Chapter 44 - The Sorcerer Supreme

Thor and the others immediately stopped in their tracks, entirely unwilling to step any closer to the apocalyptic trench.

Sif, staring at the white-haired boy hovering in the distance, murmured under her breath, "What a terrifyingly dangerous man."

The rest of the Asgardians and mortals nodded in profound, absolute agreement.

Seeing Thor's group approaching the edge of the crater, Su Mu lowered himself back to the ground.

Thor stepped forward, his expression solemn. "I must leave now. There are pressing matters in Asgard that require my immediate attention."

Su Mu nodded, offering a brilliant, knowing smile.

"Make sure you thank Loki for me! And tell him to hurry up and deliver my package to Earth!"

Su Mu naturally knew exactly what awaited Thor upon his return: the Frost Giant invasion, and Thor's subsequent decision to personally shatter the Bifrost to prevent Loki from committing planetary genocide. This would ultimately strand Thor in Asgard, unable to return to Earth for the foreseeable future.

However, it also meant Loki was about to fall into the cosmic abyss, where he would encounter Thanos. He would be gifted the Mind Stone scepter and sent back to Earth to utilize the Tesseract and open the portal for the Chitauri invasion.

And that Scepter... was the ultimate "takeout delivery" Su Mu had been eagerly anticipating!

Although Thor had absolutely no idea what Su Mu meant by a "package," he still nodded earnestly. "I will relay your words!"

Thor then turned to say a heartfelt goodbye to Jane Foster, promising her that he would find a way to return. Finally, standing amidst his loyal friends, Thor raised his head to the sky. The blinding, multi-colored pillar of the Bifrost crashed down, pulling them all away into the cosmos.

Once the rainbow light completely faded, Su Mu turned to Jane Foster.

"Don't forget to look for me when you get sick~" he teased with a wink.

With that, he took a single spatial step and vanished from their sight.

It was time to track down Tony Stark, acquire some fresh Arc Reactors, and figure out an appropriate "return gift" for the military.

The military had generously gifted him a beautiful nuclear mushroom cloud. It was only polite that he reciprocate with a little "peace" of his own, right?

...

Leaving New Mexico, Su Mu began chain-casting teleportation across the country, rocketing toward Tony Stark's cliffside mansion in Malibu.

With Level 4 Energy Absorption constantly refueling his cursed energy, he could now spam Blue's spatial compression to teleport continuously without any fear of energy depletion.

Furthermore, with the Reverse Cursed Technique at Level 2, the automated healing factor was potent enough to instantly repair the microscopic cellular tearing caused by extreme acceleration. It was also seamlessly repairing the constant, low-level brain damage caused by keeping the Six Eyes and the Limitless active 24/7.

Speaking of the Limitless, reaching Level 3 had fundamentally altered its functionality. The technique was now capable of basic automated threat assessment! It automatically filtered out harmless objects (like air, light, and sound) while instantaneously blocking anything identified as a threat (like bullets, lasers, or spatial anomalies) at an absolute fifty-centimeter perimeter!

...

Evening fell. The cliffside mansion in Malibu was brilliantly illuminated.

The party hosted by the world's richest playboy, Tony Stark, was an extravagant, unapologetically hedonistic affair. Dozens of gorgeous women, wearing practically nothing, danced and mingled, desperately trying to catch the attention of the man of the hour.

With the flashing lights, top-tier liquor, and stunning models, the entire mansion radiated an intoxicating, testosterone-fueled energy. It was, without a doubt, a bachelor's absolute paradise!

In the center of the dance floor, Tony Stark was visibly, heavily intoxicated. He had just literally peed inside the billion-dollar Mark IV armor and had a bitter, public argument with Pepper Potts. Currently, he was entertaining the crowd by using the armor's repulsors to blast watermelons and champagne bottles out of the air.

Just as the party reached a fever pitch, a booming, furious voice shattered the atmosphere.

Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes, wearing the silver Mark II armor, strode onto the balcony and shouted over the music.

"I'm only going to say this once! Everyone... GET OUT!"

The music scratched to a halt. The party instantly fell dead silent. The lively, electric atmosphere vanished as everyone turned to look at the heavily armed, extremely pissed-off military officer.

