Chapter 126 - Chapter 127: Phantom Lord IV

The roots of the wutong tree extended from the manor underground all the way to the guild's basement.

Those thick roots traveled through the soil like golden snakes, passing through foundations, bypassing pipes, and winding along the most hidden crevices.

When they arrived directly beneath the guild, they suddenly burst through the ground, the roots coiling and winding on the floor, emitting a soft and warm glow.

Everyone in the guild could feel a gentle surge of life energy entering their bodies, rising from the soles of their feet like hot spring water and flowing through their meridians to every limb and bone; their fatigue vanished, and even the dull pain of old injuries receded a bit.

"What is this? My body feels so much lighter." Someone moved their arms in surprise and clenched their fist in disbelief.

Riyao reached out to touch the wutong tree roots that had emerged nearby; his fingertips touched the golden bark, conveying a warm sensation, like touching the pulse of a living creature.

"This is my home's wutong tree. Fight with everything you've got; it will heal your injuries."

The morale of the guild members soared, their cheers so loud that the dust on the ceiling fell in showers.

"Whoa! This is too strong! With this, what do we have to fear!"

"If they want a fight, they'll get one! Who's afraid of whom!"

Mirajane used Take Over: Satan Soul. She picked up Riyao in a princess carry, her silver hair and his pink hair intertwining in the wind as her wings flapped powerfully, and she soared into the air.

"We're going to their headquarters!"

Riyao said with a smile, his arms wrapped around Mirajane's neck like a lazy cat, his tone as relaxed as if he were talking about going on a picnic.

"Mhm, let's go take down that old ghost Jose together."

Natsu refused to be outdone, his fists igniting with flames as he shouted to Happy, "Happy, let's go destroy Jupiter!"

Happy flapped his wings and flew over, looking excited: "Aye!"

Gray and Elfman also refused to be outdone and charged forward together.

Erza wanted to go too, but having just blocked Jupiter, even if only for a short while, she had consumed a lot of magic power.

She clenched her fist, feeling the little magic power remaining in her body, and grit her teeth, ultimately staying behind to guard the guild.

Cana pulled out her cards. The material of that deck was clearly high-quality, the swirling patterns on the back shimmering in the sunlight; these were exclusive cards made by Gildarts and Riyao, each containing terrifying destructive power.

Lisanna also used Take Over: Animal Soul, two cat ears appearing on her short white hair as her body became light and agile, preparing for battle.

Lucy reached for her waist, only to remember that she had lost her keys earlier; her expression changed, and she turned and ran to find them.

Loki stood in the corner, looking thoughtfully at Lucy's departing back, a complex light flashing in his eyes.

Levy and her team also came out to face the battle; Jet and Droy's hands holding their weapons didn't shake at all.

Levy pushed up her glasses, her short blue hair swaying gently in the wind, her magic pen already in hand.

In the guild's infirmary, Makarov also began preparing to settle the score with Jose. His small body jumped down from the hospital bed and he stretched his shoulders; although they were still a bit stiff, the fury in his eyes was enough to burn through steel.

Ur sat by the window with her legs crossed, her wooden body leaning against the window frame as she watched the figures rushing out to fight, a smile slowly curling on her lips.

She thought to herself that sending Gray to the west was the right choice; the boy had found a real family here.

"Master Makarov, these children of yours are truly wonderful."

Makarov puffed out his chest, his mustache curling up proudly: "Of course, they're all children I've watched grow up."

When he said this, his pride was beyond words, and his cloudy old eyes shimmered with tears.

Riyao and Mirajane charged directly into the Phantom Lord guild, the magic power of the one demon and one Celestial Spirit making no attempt to hide, crashing into the enemy ranks like two meteors.

Black magic power and pale gold Celestial Spirit power intertwined, forming a terrifying pressure that made the lackeys unable to even lift their heads, their knees bending involuntarily.

"You Phantom Lord trash, are you prepared?" Mirajane's voice echoed through the corridor with a demonic resonance.

"I really don't know what the point of you joining Phantom Lord is." Riyao had his hands in his pockets, his tone casual, but his golden pupils were as cold as two blocks of ice.

The two of them cooperated to knock down all the fodder, Mirajane's claws slashing and Riyao's fists striking, one on the left and one on the right, like two precision combat machines.

