Mount Everest
The wind was freezing, and snow drifted through the sky.
A large amount of blue liquid seeped out from the Wind God II, instantly wrapping it completely. In just a few breaths, the massive mech disappeared without a trace—leaving only Limulu standing there in light summer clothes.
Seeing Limulu's true appearance, Baron Mordo was slightly surprised, but not shocked. In the world of magic, appearances meant nothing.
For example, his master—the Supreme Sorcerer—looked young, yet no one knew her true age.
Although his interaction with Limulu had been brief, Mordo's expression grew increasingly serious.
Bringing Limulu to Mount Everest was a decision he had made after careful consideration.
The environment here was extremely harsh. Even experienced mages could not stay long without continuously consuming magic to resist the cold.
He had trained here multiple times, so he knew the conditions well. Fighting here was like gaining half an advantage in his home terrain.
More importantly, the extreme cold would severely restrict the use of her high-tech equipment.
Mordo had witnessed the Wind God's performance firsthand, and even though it had been heavily damaged, he still did not dare underestimate it.
He was not arrogant enough to believe his magic was invincible.
At least compared to his master, his power was still far behind.
But what he didn't expect was that this mysterious intruder had actually removed her electronic device entirely—and even more frightening, she didn't seem to use any magic to resist the cold at all, as if she completely ignored it.
Even the Supreme Sorcerer herself would not be able to simply ignore this level of cold.
This miscalculation made Mordo feel an even deeper sense of unease.
This battle had to end quickly—otherwise, the extreme environment would kill him first.
Crack!
Mordo swung his black staff behind him. The segmented structure split apart, transforming into a flame whip made of magical energy, sparks bursting from every joint.
Without another word, he rushed forward and struck at Limulu's head.
"Too slow."
Limulu tilted her head slightly and easily dodged.
Mordo ignored the mockery. His whip struck like a dragon—horizontal slashes, vertical strikes, sweeping arcs, piercing jabs, layered attacks.
He fought with everything he had, but to his frustration, Limulu kept her hands behind her back and dodged effortlessly every time—always at the perfect timing.
Too strong.
It felt as if he were directly facing his master.
Mordo inhaled sharply, cold air pouring from his mouth and nose.
The combination of intense combat and extreme cold was draining his magic rapidly.
"Limulu, you should understand the gap between us. If I wanted to kill you, you'd already be dead. We are not enemies."
Limulu looked strange for a moment.
"If I really wanted to fight you, I wouldn't be standing here chatting."
Mordo remained unmoved.
"Demon King, don't try to tempt me. I can feel an unprecedented darkness within you. I am not fighting you for vengeance—I am protecting this world."
With a sudden stomp, sparks burst from beneath his boots, and his speed increased dramatically.
In an instant, he appeared behind Limulu, his whip breaking the sound barrier as it lashed down—
"Success!"
But the strike felt like hitting steel. Mordo's hands went numb.
Only then did he realize Limulu's forehead was covered in a thick, armor-like layer.
What is this?!
Before he could react, Limulu grabbed the staff.
BOOM!
A heavy punch struck Mordo's soft abdomen.
He curled into a shrimp-like shape and was sent rolling dozens of meters across the snow.
Limulu examined the weapon in her hand.
"Great Sage, what is this?"
"'Life Tribunal'?"
She blinked.
The name sounded absurdly exaggerated.
In the Marvel universe, the Life Tribunal is an immensely powerful cosmic being whose judgment affects entire realities.
It had stopped Doctor Strange from destroying Earth, prevented the White Phoenix from erasing universes, and even reduced the Infinity Stones to useless stones with a snap.
Limulu stared at it.
"…Seriously? This name?"
It felt like naming a small forest "Norwegian Forest" or a random street "Champs-Élysées."
Apparently, this naming style wasn't exclusive to her world.
BOOM!
Just as she was thinking this, Mordo slammed both hands onto the ground.
The earth rippled like waves, and the world around them began to shift.
"Mirror Dimension?!"
Limulu was surprised. The magic from Doctor Strange—a space that twists reality without affecting the real world.
Mordo continued casting, still resisting the cold while maintaining the dimension.
"You know too much. Without the Sling Ring, you cannot leave here. And you will never reach the other side alive."
He opened a portal filled with sparks—two worlds split apart.
One side: snow and ice.
The other: bright sunlight and wind.
But just as he was about to step through—
He saw Limulu, who had been thrown far down the mountain, suddenly rushing back upward.
Wings spread from her back—not feathered angel wings, but something closer to bat-like wings.
"Cheater…!" Mordo muttered.
She had armor, wings, and absurd regeneration—this wasn't fair.
Limulu extended her hand.
Swish!
Thin, transparent steel wires shot out and wrapped around Mordo tightly.
He struggled, but could not break free.
"You demon—on the other side is Kamar-Taj! The Supreme Sorcerer is there!"
Mordo tried to intimidate her, but Limulu didn't respond.
Instead—
Her body suddenly turned into a blue sphere, then liquid, and flowed directly into the portal.
The portal was instantly engulfed in blue energy—and vanished.
Limulu reformed on the other side, brushing herself off as if nothing had happened.
"…Can I eat through portals too?"
Mordo froze completely.
As the chief disciple of the Supreme Sorcerer, he had just witnessed something that completely shattered his understanding of magic.
He might as well be studying fake magic.
