The arena was packed . Everyone was waiting to see what will happen in the second trial. The arena was different. It was splt into two halves. But these arena was in the woods . Rucious voice thundered through the arena on a raised platform high above in the sky. He said today is the second trial. The second trial is capture the flag. Each team must defend there flag while going to steal other opponents flag. They will be multiple teams in the woods so you can get attacked any time. He said this trial you can chose your teammate.
Fiona came rushing to me and avalion and said . I know who am picking . We looked at her and said yes . So we went to pick the flag. The minute we took it we were teleported to a random location in the woods. Avalion said the game has begun. I told fiona hold our flag. Since your fast and you know ho w to navigate. She said okay. So I gave her the flag. Avalion you should be our strategist. Obviously am the one who has lived in strategies. I just laughed. I asked him. Where should we put our flag. He said on a high hill. I looked up
And saw a hill. So we told fiona come with us . She humbly obliged. As we were walking we could hear the prowling of wolves . The forest was covered in mist . Illusions started appearing but avalion striked them with pinpoint accuracy . Protecting us before we reached . Rival teams found there way through the forest . They were looking at us with searing determination in there eyes then I remembered. This competition is about capturing flags. The rival teams before they pounced avalion said game on.
The rival teams pounced on us before one of them reached us avalion . Got a stick. And whacked the person down. The same person tried by shooting stones at avalion dodged them . Then started running around in circles. The guy was throwing everything then I saw a grin and devilish smirk form on his . I saw two other teammates with swords jump in the air and do a triple backflip. There sword had connected with avalions skin .I was left there shaking . Then I screamed with high intensity "Avalion no get out of there". A second later . I saw avalion hit his staff on the ground but it seemed that the staff was emanating with aura it was blue and white. Then Boom . I saw the ground breaking and the the opponents were defeated.
I looked at avalion staring at him with my mouth wide open. Fiona came and said when did you learn that. He said just knew moves you imagine then you implement them. I came to avalion and said . You almost died . Avalion looked at me and laughed. You think I can die
I said no. Then we took the flag and avalion came to me and said dont worry. Never be worried about me . I looked at him and said okay i f you want it that way. We continued our journey and arrived at the hill. We placed the two flags we got and we looked up and saw truth orbs . They were flying in the area the are scouting the place for any dangerous enemy
The truth orbs came to us and stayed there scanning us . Then they said scan complete no evil spotted here. Then they flew off. We were left the re shocked. We concentrated on the mission on hand . Avalion was saying any minute an enemy can attack. The misty forest was looking like a dark fantasy horror. They were whispers in the trees.
Shadows in the trees lurking . An enemy can be in those woods . The whistling of the wind. The dampness of the earth it was show time. We made a barrier, to protect our flags . Fiona was saying
"The more flags the more fun and competition ". We just stared at her and focused. We started running so we could find more teams . While I was running the forest looked like it was receding so I started running more fast.
I remember the move avalion did it was shocking me . I stared at avalion and said . I must not hold back. We met those illusions, but they looked more stronger than usual. Then in a split second you see the illusion coming at you. I dodged it successfully. I looked at avalion and said this is not a normal illusion or its powered up I said
Avalion looked at me and nodded in approval. The spirit lunged at us again . We dodged it but avalion dodged it and tried to do the same move but it failed . The illusion hit him and it sent him flying towards a nearby tree. He hit the trees with a thud then . Birds went out and fled from the scene when thud happened. The the illusion let out a blood curdling scream and proceeded mto fiona next
But she was not there she was zoned out . The illusion was going at fast speeds before its sharp claws connected fiona skin . I had got an a solution. I remember I have high mana and I was blessed by the gods of this universe in an instant I remembered a show I watched. A character turns on his power by stomping his feet. So I used the same for this new move.
I started stomping . The ground was shaking the earth was vibrating I could hear every sound . I stomped then said
" WAVES OF AGONY"
Next I new was water was coming from my feet at an alarming rate. It seemed these waves I created had effect. The illusion was screaming for its dear life then it shattered into tiny pieces. The waves ended. I was very tired from that . I went to inspect the illusion . I was left terrified. It was made of ice. I was seathing with fury clenching my fists in rage
This was someone's work I said. I kicked the ice . Then went to fiona . She was stunned. She broke out into tears. Am sorry I have not been helping. I told its okay . At least your safe. She wiped her tears and nodded we proceeded to avalion he had scars even minor ones he didn't have.
I touched him then said " Avalion wake up " . He woke up with a startled face and asked. Has the illusion been defeated.
"I said yes"
"He said good"
I told him the illusion was made out of ice. His face was shaken. He asked who could have that good mastery to make an illusion thats hard to be beat. I said clenching my fist I don't know. We should keep our eyes open for threats cause it seemed the real competition began .
Up in the trees were Kael, Darius and Lyria. They were looking at us. Kael smirked . He said that over there is our competition for the match and my lunch for today's trial. Darius looked a Kael and told him lets strategise first. Lyria was there calculating the odds of winning in her head then Kael told Darius lets retreat to strategise. Darius left with Kael and Lyria followed in suit. Soon they had disappeared into the murky forest to strategise.
