Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 – The Memory Inside Ravenclaw’s Crown

Maybe this crown really could provide useful clues.

And besides…

He was only going to look at it briefly.

Even if something terrible happened, it would clearly be the spellbook system's fault and not his.

Absolutely not his.

And realistically speaking, even if touching the crown somehow caused instant death, the person suffering the real headache afterward would probably be Voldemort.

After all, it was his soul fragment trapped inside the thing.

Logan had no intention of wasting sympathy on a noseless dark wizard.

With his thoughts perfectly rationalised, Logan immediately decided to inspect Ravenclaw's lost diadem properly.

The Room of Requirement responded almost instantly to his intentions.

The moment Logan focused on finding Ravenclaw's crown, the room itself shifted subtly. Near one wall, a mountain of clutter suddenly materialised from nowhere.

Broken cabinets.

Ancient bookshelves.

Damaged magical artifacts.

Piles of forgotten junk.

Logan narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.

The diadem was probably hidden somewhere inside.

Several minutes later, after digging through layers of debris, Logan finally uncovered a strange metallic object shaped like an eagle.

Dark golden wings curved elegantly around a black gemstone set in the centre—a gem roughly the size of a pigeon egg.

The moment Logan saw it clearly, he instinctively blurted:

"Bloody hell."

Forget Horcruxes.

This thing looked expensive enough to solve financial problems permanently.

If he sold it somewhere discreetly, he probably wouldn't need to worry about money ever again.

While Logan wrestled against the evil desires awakening in his heart, the spellbook system suddenly activated.

Special magical artifact detected.

Analysing…

Analysis complete.

Ravenclaw's Diadem.

Material composition: Unknown.

Origin: Unknown.

Original magical effect: Corrupted and inactive.

Foreign evil spirit detected inside artifact.

Logan immediately understood.

The "evil spirit" was obviously Voldemort's soul fragment.

Still…

The system's wording caught his attention.

Original magical effect inactive.

Did that mean the diadem no longer granted enhanced intelligence because it had become a Horcrux?

Or had the corruption destroyed its original magic entirely?

Unfortunately, there was no obvious way to verify the answer.

Logan continued holding the crown thoughtfully.

Since the diadem no longer seemed useful and the mission hadn't reacted at all, he was just about to toss it back into the pile—

When another notification suddenly appeared.

Core memory fragment detected.

Further analysis in progress…

Logan froze.

A memory fragment?

Inside the diadem?

Surely Voldemort hadn't stuffed random memories into his Horcrux too.

Even for him, that seemed unnecessarily insane.

No…

Thinking carefully, Logan quickly realised the memory fragment probably predated Voldemort entirely.

Which meant—

It likely belonged to Rowena Ravenclaw herself.

Now that was interesting.

Without the spellbook system, this secret probably would have remained hidden forever.

Several minutes passed before the system finally completed analysis.

Analysis successful.

Extraction successful.

Memory Fragment ×1

Status: Accessible.

Logan hesitated briefly.

Then curiosity won completely.

Without further delay, he activated the extracted memory fragment.

Instantly, the space inside the Room of Requirement twisted violently around him.

The world distorted.

His vision shattered into darkness.

And then—

Logan vanished completely.

.....

Weightlessness consumed him.

It felt as though he had fallen into an endless void drifting through the stars themselves.

Time lost all meaning.

Then suddenly—

Light exploded around him.

Logan opened his eyes.

The first thing he felt was heat.

Bright sunlight poured through the forest canopy overhead while warm wind brushed against his face.

He stood inside an unfamiliar forest beneath a blazing summer sky.

"Where am I?" Logan muttered quietly.

Before he could investigate further, an irritated female voice suddenly sounded behind him.

"For Merlin's sake, Salazar, hurry up already!"

Logan turned instantly.

A beautiful blonde witch marched through the forest with obvious frustration on her face.

Beside her walked a pale, elegant man whose handsome features carried an almost serpentine sharpness.

"Stop wasting time on those strange little experiments of yours," the witch complained. "The others already agreed. We're building the school."

The school?

Logan's eyes widened slightly.

The witch continued speaking rapidly.

"It'll become a sanctuary for future generations of magical children. This is important."

The man beside her sighed dramatically.

"Rowena," he replied dryly, "don't you think this entire situation is slightly ridiculous?"

His tone dripped with elegant sarcasm.

"I agree founding a magical school together is an extraordinary idea."

Then he glanced sideways at her.

"But choosing the location based on a dream involving a pig is objectively insane."

He folded his arms calmly.

"And somehow this absurd logic came from the woman constantly boasting about her unmatched intelligence."

Salazar Slytherin openly mocked Rowena Ravenclaw without mercy.

Rowena immediately exploded.

"You arrogant snake!"

And thus, one of the greatest intellectual arguments in wizarding history instantly devolved into something resembling two middle-aged neighbours fighting over vegetables at a market.

Logan watched in complete disbelief.

These people were legendary founders of Hogwarts.

Future historical icons.

And yet somehow they behaved like this.

To be fair, Rowena absolutely dominated the argument.

Salazar possessed the same cold, venomous personality Snape would later perfect centuries afterward, but against Rowena's verbal assaults, he clearly stood no chance.

Within minutes, Salazar was already losing badly.

Eventually, Rowena proudly declared that both the school's location and name would absolutely remain exactly as she envisioned from her "prophetic pig dream."

Apparently, Godric Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff had already agreed with her earlier.

Realising resistance was futile, Salazar finally gave up arguing altogether.

Still…

Logan gradually noticed something strange.

Whenever Salazar lost an argument, he didn't actually seem upset.

Instead, Logan kept catching faint amusement hidden at the corners of the man's mouth.

The more Logan watched them, the more he sensed something deeply suspicious.

A horrible realisation slowly dawned on him.

This atmosphere…

This unbearable tension…

This disgusting romantic chemistry…

It felt exactly like some painfully melodramatic teenage romance drama.

Logan suddenly regretted activating the memory fragment.

Moments later, the two founders walked directly past him.

Or rather—

Through him.

Their bodies phased harmlessly through Logan without reaction.

Ah.

So he truly existed only as an observer inside the memory.

Honestly, that was probably for the best.

If the Hogwarts founders could actually see him, Logan strongly suspected he would die instantly after failing to explain himself properly.

Quietly, he followed behind them through the forest.

Eventually, the trees opened into a clearing containing a worn wooden house.

Creeeak.

The front door slowly opened.

Two figures stepped outside.

One man.

One woman.

And the moment Logan saw them, recognition hit immediately.

Godric Gryffindor.

Helga Hufflepuff.

The legendary four founders of Hogwarts had finally gathered together.
