Chapter 11 - Become my first believer

Inside Furina's residence, everyone, whether Sophie's party, Grandpa Oggy, or her aunt, turned their gaze toward Furina, who suddenly grew serious, as if preparing to explain something important.

As for how the story reached this point, let's go back to where it all began.

[Fille- cough cough, Flashback]

"Finally, we've returned. Nothing feels as good as home, I suppose!"

Outside Soul Emperor Village, Furina peeked out of the carriage, her eyes roaming over the familiar, relaxing scenery. A comfortable smile curled on her lips.

Sophie looked at her with adoring eyes and shook her head, while Yushui hugged Furina from behind, grumbling softly.

"Wuwuwu… how could we ever live without little Furina in the future? I really don't want to leave you."

[Faith point: 520]

[Faith point: 430]

[Faith point: 540]

[Faith point: 435]

The other two felt the same, reluctant to part with their adorable, silly Fufu. Yet they knew this was only the first step of her journey, and her future shone brighter than theirs.

With innate full soul power, her becoming a Title Douluo was just around the corner,if nothing in between. Furina, though enjoying their embrace, also felt reluctant to part with them. But she knew it wasn't possible. They had their own lives, just as Grandpa Oggy and her aunt did.

She summoned her panel and glanced at the FP.

[Faith point: 62,575]

"Is there any way I can communicate with them?"

[Ding: Affirmative. Make them your believers, and you can stay connected whenever and wherever you wish.]

Furina glanced at the three, determination flashing across her silly face. "But, System, what will be the price of this connection?"

She wondered if it would require a certain amount of FP to maintain the bond, or perhaps soul power.

[Ding: Negative. No price or support is needed.]

She scratched her chin. "Nothing?"

[Affirmative. Nothing is needed. You are an Archon and also archon of all your believer's Faith. As their god, you can connect with them freely.]

"So I just need them to be my followers, and then I can look after them whenever I want? That's reassuring." She looked at the three and decided to make them her first believers, along with Grandpa Oggy.

It might seem rushed to do this now, but she knew she had to choose this path and expand her believers. Why not start here?

"There's something I have to say. Can we have a chat after we return?"

Everyone looked at Furina, who had suddenly turned serious. They glanced at each other, then with gentle smiles, all of them nodded, deciding to hear what she wanted to say.

After all, who could ignore serious Furina when she said, "I have something to say. Could we chat after we return?" Wild ideas immediately began to form in their minds.

Sophie: could it be she wants to become my sister?

Xiao Li: could it be, she wants to come with us, how exciting!

Yushui: Could it be… she finally wants to become my wife? I can't wait to return now!

Furina noticed their strange expressions with a hint of confusion, then turned her gaze to the familiar scenery outside, a comfortable smile on her lips.

[Filler End, thank you for watching]

And that's how everything reached this point.

Now, all of them sat watching the cute yet serious Furina, seated on a wooden chair, their eyes filled with expectation.

Sophie: This is it… did she finally decide to become my sister?

Xiao Li: Please, God, I don't want to part with Furina.

Yushui: So she wants me to meet her parents? This is too fast… but for Fufu, I'll face any challenge. Come at me, my in-laws!

"Ahem, ahem." Furina coughed lightly, preparing to dispel all their wild fantasies. "Well, first of all, there's something I haven't told Grandpa Oggy or anyone else, that I want to explain."

Grandpa Oggy gave her a gentle smile, while the others leaned forward with eager anticipation.

"The first thing is… I was chosen by the Goddess of Water from the Divine Realm to become her divine inheritor." She paused deliberately at the crucial moment, letting them digest the weight of her words.

Their eyes widened in shock. They exchanged glances, then turned back to Furina with disbelief. Questions swirled in their minds, but none dared interrupt her.

Satisfied with their reactions, Furina continued. "She noticed my talent and potential, so she chose me to inherit her divine throne, to become the next Water Goddess."

As for why not the Goddess of Justice? Well, there are many reasons. First of all, the Douluo Continent doesn't truly believe in justice, it believes in strength. If you are strong, then you are justice itself. If not, then what justice? You're just a villain causing trouble.

If I wanted to make this village my base, I had to ensure it wouldn't attract dangerous attention. If the Spirit Hall learned there was a Goddess of Justice here, and the Spirit Hall, who only believe in angel god who also give justice, would invite the whole village for 'tea.' And the Five Law Enforcers above might just throw lightning down upon us.

In truth, it doesn't matter what kind of god I'm called. I am both Goddess of Justice and Goddess of Water. The one I'm inheriting is the Hydro Archon. As for who chose me? Heck even I don't know. So what can I say?

Grandpa Oggy and her aunt exchanged worried glances, but the three others looked as though their entire worldview had shattered.

Divinity? What is the? Does that really exist? Their minds spiraled with questions, their norms overturned by her words.

Finally, Furina gathered her courage and spoke the most embarrassing yet heartfelt line: "So… I want you all to become my believers, so I can connect with you anytime and bless you."

Her cheeks flushed as she forced out the touching words.

"So… can you please become my first believers?"
