Elizabeth's head injury wasn't severe, but Takbir's wounds were quite serious. He had four stitches on his arm and six on his hand. Because of this, they had to stay in the hospital for three days. Even while injured, Takbir fulfilled his responsibility of caring for Elizabeth. But it wasn't only Takbir—Elizabeth also tried her best to stay beside him and look after him. They supported each other so completely that it felt as if no distance or obstacle could exist between them.
Although they were not husband and wife in the true sense, a priceless and profound friendship had developed between them—a friendship built on trust, affection, and selfless care.
Today, they were finally discharged from the hospital.
The car was heading toward the airport.
Elizabeth still had no idea where they were going. Curiosity swirled endlessly in her mind. However, judging by Takbir's expression, he didn't seem interested in answering any questions right now.
But Elizabeth couldn't hold herself back.
"Excuse me."
"Yes, Madam?"
"Where are we going?"
Takbir had been typing continuously on his phone. At her question, he raised his head and looked at her.
"Italy."
The moment the word reached her ears, a shockwave ran through Elizabeth's body. The brightness in her face faded.
"What are you saying?"
Takbir put away his phone and turned toward her.
"Listen to me, Elokeshi. Right now, Italy is the safest place for us. We don't have any other option."
"You don't understand! That psycho lives there! Why are you taking me directly into the tiger's cage? He'll never let me live peacefully. He'll kill me!"
"I'm here with you."
Takbir tried every possible way to reassure her, but Elizabeth's fearful mind refused to accept it.
"That psycho wasn't here all this time. We were living peacefully. Why are you doing this? Why can't you understand?"
Takbir's voice turned serious.
"Listen, birdie. Do you trust me?"
Silently, Elizabeth nodded.
Yet the fear inside her refused to disappear.
The car continued toward its destination.
A few minutes later, it stopped in front of the airport.
Takbir carried both suitcases by himself and started walking. Elizabeth quickly approached him.
"Give me one. You're struggling."
"I can manage."
"Why do you have to do everything alone? I want to help too."
She puffed her cheeks like a child.
Takbir smiled.
As they walked forward, he bit his lip to suppress a laugh.
"I'm at your service, wifely."
"Stop! Don't call me that!"
Elizabeth made a face.
"Oh! As you wish, my princess."
Elizabeth fell silent.
For some reason, her mood seemed off.
Takbir noticed it immediately.
He suddenly began laughing.
"Every best friend has the responsibility to give their bestie the best princess treatment. I don't want to fail at keeping my promises."
Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh.
And that smile filled Takbir's heart with warmth.
After a long nine-hour flight, they finally arrived in Italy.
Takbir stood outside the exit holding their luggage. Beside him stood Elizabeth.
After such a long journey, she was completely exhausted.
Meanwhile, Takbir kept calling someone repeatedly.
A trace of irritation was visible on his face.
Five minutes later, a Mercedes-Benz stopped in front of them.
A young man hurried out of the vehicle.
The moment he got out, he lowered his head respectfully before Takbir.
His face clearly showed fear.
"Sorry, Boss. I got delayed because of something."
The moment Takbir heard the word "because," he suppressed the anger inside him.
"Put the luggage in the trunk."
Reyan immediately obeyed.
Elizabeth, too tired to notice anything, yawned and moved toward the passenger seat.
Before she could open the door, Takbir opened it for her.
She looked at him curiously.
Takbir simply nodded.
Without a word, she got inside and relaxed into the seat.
Takbir then took the driver's seat.
Reyan finished loading the luggage and straightened up.
At that exact moment, Takbir drove away at full speed, leaving Reyan standing there.
Reyan's jaw dropped.
"Hey! You left me behind!"
Takbir drove smoothly and replied calmly,
"Don't worry. He knows the way."
Suddenly, Elizabeth frowned.
"What was he doing here?"
"Reyan is my bodyguard. I told him beforehand to come here and prepare everything."
"At this rate, your politics and business will collapse."
"No problem. Biyan will handle everything."
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes.
"Biyan... Reyan... those names..."
"They're twins."
"But they don't look alike."
Takbir smiled.
"Their personalities don't match either. One is extremely brave, while the other is incredibly timid."
Elizabeth laughed.
"Then what use is a coward to you?"
Suddenly, Takbir became serious.
The gentle lover disappeared, replaced by a leader.
"Every person possesses a unique talent that society often fails to notice. Just as a lotus blooms beautifully in a muddy pond, extraordinary talent can emerge even from poverty. Flowers bloom in cracks between stones. Likewise, ordinary people often hold extraordinary abilities. Talent only needs an opportunity."
"Oh really? Then what's Biyan's talent?"
"He's very good at hacking."
Takbir laughed.
Elizabeth looked suspicious.
"What exactly are you planning? Have you quit politics and started robbing banks?"
"Believe whatever you want."
Both of them burst into laughter.
