"So when will Daniel be here?" Sheen asked already impatient.
"In three two and ..." Tiw stated then looked at Nice before the door was knocked. Then the door knob turned as Daniel walked in.
"Okay so the plan..." Bison stated as he looked at them alert.
"Daniel will give us the plan." Nice stated as he turned to him.
"The plan which is..."
"I'm sure it's not the first time your Dad has tried initiating you into the black spirit cult so we want to know the procedure." Nice stated with top notch authority as usual.
"Okay but how sure he doesn't know what is happening now."
"Because we are all here." A voice came. It was Nick.
"We were not only selected at the Ten for the Madrigal empire but as the spirit mascot. You'll understand the rest on deday." Tay stated as Daniel begun illustration. Seconds later the world around Nice vanished to a black world. To the others he has fainted.
"What should we do?" Joseph did random calculations and found it. It was the fifth night.
"We need anything that belongs to Dylan." Joseph stated. Though he had mild knowledge on spirit levels, love and it's bonds was something well known to him.
"Why Dylan?" Tiw protested.
"He fainted damn you he isn't asleep." Sheen responded as Tay rushed out. The others watvhed silently. It was t something new. At times the dark side could be stronger.
"You think you can remove me from your head?"
"No. But he can." Nice responded as his spirit begun forming a body.
"What debt didn't you pay?" Nice asked in a harsh tone.
"Damn that boy." He responded as he struggled to get back to his spirit form.
"Don't worry uncle-in-law. We are no longer kids. We are ready for you and I'm ready to protect him." He responded.
Once some short touched him he was back.
"Does that happen often?" Daniel asked .
"Yes. It's normal." Tiw responded as he pulled the cloth from him.
"How did you get that?" Nice asked before he could talk of the incoming danger.
"I took it from Dylan." Tay stated casually.
"It's his favourite return it if he'll be here looking for me." Nice responded.
"Why are you keeping it from him?" Tiw asked. This was already fishy as it was.
Sheen stood up with the cloth and returned it.
"Your dad was kinda cursing you." Nice stated once the room calmed down.
"Obvious. I'm of age."
"Of age to..."
"It's some kind of black spirit thing that if the son of the family turns eighteen they are to be initiated or the black gods go crazy." This was more than what he had learnt for all his years as a spirit guardian.
"Why don't you want the power?" Sheen asked.
"I've seen people fighting for power since I was a kid. I have seen power kill people. I just want honest love and an honest life." He responded calmly.
"Okay so here." Nice stated as he handed him his Madrigal band.
"Why give me this?"
"If you touch it a signal is shown depending on how hard you touch it. If you need help or if you hear your dad stated something on the thing then we'll all be ready to help." Tay explained.
"Thanks." He responded and walked out.
"Something in your head Nick?" Tiw asked. They wanted to know on everyone's warebouts.
"Nothing much. It's tough here guys."
"More of fighting or..."
"Probably. Tay wouldn't have survived." He responded then laughed.
The others teased the little boy. Nice smiled looking at them. He loved it when they were together like this.
"We miss you Nick." Joseph stated as they continued making fun. Nice walked out to the balcony and picked his phone. He called him.
"Finally a call from my favourite son." A voice came. It was William.
"Hey dad."
"How is everything?"
"Fine. I kind of fell in love again."
"The golden spirit?"
"Joseph told you."
"Maybe. You are calling this late aren't you going to sleep?"
"Yes. The others are talking to Nick. It's like some get together."
"Ookay. Calling this late miss people would get angry."
" I kinda miss her nagging."
"I got used to it. We fall in love in a daily."
"Like the insane deal I made?"
"With..."
"My mom."
"She came again?"
"Yeah. I also found the main spirit."
"Finding the main spirit did you do something naughty?"
"Abit."
"It's rare to eliminate the main one. Maybe locking it up."
"I'll try my best before my other half affects him."
"So you saw him."
"The main god? Yeah."
"You are one of a kind kid. You have lived on your own but fought battles elders couldn't manage." William stated happily.
"But you guys gave me the power."
"Now Madrigal gives you the power." He responded.
"I kinda used him as a test against Tiw."
"The same one?"
"Yes."
"Aren't you afraid?"
"He is different. And I know he is the one."
"Such confidence."
"Joseph said the same thing." He responded with a laugh.
"Goodnight my boy."
"Goodnight. Greet our wife for me." He stated as he hung up. The balcony was small. He looked out at the environment. Everything was silent. The fresh air was breath taking. He smiled a bit then turned to his phone. It was nearly midnight. He knew Dylan was asleep by now. He then walked out of the room. He hadn't returned the keycards hence he walked there and opened the room. Dylan was sound asleep on the bed that used to be his. He walked to him and stroked his black hair.
"Did you just have to break his heart?" Madrigal asked after he saw the boy's gentle motion.
"I had to protect him. If they know he's my weak spot then he might even be killed."
"But he's a golden spirit not grey like Tiw."
"You overheard me conversation." He responded looking at him.
"Maybe but..."
" I do my best to keep the people I love safe. Once they decline on my help I leave but I already bonded with him. I can't leave."
"I hope I can trust you." He responded.
"Thanks." He stated and walked out. Looked at him for the last time then closed the door.
