"Hahaha! Diderot, you got completely humiliated!"
The surrounding prefects burst into laughter.
After all, none of them were the ones being challenged.
Why would they care?
"Shut up!"
Diderot Agnesley's face flushed crimson with fury as he strode forward aggressively.
"Argus, is this your idea of courage?"
"You arrogant little brat."
His eyes narrowed viciously.
"Today I'll teach you how to respect your seniors."
Argus calmly examined him.
The Agnesley family.
One of the Sacred Twenty-Eight.
A staunch Voldemort loyalist.
Several family members were still rotting away in Azkaban.
In Lucien's future plans—
Families like this would eventually be erased completely.
A cold gleam flashed through his blue eyes.
"Both participants ready."
Emery Carrow raised his wand.
"The duel begins!"
Before the final syllable fully faded—
Lucien had already moved.
"Stupefy!"
A crimson bolt exploded forward instantly.
Diderot's pupils shrank violently.
Far too fast!
"Petrificus Totalus!"
He barely managed to cast a counterspell.
Too late.
Bang!
The Stunning Spell slammed into his chest like a cannonball.
Diderot flew backward through the air directly toward Snape.
Gasps erupted throughout the common room.
Snape's expression darkened instantly.
With an irritated flick of his wand, he shoved Diderot aside before the unconscious boy could crash into him.
"Take this idiot to Madam Pomfrey immediately."
Several stunned older students hurriedly dragged Diderot out of the common room.
The remaining students stared at Lucien in complete shock.
One spell.
Again.
Klein had at least managed to react earlier.
Diderot hadn't even properly completed his spell before being obliterated.
The gap between them felt terrifying.
Meanwhile, Draco and the others nearly exploded with excitement.
"ARGUS!"
Draco looked happier than if he had personally won the duel himself.
After all—
Lower-year students defeating upper-year champions was incredibly rare within Slytherin.
Even when it happened, it usually involved fifth or sixth-years challenging slightly older students after years of magical training.
But Lucien?
He had only attended Hogwarts for a single evening.
And already crushed the second-year champion effortlessly.
Lucien merely smiled calmly.
Though inwardly—
He felt slight regret.
If this had happened anywhere outside Hogwarts…
Diderot would not have walked away alive.
Anyone capable of becoming a year champion possessed exceptional talent and work ethic.
Left unchecked, people like this inevitably became future Aurors, Ministry officials, or influential dark wizards.
Letting him go now felt dangerously close to releasing a tiger back into the mountains.
What a pity.
The system notification appeared immediately afterward.
[Congratulations to the host for defeating the Second-Year Champion.]
[Achievement Unlocked: Champion Slayer (Second Year)]
[Achievement Points Awarded: 200]
Lucien blinked slightly.
"Two hundred?"
The system responded instantly.
[Host defeated an upper-year student while at a lower grade.]
[Bonus achievement points awarded.]
[The larger the year gap, the greater the bonus reward.]
Lucien's eyes brightened immediately.
So if he defeated the seventh-year champion—
Seven hundred points.
Enough for seven consecutive draws.
His gaze toward the remaining prefects instantly became much warmer.
To Lucien—
They no longer looked like students.
They looked like walking achievement points.
"First-Year Representative Argus Grindelwald has successfully completed his challenge."
Emery Carrow's expression remained stiff.
"If there are no further—"
"Wait a moment, Prefect Carrow."
Emery's eyelid twitched.
He was clearly growing irritated at being interrupted repeatedly.
"You already completed your challenge."
"What else do you want?"
Lucien smiled politely.
"I wish to continue."
"I challenge the Third-Year Champion."
The entire common room froze.
The third-year champion nearly choked.
What did she do wrong?!
Why was this suddenly her problem?
All eyes slowly shifted toward the third-year representatives.
After several seconds, a girl finally sighed and stepped forward gracefully.
"Mr. Grindelwald…"
Her tone sounded resigned.
"Please try to behave like a gentleman toward ladies."
Alexia Slughorn.
Tall.
Beautiful.
Curvy in all the wrong ways for teenage boys trying to focus.
Her pale green hair made her particularly eye-catching among the Slytherins.
Though not from one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight families, the Slughorns still possessed enormous influence.
Immediately, cheers erupted throughout the common room.
"Go, Alexia!"
"Teach that first-year a lesson!"
"He's gotten too arrogant!"
Lucien remained expressionless.
Western students truly matured frighteningly early.
At this age, children in his previous life were still eating instant noodles outside internet cafés.
Meanwhile, Hogwarts students were already screaming support for attractive girls.
He gave a proper duelling bow.
"The second ranking duel begins."
"Argus Grindelwald versus Alexia Slughorn."
"Begin!"
Learning from Diderot's humiliation, Alexia acted immediately.
"Protego!"
A translucent shield formed around her instantly.
She no longer dared underestimate Lucien in the slightest.
Unfortunately—
Lucien's strength extended far beyond simple spellcasting speed.
"Diffindo."
His wand slashed sideways.
A nearby chair exploded apart instantly.
Wood fragments scattered everywhere.
Then Lucien's wand flicked again.
The flying fragments transformed into dozens of black ravens.
They shrieked violently as they shot toward Alexia.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
Alexia reacted quickly.
Several ravens turned to stone and shattered apart.
But at that exact moment—
Lucien's wand subtly twitched downward.
The silver buttons on Alexia's robes suddenly writhed violently.
Then transformed into venomous snakes.
"Hissssss—"
Alexia screamed instantly.
The sudden attack completely shattered her composure.
She stumbled backward in panic and crashed onto the floor.
At that moment, the snakes reverted back into ordinary buttons harmlessly.
Before she could recover—
Lucien moved.
"Incarcerous."
Ropes instantly bound her wrists together.
Lucien offered her a courteous smile.
"Miss Slughorn."
"You've been most generous."
Alexia's face flushed red with humiliation and embarrassment.
"I surrender!"
"Release me immediately!"
Once the ropes vanished, she rubbed her wrists furiously before marching directly up to Lucien.
Then poked his chest hard with one finger.
"Mr. Argus."
"You have absolutely no manners."
"I'll remember this."
With an annoyed snort, she spun around dramatically and returned toward the prefect ranks.
Silence filled the common room once more.
Then someone muttered weakly—
"Alexia lost too?"
"That has to be fake…"
"No way…"
Lucien ignored the reactions entirely.
Another system notification appeared.
[Congratulations to the host for defeating the Third-Year Champion.]
[Achievement Unlocked: Champion Slayer (Third Year)]
[Achievement Points Awarded: 300]
Lucien nearly smiled outright.
What an incredible harvest.
Today's gains alone already surpassed nearly two weeks of grinding achievements before Hogwarts.
Then—
He slowly looked toward the Fourth-Year Champion.
The older student immediately panicked internally.
Based on Lucien's expression earlier—
He clearly still hadn't used his full strength.
Emery Carrow also noticed Lucien's gaze.
Without hesitation, he turned toward the fourth-year champion.
The boy stiffened awkwardly before finally stepping forward.
"Scamander! Teach him a lesson!"
The fourth-year champion nearly exploded.
He immediately kicked the shouting student in the shin.
"Are you insane?!"
Then he hurried forward smiling brightly.
"Argus is my closest friend."
"My brother."
"How could I possibly attack him?"
Lucien blinked slowly.
Then watched in disbelief as the older boy suddenly pulled a handful of sweets from his pocket.
"Brother."
The fourth-year champion shoved the candy into Lucien's hands sincerely.
"You've fought so many duels already."
"You must be tired."
"Want some sweets to recover your energy?"
