"Please, Lord, provide guidance!" Ning Fengzhi took a deep breath and cupped his hands solemnly. While he brought Ning Rongrong here with the intent to recruit him, if the hidden dangers in his daughter's cultivation could truly be resolved, or if the possibility of martial soul evolution could be glimpsed, the value would be immeasurable.

Ning Rongrong also put away her bit of defiance. Though she still felt embarrassed, her curiosity and desire for power overrode her emotions. She bit her lip and looked at Mo Bai: "Then... what should I do?"

Mo Bai looked at Ning Rongrong and said flatly: "It's simple. Forget everything you learned before. Start from the most basic physical and soul power control. Your body is too weak to carry truly powerful support soul power. Your mental strength is too scattered to perform fine manipulation."

He pointed to one side of the training ground: "There are basic training facilities there. Your task for today: without using soul power, run a hundred laps around the training ground. Then, use soul power to control this bucket of water, dividing it into a hundred perfectly uniform water droplets and keeping them suspended for the duration of one incense stick. The size error of the droplets cannot exceed one percent. If you can't do it, there's no dinner."

Ning Rongrong looked at the massive training ground; one lap was at least five hundred meters! A hundred laps? Without using soul power? And then dividing water droplets with soul power and keeping them uniformly suspended? This... this was simply torture! She was the little princess of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect!

"I..." She was about to protest when she saw Mo Bai's calm, waveless eyes. There was no coercion in that gaze, only a detached statement of fact. She suddenly remembered Xiao Wu and the others from last night, their strength far exceeding their rank, and their absolute obedience in front of Mo Bai...

A strange pique rose within her. Was she, Ning Rongrong, worse than them? It was just training, wasn't it? She would do it!

"Fine! I'll do it!" Ning Rongrong bit her lip, turned around, and ran toward the training track.

Ning Fengzhi opened his mouth to say something but held back upon seeing Mo Bai's indifferent expression. He knew this was Mo Bai's teaching method; though harsh, it was perhaps exactly what Rongrong needed.

Gu Rong frowned and whispered: "Sect Master, isn't this training volume too much for a support soul master? Rongrong, she..."

"Uncle Bone, trust the Lord Soulforger." Ning Fengzhi waved his hand, his eyes fixed on his daughter who had started running, then looked at Mo Bai. "Lord, I leave Rongrong in your hands. Fengzhi has matters to attend to; I will return to pick her up later."

"As you wish." Mo Bai nodded.

Ning Fengzhi and Gu Rong left. On the training ground, only the gasping and sweating Ning Rongrong remained, along with Mo Bai, who stood as still as a statue by the side of the field.

A hundred laps were hell for the pampered Ning Rongrong. By the thirtieth lap, her legs felt like lead and her lungs felt like they were on fire. By the fiftieth, she felt blackness before her eyes, nearly fainting. But she gritted her teeth, remembering her father's expectant gaze, Mo Bai's flat but stinging evaluation, and Xiao Wu and the others... she couldn't lose!

When she finally stumbled through the hundredth lap, collapsing directly onto the grass without even the strength to move a finger, Mo Bai's voice rang out: "Rest for fifteen minutes. Then, begin the soul power control training."

Ning Rongrong didn't even have the strength to complain. She forced herself up, cross-legged to regulate her breathing, feeling that her soul power had actually become more active due to extreme fatigue, though it remained cluttered and stagnant.

Fifteen minutes later, she walked to the bucket of water with a pale face, attempting to envelop the water with soul power to divide it. However, the soul power she usually felt was as easy to use as her own limbs now felt sluggish and disobedient. The water droplets were either uneven in size, fell directly, or merged together.

Mo Bai just stood by watching, neither guiding nor rushing her. Only when Ning Rongrong lost control of her soul power due to impatience and water splashed everywhere would he say flatly: "You are restless. Again."
