Julius did not care about the smoke or the ash falling around them. He remained on his knees in the dirt, his arms wrapped tightly around Harrison's upper body as he pulled Harrison against his chest. He cradled Harrison close, rocking him back and forth in the middle of the ruined clearing while tears streamed down his cheeks.
"Harrison, please, you can't do this to me," Julius sobbed, his voice breaking into a desperate, raw cry as he rocked the limp frame. He pressed his palms flat against Harrison's back, trying to block the blood from pouring out, but it kept staining his fingers and clothes. "Open your eyes, baby. Please. Daniel! Marcus! Someone help me! He is bleeding so bad! Please, somebody help him!"
