she was the one who had told them everything.
Under their questioning, she had revealed Orion's performance that day in full detail.
No matter how Orion tried to downplay it, the facts couldn't be changed:
He had killed an elite jonin, Raiga KurosukiHe had suppressed Naruto's rampage with a single jutsu
Even now, the battlefield remained in ruins—hundreds of meters flattened into scorched earth.
In Sakura's description, Orion had looked like a god descending upon the battlefield.
Orion looked at the two of them and felt a headache coming.
"I already told you—I don't know how to make you stronger. I'm learning from Kakashi myself."
"That's impossible!" Naruto retorted.
"Kakashi-sensei can't be that strong!"
Kakashi's face darkened.
Even if it was true… hearing it out loud still hurt.
Sasuke stared at Orion seriously.
"What do you want? If I have it, I'll give it to you."
Orion rolled his eyes.
"I want you two to stop bothering me. Can you do that?"
The truth was, Orion didn't mind teaching them—but everything he knew came from Kakashi. And his own modified techniques weren't something others could use anyway.
Sasuke, however, took it as refusal.
He clenched his teeth.
"Orion… I… I can become your disciple."
Everyone froze.
Orion's mouth twitched.
Are you trying to get me killed? he thought.
Your teacher is standing right here—have you thought about his feelings? Or mine?
Sakura and Naruto were shocked. Sasuke—of all people—lowering himself like this?
In the ninja world, taking someone as a master wasn't the same as being assigned a teacher. It meant lowering one's status—a lifelong bond of master and disciple.
This instantly put both Orion and Kakashi in an extremely awkward position.
And just as Sasuke was about to kneel—
A surge of chakra exploded from Orion.
The overwhelming pressure stopped Sasuke's knees from bending.
Sasuke froze and looked up.
Orion's voice turned cold.
"If you do this… we can't even remain classmates anymore."
"Don't make things difficult for me."
Sasuke was stunned.
Then he understood.
He clenched his fists tightly.
"But I want to become stronger! I know you can make me stronger! I'll do anything for it!"
"As long as I can kill that man… I'd even give up my life!"
Orion didn't budge.
"So you're saying… you have no confidence in surpassing him with your own effort?"
Sasuke fell silent.
"Is that it?" Orion pressed.
Still no answer.
Orion's tone turned sharp, almost mocking.
"Sasuke… I really overestimated you."
"I thought you had pride. That you'd become my strongest rival someday."
"Looks like you don't even qualify."
His words hit hard.
Sasuke trembled.
Did he not know how humiliating this was?
Of course he did.
But Itachi Uchiha was too strong.
The memory of that night… the massacre… the absolute despair—
It crushed him every time he thought about it.
And now, seeing Orion's overwhelming strength only reminded him of Itachi even more.
The gap between him and Orion…
…was already so large he couldn't even see Orion's back anymore.
At that moment, Sasuke finally lost his composure.
