Chapter 242 - Chapter 242: Who Are You? Do You Deserve My Favor

Hai Bodong had no intention of wasting words with him. He simply wanted to resolve everything as swiftly as possible. He was now a Great Elder of Eternal Heaven Divine Palace, and his schedule was far too full.

"Profound Ice Kill."

A vast quantity of ice coalesced around Hai Bodong. Under his command, it shaped itself into a roaring torrent that swept directly toward Yuan Yi, the City Lord.

Yuan Yi frantically pulled out one defensive treasure after another from his storage ring, crushing them one by one. The Profound Ice torrent hammered relentlessly against the shields of light that flickered around his body. Under the onslaught, his treasures were depleted at a terrifying pace. When the last one shattered, Yuan Yi's body was left utterly exposed. The Profound Ice tore into him. Before his blood could even flow, the cold flash-froze it in his veins.

As the torrent dissipated, it revealed Yuan Yi, the City Lord—frozen solid within a block of ice. The frozen mass tumbled uncontrollably and shattered against the ground.

Bai Ya's battlefield was even more savage. His opponents were all at the Dou Wang level, and with his strength equivalent to an Eight-Star Dou Huang, he was a wolf loosed among sheep. He chased the Dou Wangs relentlessly, scattering them in every direction, their terror palpable.

"Don't kill me! Kill them! Why are you only chasing me? I have body odor! Athlete's foot! I don't taste good!"

"Don't eat me! I just relieved myself! I've been suffering from internal heat lately—I smell awful, I can't even control my bowels!"

"I can be your human slave! Just spare my life! You can do anything you want to me!"

Among them, a heavily made-up woman even winked at Bai Ya, pulling open a large portion of her dress to reveal half of her ample bosom.

"…"

The remaining Dou Wangs had just watched several of their comrades get devoured alive. They howled for mercy, frantically listing every filthy detail about themselves, hoping to convince Bai Ya to spare them.

Bai Ya was, in fact, affected by their words. He paused in midair, a clear look of disgust in his eyes. The group thought their desperate pleas had swayed him. The female Dou Wang even flapped her wings and flew toward him, her surging aura rushing forward with her flight.

"This woman is too shameless to live," someone muttered.

"Is this a human-beast romance?" another wondered aloud.

"Such a surging aura… it's thrilling!" a few of the male onlookers remarked, their points of focus clearly elsewhere.

The surrounding students watched the spectacle unfold. The women wore expressions of disgust, while a small portion of the men seemed to be observing something rather different.

Bai Ya watched the woman approach. He swung his massive tail and lashed out. The enormous tail made intimate contact with the woman's body.

Bang!

Under the force of that strike, the woman's body was directly smashed into a mist of blood.

"What kind of trash are you? Do you even deserve my favor?" Bai Ya's exasperated voice rang out. His image had nearly been ruined. He didn't spare the dissipating blood mist a single glance. His massive body shot toward the remaining Dou Wangs once more. "Since you are all so filthy, I shall become the world's sanitation worker, lest you continue to defile this world."

When the Dou Wangs heard Bai Ya's words, they were momentarily bewildered by the term "sanitation worker." But this was no time for confusion. They scattered in every direction, fleeing for their lives.

As for the phrase "sanitation worker," Bai Ya had picked it up while listening to Xiao Tian tell stories. Sometimes, when he performed well on missions, his master would let him run wild in the Black-Corner Region. On occasion, he would use these opportunities to listen to the stories as well. Listening was secondary, of course. The main objective was to show his face in front of Xiao Tian as often as possible. That way, when rewards were being handed out, his master might think of him. Just like his master's other stinky snake, who was always showing its face—it had already reached the peak of Fifth-Tier Magical Beast. Bai Ya was sick with envy.

While Bai Ya was amusing himself chasing the Dou Wangs, the dust on the ground below gradually settled, revealing the scene within. A standing figure emerged from the haze. Xiao Tian. At his feet lay a corpse, its eyes frozen wide open in death. It was Old Eagle Claw. Both of his hands had been severed, and blood still gushed from the stumps, staining the entire ground crimson.

A long halberd was plunged deep into his chest. Xiao Tian pulled the weapon free with a smooth motion, and a spray of blood erupted from the wound. He gave the halberd a practiced flick, and the blood flew from the blade and crescent edge, leaving the weapon gleaming with cold light under the sun.

"Holy hell! That old man was a Six-Star Dou Huang! And he just died at Xiao Tian's hands? What level is Xiao Tian's cultivation?!"

"Could Xiao Tian already be a Dou Huang?"

"Junior Sister Han Yue, do you know what Xiao Tian's cultivation level is?"

Even Lin Xiuya, standing nearby, could no longer maintain his usual calm. He turned to Han Yue, his face full of astonishment. Everyone else also turned to look at her, their eyes brimming with curiosity.

Han Yue watched Xiao Tian display his prowess, and a look of unmistakable pride bloomed on her face. "I don't know either. I never asked him. If you want to find out, you can ask him yourself later."

Lin Xiuya heard Han Yue's words and immediately thought better of it. What if he asked and ended up experiencing it firsthand?

The outcomes of the other battlefields were steadily revealing themselves. Old Ban's face shimmered with a ghastly rainbow of colors, terrifying toxins visibly coursing through him. Blood filled his mouth, and his expression was twisted in agony as he staggered. Yuan Yi, the City Lord, was frozen solid—a block of ice barely clinging to the last shreds of life.

As for Han Feng, who had taken a direct palm strike from Wen Yan, he had secretly consumed a large quantity of healing pills while the smoke still swirled around him. Old Wen had long since noticed his actions but paid them no mind. Xiao Tian had quietly instructed him earlier not to kill Han Feng outright. Though Old Wen found the order slightly puzzling, he understood his role. A subordinate simply needed to follow orders. His earlier palm strike had not used much of his true strength. Otherwise, against Han Feng's half-step Dou Zong cultivation, a full-power blow would have left him either dead or permanently crippled.

A flaming longsword materialized in Han Feng's hand. He struggled to his feet, scanning the battlefield to assess the situation. As his eyes swept across the chaos, two figures—one gold, one silver—crashed heavily into the ground right in front of him. The Gold and Silver Elders. The two had been merrily exchanging blows with Su Qian earlier when they had heard the screams. They had looked up to find three unknown Dou Zong powerhouses now dominating the field, and their hearts had seized with alarm. They had immediately tried to retreat from this death trap.

Su Qian had sensed their intentions the moment they formed. But the advantage was now theirs. Once his Dou Zong allies finished off their respective opponents, they would come to deal with these two. Su Qian threw everything he had into the fight, trading injuries without hesitation, just to hold them in place.

"Old Su! Let us go! We will apologize to your academy afterward! You may have anything you desire!" The golden-robed elder stared at the reckless, relentless Su Qian, then glanced at the enemies who were moments away from finishing their battles. He spoke urgently, his voice dropping low.

"I desire nothing. I only wish to keep the two of you right here."

Su Qian was a man of few words—but ruthless. Even as he spoke, he pressed his attack against the Gold and Silver Elders.

"Damn old man! You are forcing our hand! Then we will no longer hold back!" The Gold and Silver Elders exchanged a single glance and nodded. The aura around their bodies began to surge uncontrollably.
