"Murder! Murder! They're all dead!"
"That silver-haired devil wiped out Higuma and his entire gang in an instant! Their heads just rolled right off!"
"Makino! Makino has been taken away!"
As Tobirama and his group casually led Makino away from the tavern, as though they were taking a leisurely stroll through their own backyard, the previously quiet streets of Foosha Village erupted into chaos.
Several brave villagers rushed toward Mayor Woop Slap's house in a panic.
Others with ties to the Dadan Family scrambled up Mount Colubo to deliver the news.
---
Inside the mayor's office.
"What did you say?!"
The elderly mayor, Woop Slap, sprang from his chair, his cane trembling violently in his hands.
"That silver-haired man... his name is Uchiha Tobirama?"
"Is he the monster with the one-trillion-berry bounty?"
The villager delivering the news looked on the verge of tears.
"I—I don't know, Mayor! But he looks exactly like the man in the newspaper! And then he opened his mouth and fired a purple beam of light, and Higuma's entire gang lost their heads!"
"It's over... it's all over..."
Woop Slap nearly fainted.
Who was Uchiha Tobirama?
A terrifying criminal who dared to kill a Celestial Dragon and cripple a Marine Admiral.
Why would someone like that come to a remote village like Foosha?
And now he had taken Makino.
"Quick! Bring me the Den Den Mushi! The special one!"
Trembling, Woop Slap pulled a unique Den Den Mushi wearing a dog-shaped hat from a locked safe.
This was a direct line to Marine Headquarters—one reserved for emergencies.
"Please answer... Garp, you old fool, answer the phone! The sky is falling back home!"
---
Marine Headquarters, Marineford.
Vice Admiral Garp's office.
Crunch! Crunch!
Garp sat with his feet on the desk, munching rice crackers while staring thoughtfully at the latest bounty poster.
"Uchiha Tobirama..."
"Can someone really strip away Devil Fruit powers?"
Admiral Kuzan was still unconscious in intensive care.
Seeing one of his own protégés reduced to such a state had left Garp in a foul mood.
Just then—
Pururururu...
Pururururu...
The dog-hat Den Den Mushi on his desk suddenly rang.
Garp blinked.
"Huh? The mayor?"
"Did Luffy and Ace cause trouble again?"
He picked up the receiver with his usual carefree grin.
"Hey, Mayor? Did that brat Luffy—"
"You idiot!"
Woop Slap's furious roar nearly ruptured Garp's eardrums.
"Garp! Something terrible has happened!"
"That devil Uchiha Tobirama—the monster with the one-trillion-berry bounty—is in Foosha Village!"
"He killed all the bandits and forcibly took Makino away! Said he wanted her to be a bartender!"
"Get back here now! If you're late, Makino's finished!"
Crack!
The bag of rice crackers in Garp's hand exploded into crumbs.
Silence filled the room.
The carefree old man vanished.
In his place stood a raging beast.
"What did you just say?"
His voice dropped dangerously low.
"That bastard... is in Foosha Village?"
"And he took... Makino?"
To Garp, Makino was practically family.
She had cared for Luffy and Ace for years, feeding them, watching over them, and treating them like her own little brothers.
He owed her more than he could ever repay.
And now someone had laid a hand on her.
"I understand."
Garp hung up.
No unnecessary words.
The expression on his face alone was enough to make anyone tremble.
Boom!
He rose to his feet.
His Justice cloak fluttered violently.
An overwhelming surge of Armament Haki erupted from his body.
The sturdy office desk instantly shattered into dust.
"Bogard!"
Garp's roar echoed through the corridor.
His adjutant rushed inside.
"Vice Admiral! What happened?"
"Prepare the ship."
"Immediately."
"We're heading for Foosha Village in the East Blue at full speed."
"I'm bringing them home."
---
Fleet Admiral's Office.
"What?! Garp is heading to the East Blue?"
Sengoku nearly crushed the documents in his hand.
"That old idiot!"
"At a time like this?"
"Uchiha Tobirama is already in the East Blue! Is he trying to get himself killed?"
Sengoku wanted Tobirama captured as much as anyone.
But the situation was still far too unclear.
Kuzan's condition remained fresh in everyone's minds.
If even Garp—the cornerstone of the Marines—were defeated or stripped of his strength, the Navy itself could collapse.
"Stop him!"
Boom!
Activating the powers of the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Buddha, Sengoku smashed through the office wall and shot toward the harbor.
---
The dog-headed warship had already left port.
Its engines roared.
Garp stood at the bow, his face darker than the storm clouds gathering on the horizon.
"Garp! Stop!"
A golden shockwave descended from the sky.
Sengoku landed heavily on the deck and grabbed Garp by the collar.
"Have you lost your mind?"
"Tobirama's abilities are completely unknown!"
"Kuzan was crippled!"
"The World Government is still discussing countermeasures!"
"What if you walk straight into a trap?"
"We don't even know what his objective is!"
"You'll ruin everything!"
Sengoku was speaking from reason.
As the Navy's future leader, he had to consider the bigger picture.
Unfortunately, reason no longer mattered.
Smack!
Garp knocked Sengoku's hand away.
His bloodshot eyes burned with fury.
"Countermeasures?"
"Trap?"
"Sengoku."
"Get out of my way."
He pointed toward the distant East Blue.
"That bastard is in my hometown."
"He took someone who helped raise my grandson."
"And Luffy and Ace are still there."
"If he decides to do something..."
"The consequences will be unimaginable."
Garp's voice boomed like thunder.
"If I can't protect my own family, then what kind of Hero of the Marines am I?"
Sengoku fell silent.
They had known each other for decades.
No one understood Garp better than he did.
Once this stubborn old man made up his mind, not even the Five Elders could stop him.
"But... he's dangerous," Sengoku said quietly.
"Kuzan said his Haki might even surpass Roger's."
"So what?"
Garp clenched his fists.
Crackling black lightning danced around them.
His Armament Haki surged like a tidal wave.
"Stronger than Roger?"
"Then I'll punch him anyway!"
"He can strip away Devil Fruits?"
"I don't have one!"
"These fists were made for beating arrogant bastards into the dirt!"
"Kuzan's debt."
"Makino's debt."
"I'll settle every single one personally!"
Turning away, Garp roared:
"Bogard!"
"Raise the sails!"
"Full speed ahead!"
"Destination: Foosha Village!"
"And if anyone tries to stop me—"
"I'll punch straight through them!"
"YES, SIR!"
The dog-headed warship surged forward like a cannonball, cutting through the sea at incredible speed.
Sengoku stood on the shoreline, watching it disappear into the distance.
Finally, he let out a helpless sigh.
"Come back alive, old friend..."
---
Far out at sea, the warship raced through the waves.
Garp stood alone at the bow.
Sea spray crashed against his face.
From his pocket, he pulled out a worn photograph.
In it, a young Luffy grinned from ear to ear while Makino stood beside him, smiling warmly.
For a moment, his expression softened.
Then he took out another piece of paper.
Tobirama's bounty poster.
The silver-haired man stared back at him with cold, contemptuous eyes.
Slowly, Garp crushed the poster in his hand.
The paper disintegrated into scraps.
"Uchiha Tobirama..."
"I don't care who you are."
"But if you dare lay a hand on my people..."
His fist tightened.
The sea itself trembled.
"Then prepare yourself."
"My fists have been itching for a fight."
Boom!
A terrifying killing intent erupted skyward.
The surrounding ocean exploded into towering columns of water, as though even the sea could feel the wrath of the Hero of the Marines.
The Navy's strongest fist had set sail.
