Chapter 15 - Chapter 13: Skippinng grade Exam

"I accept your challenge. If I fail to achieve what I had said, I also promise to apologize and take back my request."

Sarina said, raising the stakes for herself as well.

"Great then, principal ma'am you will be judge for us in it." Miss Shelly said.

"Ok then, teachers bring in the test papers you want Sarina to take."

Well aware that no one can now stop Sarina from doing this, the principal instructed.

And just like that, the entire floor broke into utter chaos as the teachers rushed out here and there with only one thought in their mind,

'Are we really going to witness a miracle today?'

Under the discerning, judgmental and worried yet hopeful eyes of the principal, Ms Shelly and her parents, Sarina was also guided to another room by one of the teachers.

Entering inside, one glance was all it took for Sarina to locate and identify the purpose of the room. And sure enough, the teacher's next words confirmed her guess.

"Sarina, this is the detention room. It is used mostly for the students who break the school's rules and regulation. You can sit on the front seat."

The teacher said while pointed at the seat placed in the center.

Nodding, Sarina calmly sat down, trying her best not to look in the direction of the poorly hidden camera through which everyone was probably watching her from.

'How can they put the hidden camera at such an obvious place? Oh well, it's not like the students here can actually locate it. Afterall, not everyone like me can locate it.'

Sarina thought as she patiently waited for the test to start.

She was hundred percent sure that she was probably been live casted in the principal's office at the moment.

Not that she had a problem with it anyways. In fact, to some extent, she even appreciated it as it meant that her parents were also watching her.

Watching her ace this exam with their own eyes will definitely strengthen their trust in her; something she needed a lot at the moment.

After all, she still had to convince her parents for the resort project.

The wait didn't extend for long as four teachers entered inside, each carrying the exam a stack of papers as the put it down on the table.

"Sarina, to skip each grade, you have to score more than 90 in all the 9 subjects. Only then will it be considered as cleared. Are you ready?"

The leading teacher patiently asked after explaining everything in detail to which Sarina collectedly nodded.

"Great then, let's begin with grade 5." The teacher before signaling her colleague beside her pass the first exam paper to Sarina.

Receiving it, Sarina gave it just one glance before picking up her pen and composedly wrote her name on it.

...

The next few hours passed by in the blur for Sarina as she efficiently solved all the exam papers one by one without any break.

Even the teachers were shocked by the speed Sarina was solving the papers. After all, no one better them knew the difficulty level of them.

Initially they were even prepared to take these exams in four parts, planning to continue it with one grade a day but it seemed they had really underestimated Sarina.

The exams any normal student would have taken at least one hour to complete even one of them, and here, Sarina was actually taking only one third of that time to complete it.

They have never seen anything like this before, feeling totally numb to this by now. It was completely beyond of their wildest dreams.

When Sarina had finished writing her first paper and handed it in just 20 minutes, they had even wondered if she had been bluffing all along but when they marked it, they were absolutely astonished.

She actually scored full marks in fifth grade biology, which, in no manner was an easy foot to achieve.

And their shock didn't just stop there.

Sarina continued to maintain the same speed for all the remaining papers as well, only taking a 15 minutes break in between for a quick lunch along with the teachers before she continued on with her exams.

No matter how hard the teachers tried to persuade her, Sarina replied with only one answer,

"I can do this."

Gazing at the determined expression on her face, the teachers glanced at each other and sighed in admiration as one of the teachers continued to inform the principal with the results.

While Sarina wasn't continuously pushing herself to her very limit here, on the other side, Clara and Adrian were also looking worriedly at their precious daughter through the computer at the principal's office.

Initially, they were very concerned and even a little apprehensive if Sarina would truly be able to achieve her goal but looking at how she had been holding herself in the examination hall, all those thoughts vanished into thin air, leaving behind nothing but a sense of pride for them.

Especially with the amazed expression on principal's face as she looked at the results on her phone, they could feel their hearts swelled with immense pride and joy.

Ms Shelly of course also saw the messages on the principal's phone and was utterly dumbfounded. All her earlier arrogance was gone as she speechlessly looked at Sarina through the screen.

She may be haughty, but she definitely wasn't stupid. Even though the final result hadn't been announced and it still wasn't confirmed if Sarina could actually skip four grades together.

But this still couldn't hide the fact that from all the papers Sarina had handed in, she had already skipped three grades till now and most probably will definitely be able to skip the fourth as well.

Gazing intently as Sarina handed in her last exam paper for the day, Ms Shelly sighed in amazement.

She had never in imagined in her wildest dream that she would actually meet an actual genius in a third-tier city like this.

'It seemed dad actually wasn't lying when he said I shouldn't look down on people from small cities. They really can give many pleasant surprises.'

Ms Shelly thought as recalled her father's words. She finally understood why her father wanted to send her away.

The bright lights and shine of the cities and high society had made her turn a blind eye to the real struggles and value of people.

She seemed to have forgotten what it meant by being connected to the roots and being humble to everyone. She had learned this lesson in the hard way.

Ms Shelly didn't even mind that anyways. Today, she was finally able to accept the defeat she hadn't experienced in a very long time.

As everyone was still trying to digest the sudden turn of events, Adrian glanced at the time and excused himself for a moment and left the office.

A few minutes later, Adrian returned back with the twins, Leo and Mila, who just finished their last class for the day, to the office.

Clara, being the attentive mother is was quickly passed them the packed lunch prepared for them.

"Here. Have your lunch. We will leave together in a while after your elder sister is done with her exams."

Since the twins already knew about their sister's plans, they quietly took a seat on the couch at the side, waiting patiently for Sarina to get done with her exams.

And just like that, time passed by as some patiently while the others impatiently waited as Sarina finally handed in her last exam paper for the day.

Stretching her aching arms out, Sarina sighed in relief as she patiently waited for the teacher in front of her to mark the last paper before they all returned back to the principal's office, still processing the shock they just experienced.

As soon as Sarina took a step inside, Adrian and Clara hurriedly ran towards her, clearly anxious to know how the exams went but the words that left their mouth were the complete opposite.

"You must be very tired dear. Come, sit down and drink some water first." Clara sincerely said as she looked heartbrokenly at her worn out daughter.

Not being left behind, Adrian also uncapped the bottle he had been holding before passing it to Sarina, his heart aching terribly at the exhausted face of his daughter.

The twins also worriedly rushed forward, visibly concerned for their elder sister.

The family of four were completely absorbed in their fantic worries about Sarina, completely ignoring everyone else in the office as they fretfully hovered over Sarina.

Thankfully Sarina was still in her senses and patiently reminded her parents about the more important thing on which they should focus on at the moment.

"Relax guys, I am fine. Besides, don't you think we should be focusing on the results for now. The principal and teachers are waiting."

"Oh Yeah! That completely slipped out of my mind. What are the results principal ma'am? Did Sarina pass the exam?"

As soon as Saina's words registered in her mind, Clara clumsily muttered before nervously asking the principal about the results.

Even Adriana and the twins also become very looked up at the principal concernedly as they waited for the principal to announce the results.

The principal and the teachers' lips twitched in amusement as they glanced between the similar expression on their faces and then at the calm expression on Sarina's face.

Sarina's calm and steady face clearly indicated that she was very confident in her abilities but the other four obviously didn't notice that.

To them, until and unless they heard it themselves from the principal, they won't be able to feel relieved.

Looking at the visibly anxious and nervous faces of the family in front of her, the principal also didn't waste any further time and announced the results.

"Mr and Mrs Rowan, Sarina has....
