"Delicious," Kai said as he ate the solid spore and reached for Anna.
Anna immediately threw her pillow at him. "Stop it. I'm saving those."
Ray set down the watering can and helped her get out of bed. Her clothes and even the bed was soaked. But in mere seconds, servants appeared and changed the sheets.
"What's going on?" Ray asked, watching her closely. He turned and glanced at the massive jars.
Anna shook her head. "It's nothing serious. If I don't hide my nature, people will soon know I'm the princess."
Kai's expression turned serious as he walked over and stood by her side. "You're going with Nelia?"
She nodded, her gaze traveling between the men. "And I'll handle some of it myself too. It's too risky,"
"Not exactly," Ray said. He folded his arms, tapping his chin as if deep in thought. "You're respected here. Extremely so, and loved too."
"He's right," Kai added. "You're famous here, cutie. Perhaps the people will be more forgiving than you think."
