Keifer's Pov
I came back early just like she asked too, When I went inside I was surprised to see her dressed up and ready,
She looked absolutely breath taking and I think everything paused for a minute, I actually forgot what I was doing and just starred at her,
Then I realised what she was trying to do,
She was trying to get me go to the Gala,
I walked away from there but her words stopped, when she started
And I broke down When she said,
Jay: " Face him Keif, don't give him the satisfaction that he has won and still have the power to affect you."
His eyes turned sad,
Keifer: "But that's the truth Jay, I can't." I said with my voice breaking,
I couldn't handle it anymore, I hugged her immediately and she held me, I was breaking down thinking about everything that has happened to my mom and how I couldn't save her or do anything.
Jay held me tightly and started consoling, That was what I needed, just to be in her arms and maybe just maybe pretend everything is fine.
But it wasn't but that's what I told myself,
Atleast I have Jay as my friend now, I didn't want to ever lose that, because that's the only thing that I value in my life right now.
Both of us were sitting on the floor, in eachother's embrace, while Jay is still calming me down, I just wanted to stay like this in her arms and looking into her eyes, without worrying about anything.
I slowly pulled and looked at her,
She lifted her hands and gently wiped my tears and that's when I noticed she was crying too,
So I wiped hers,
Jay: "It's okay if you didn't want to face, I think it's fine, I maybe might have pushed you too hard, I am sorry."
I nodded a no,
Keifer: "No, Jay, You wanted me to face my fears, so that I will get over, but I was too coward."
Jay: "Keifer, No it's fine, you don't have to do that."
Keifer: "But I think, I have too, but."
Then she looked at me,
Keifer: "Will you be there with me throughout?" I tried mask my vulnerablilty
But failed.
She nodded with a smile and tears in her eyes and hugged me tightly.
Keifer: "Shall we?"
Jay: "Yes." She said and took the tux and handed it to me,
I took it from her and went to change, I came back to her and she was sitting and she looked up and I think she is amused,
Keifer: "I know I look Hot, you can stop starring."
Jay: "Whatever."
Keifer: "Just admit it."
I said leaning closer to her, she gets flustered a little when I do that,
She starts blinking and move a little,
Jay: "Fine you look good." She says looking anywhere else but me.
Jay: "Come let's go" she says moving
And I chuckle and follow her,
And I drove to the place and we are standing at the entrance, but I was hesitating to enter,
Then I felt Jay's hands looping over mine,
I looked at her,
Jay: "Relax, I am going to be with you."
I nodded and gave her a smile,
Then both of entered the venue, where red carpet was rolled and welcomed by the massive crystal chandelier, filled with people who we can tell by their looks itself, That they are top tier billionaires.
I looked at Jay she seemed nervous too, but I know she will not say it because she was staying strong for me, and she didn't want to focus on her but to be just there for me.
And tell how can I know not fall in love with girl, I think I just fell in love with her again.
So I just pressed her hands to reassure her, and I can feel her getting her relaxed.
Jay's Pov
I was feeling nervous to enter this gala because I sense these people are huge business tycoons, but I make myself calm because I know Keifer will be side through out it, and also the main thing is I have to be there for him, That's why I am here.
then soft music started playing and everyone started going in middle with their partner to dance and I was looking around when,
Keifer placed his hand in front of me, inviting me for a dance,
I looked at him and he was looking at me with a smile,
Keifer: "I think its time for the dance"
I smiled at him as he said that and I was about to place my hand on his,
but before that someone else did, I furred my eyebrows together and looked at her she was gorgeous and then I looked at Keifer, he looked surprised and was having a smile,
Keifer: "Oh my God Liv, what are you doing here? "
Liv: "Well, couldn't miss the annual Watson Gala "
and he was still holding her hand and both of them were talking like I didn't exist and it pissed me off,
and then she went in for a hug, while I was still standing there, still ignored,
then she turned to look at me,
Liv: "I am sorry I am going to borrow Keifer for a while"
and took Keifer away to the dance floor,
While I just stood and Keifer gave me a pleasing look before he turned to her again.
