The Division building at seven in the morning looks entirely different from how it looks at any other hour.
The lobby is quieter, the fluorescent lights not yet competing with the daylight coming through the upper windows, most of the desks still empty. The receptionist on the early shift is not Sukyung — it's a woman Yeon Yujun doesn't recognize who nods at him when he signs in and goes back to her monitor without further comment.
Pouch is in his jacket pocket, still half-asleep, one small fluffy arm dangling out through the gap.
He finds Seo Hwigeon in the corridor outside Dr. Dahlia's office, leaning against the wall with a paper cup of something, mask in place, looking like someone who has been awake for longer than the hour suggests.
"You came," Seo Hwigeon said.
"You told me to." Yeon Yujun stopped beside him. "What did you want to tell me before I go in there?"