At least for now, they couldn't kill; they were still a Light Guild, and if they killed people, the nature of the situation would change.

Riyao laughed out loud thinking about where the ray would land after being deflected.

Mirajane looked over, her crimson eyes filled with curiosity, wondering what Riyao was laughing about.

Riyao shook his head, the smile on his lips impossible to suppress: "It's nothing, I just thought of something Happy."

On Natsu's side, he successfully destroyed the Jupiter core; a massive explosion sounded from the fortress, and flames soared into the sky. Jose, driven to madness, activated Purgatory Break, and the entire fortress began to vibrate violently as magic power surged from the core.

The Fairy Tail members were originally rejoicing over the destruction of Jupiter, but seeing the emerging khaki-colored magic circle, their smiles instantly froze on their faces. That magic circle was too large, covering the entire sky like someone had drawn a massive death symbol on the firmament.

Levy recognized it, pushed up her glasses, her voice trembling: "This is Purgatory Break! A scale like this could level all of Magnolia!"

Macao grit his teeth, his fists clenching until they creaked: "Are they crazy? This will kill a lot of people!"

Wakaba held his pipe, the tobacco inside already extinguished without him noticing: "Aren't they afraid of the Council's reckoning afterward?"

Erza's face was grim, her brownish-red eyes full of anger and disbelief: "A bunch of lunatics."

Makarov walked out, his small body standing at the guild entrance, hands behind his back, looking up at the massive magic circle in the sky; there was no fear in his cloudy old eyes, only rage.

"Trust in Riyao and the others. This old man is also going to settle the score with that trash Jose."

The guild members cheered when they saw Makarov appear.

"The Master is okay!"

"Great! The Master is back!"

Riyao and Mirajane fought their way up; there were more and more fodder in the corridors, but not one could stop the two for even a second. Claws and fist winds struck alternately, leaving a mess in their wake.

Until they encountered the head of the Element 4, Aria.

The man in the white robe stood at the end of the corridor, arms spread, emitting dark purple magic power all over his body, with a compassionate expression on his face.

"This is so sad."

Riyao looked at Aria with eyes reserved for the dead; there was no warmth in his golden pupils, only cold killing intent. This was the first time since he crossed over that he had felt the urge to kill.

If he hadn't been unable to directly reveal future information, the old man wouldn't have had to suffer. This Aria was the one who had ambushed Makarov.

Riyao raised his hand, and an invisible force surged from his palm like a giant hand, pulling Aria directly toward him.

Aria's body flew toward Riyao uncontrollably, his dark purple magic power useless against the gravitational pull.

Riyao grabbed him by the throat, his fingers tightening; Aria's face instantly turned red, and his feet kicked wildly off the ground.

Then Riyao's other fist slammed into his stomach, directly dissipating most of Aria's life force, the dark purple magic power drifting away from him like mist.

[Enchantment Magic: Weight of Life]

A pale gold light enveloped Aria, and his body aged at a speed visible to the naked eye; his skin became shriveled and wrinkled, his hair turned from black to a pale silver, his eye sockets sank, and he suddenly looked like he had aged fifty years.

Aria's aged white hair had appeared, and he collapsed to the ground, unable to even stand, his mouth opening and closing as he made indistinct sounds.

After finishing, Riyao tossed him aside like a dead dog, not giving him another look.

The two continued forward, heading toward the top floor where Jose was located.

Meanwhile.

Gray encountered Juvia. The woman with long blue hair stood in the corridor, rain falling all around her; the moment she saw Gray, the rain stopped for an instant.

Natsu also faced off against Gajeel. When the Iron Dragon saw Natsu, iron scales automatically covered his body, and a warlike smile curled on his lips, but his back was still throbbing with pain; although the memory of being beaten by Mirajane last night was blurred, the physical pain remained.

Elfman, who could perform a full Take Over of the Beast Soul, directly overwhelmed Sol; his massive beastly body sent Sol flying with a single punch, crashing through three walls. He was currently clearing out the fodder, each punch carrying the brute force of a wild beast.

There were truly many fodder in the Phantom Lord guild, swarming from every corner like cockroaches, but the top-tier combat power was pitifully scarce. Three of the Element 4 had already fallen, and the remaining Juvia wouldn't last much longer.