Just as Rhodey expected the crowd to scatter in panic, he noticed something bizarre.

The people closest to him were looking at him with absolute, paralyzing terror—as if they were staring directly at the Grim Reaper himself. But... why? He was just yelling; he wasn't going to actually shoot anyone!

Then, Rhodey realized their terrified gazes weren't locked onto him. They were staring behind him!

Their uncontrollable trembling and pale faces were entirely directed at whatever was standing at his back!

A jolt of adrenaline shot through Rhodey. He instantly realized something was terribly wrong, but before he could even turn his head, a slender, distinctly human hand clamped down firmly on his armored shoulder.

The sheer, incomprehensible kinetic pressure behind that single hand was apocalyptic. Even encased in titanium-alloy power armor, Rhodey was violently forced down to one knee, completely unable to resist the crushing weight!

The solid concrete floor beneath his knee spider-webbed, visibly fracturing under the localized pressure!

Only then did the chilling, demonic whisper drift into his ear.

"Now, Colonel Rhodes... why would we end the party so soon? You wouldn't want to make me angry, would you?"

Rhodey's entire body went rigid. His mechanical neck joint whirred as he slowly, mechanically turned his head.

There, standing behind him, was a strikingly handsome young man with stark white hair and crystalline blue eyes. The man was smiling at him—a brilliant, charming smile that radiated pure, concentrated, apocalyptic malice!

Every survival instinct in Rhodey's military-trained brain violently overrode his pride.

"Y-You know what? I think the party should definitely continue!" Rhodey stammered instantly.

The White Demon offered a deeply satisfied smile. He released Rhodey's shoulder and strolled past the kneeling Colonel, walking straight up to Tony Stark.

Su Mu turned to the terrified, scantily clad women and shouted cheerfully, "Don't stop now! Keep the music playing and the drinks flowing!"

Already heavily intoxicated, the models quickly pushed past their initial terror and enthusiastically resumed their cheering.

The lights flashed, the bass dropped, and the screams of excitement reached new heights. In addition to Tony's repulsor blasts, the party now featured an occasional, terrifyingly beautiful azure black hole or a localized black-red singularity popping champagne bottles!

Naturally, Su Mu kept the cursed techniques under absolute micro-control, ensuring they didn't cause a single point of structural damage to the mansion.

It was, without a doubt, an absolutely wonderful night!

...

When Su Mu finally woke up, it was already mid-morning. He dressed himself, carefully stepping over the dozen or so naked, exhausted models sprawled across the massive bed and the floor, and strolled out into the mansion's living room.

Entertaining a dozen hyper-enthusiastic women simultaneously... even with the Reverse Cursed Technique, that's a serious cardio workout, Su Mu thought, stretching his back.

Entering the living room, he found Tony already waiting. Tony was staring intensely at a series of holographic projections hovering above his coffee table.

The projections displayed highly classified military satellite footage: the apocalyptic nuclear detonation in New Mexico, and the white-haired man casually strolling out of the inferno!

Hearing footsteps, Tony violently spun around. He stared at the yawning white-haired boy, his eyes wide with absolute, existential shock!

Seeing Tony's expression, Su Mu chuckled playfully.

"What's wrong? Don't look at me like that, Tony. I'm strictly into women."

But Tony wasn't in the mood for jokes. He looked at Su Mu as if he were staring at an alien. He finally forced out the question that had been keeping him awake.

"Did you... did you seriously take a direct hit from a tactical nuclear warhead... and walk out completely unharmed?!"

Su Mu glanced at the hologram and flashed a brilliant smile.

"Of course. It was pretty easy, actually."

"Easy?!" Tony yelled, his scientific worldview completely collapsing. "How the hell do you just shrug off a nuke?!"

"Tony, there's really no need to be so dramatic," Su Mu said lazily, dropping onto the couch. "Aside from me, there are others on Earth who could do the exact same thing. The Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj, for example."

"The Sorcerer Supreme? Who the hell is that?!"

Just as Tony was about to interrogate Su Mu further, the empty space in the center of the living room suddenly sparked!

A localized shower of golden sparks rapidly spun into a fiery, circular portal. A moment later, a serene, bald woman in yellow robes calmly stepped through the gateway...
