Most could not keep up with Garros's speed and were avoided. A few were shattered by his left claw. In the next moment, he flew through the forest of ice spikes, the aura behind his wings surging to boost his speed as his dragon wings performed a great spinning slash toward the Behemoth's ankle.
Roar!
It let out a low growl. Ice armor layered upon its arms as it dropped to all fours like a giant gorilla, blocking the dragon wing guillotine with its arm.
Clang! Rip!
First came a sound like the clashing of metal, followed immediately by the sound of flesh being torn open.
The ice armor failed to completely defend against Garros's sharp wing slash, leaving a deep wound behind; however, because the Behemoth was so massive and the hardened ice armor had weakened the strike's power, the wound did not reach the bone.
Stung by the pain, the giant beast retaliated with a backhand swipe.
Ice-crystal claws grazed the dragon's back.
Bang!
One by one, the Explosive Scales absorbed the kinetic energy, shattering into thick flames that caused the Frost Behemoth's arm to tremble and its fur to fly in all directions.
Garros's body merely shuddered, and using the impact of the explosion, he swept past the Behemoth's body even faster.
Flame Claw!
Flames so condensed they were almost like liquid magma enveloped Garros's claws as he swept past the Behemoth's popliteal fossa, gouging out a chunk of flesh and tendon.
The Behemoth stumbled to its knees, and Garros took the opportunity to pounce onto the giant beast's back.
His dragon teeth clamped onto the ice-covered nape of its neck while his front claws tore through the frozen fur to reveal blue-white muscle; meanwhile, his wings continuously slashed like guillotines, launching a fierce, storm-like assault.
The Behemoth rolled in a fit of rage.
Its heavy, cold body crushed the ground, pinning the Red-Iron Dragon into the earth which was as hard as permafrost; simultaneously, it raised a pair of massive, muscular arms, fists clenched like hammers, and smashed them down toward Garros.
Thick ice crystals sprouted, covering its arms.
It was as if a glacier were pressing down.
Garros had just stood up when he looked up to see the giant fists smashing down, nearly blotting out his vision.
He gave a low growl, his wings flapping as auras of power surged, and raised his dragon claws to meet the Behemoth's heavy punches.
Boom!
The ground collapsed and shattered layer by layer.
The shockwave kicked up rainwater, spreading it into the distance like a tidal wave.
The Behemoth's terrifying strength extended through Garros's claws and into his body.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
One by one, the Explosive Scales absorbed the kinetic energy and shattered violently; using the explosive force, Garros gave his wings another powerful flap, forcibly prying open the Behemoth's clasped fists and taking to the air again, even knocking the Behemoth over and making the ground tremble.
Garros also paid a price.
The remaining Explosive Scales on his body had all shattered in the previous clash, revealing obsidian-deep, pitch-black iron-hard scales densely covered with dark red patterns.
Raindrops shattered against the dark-Red Dragon silhouette.
Before they could even slide off, they were evaporated into steam by the heat radiating from his body.
In the swirling mist, the dark-Red Dragon was faintly visible, with its swept-back, skyward-pointing horns, jagged and dense spikes, thick and sharp fangs, and a heavy, tight coat of dark-red scale armor appearing intermittently—it looked like a Red Dragon of ultimate strength clad in pitch-black heavy armor.
Seeing this scene...
The Frost Behemoth did not feel nervous; instead, it became excited.
Born as a biological weapon, the Behemoth possessed powerful combat awareness and instinct; through the previous contact and collision, it knew that Garros had mainly relied on those Explosive Scales to absorb its damage.
And now, that defensive layer of Explosive Scales was gone.
Every one of its subsequent attacks would inflict trauma upon him.
Now, the advantage is mine!
The Behemoth raised its arms and beat its chest, making a sound like war drums, and let out a roar to continue provoking the dragon.
Its roar was similar to the dragon language.
Translated, it meant:
[Lowly reptile, I can crush you to death]
To be more accurate, many syllables of the Behemoth's roar were similar to the dragon language and were full of insults toward Dragonkin; it used this primitive and simple method to draw the hatred of dragons.
However, the insulting roar lasted only half a second before it stopped.
Zzzzt!
A sharp, stirring sound of electricity reached the Frost Behemoth's ears, and it looked toward the source of the sound with doubt and vigilance.
—The dark-Red Dragon suspended in the sky.
Zzap! Zzap!
Strands of golden lightning emerged from the gaps in Garros's scales, jumping and flowing over his body before finally concentrating on his back and neck, dense and brilliant like a flying mane.
Zzap! Zzap!
Golden lightning also appeared on his wing membranes and tail, and especially on his pair of clawed arms, where dense currents of electricity surged.
Under the stimulation of this golden lightning, Garros's already strong muscles bulged once more, his body expanding by a full size, and even his dragon pupils turned a brilliant gold; his overall jagged and ferocious posture now carried a sense of divinity and majesty.
Supercharged Excited State, initiate!
All attributes surged, exploded, and skyrocketed.
Garros looked down at the Frost Behemoth and bared his teeth in a cold smile.
"Listen to the sound of death,"
he said.
The next moment, the Wings of the Heavenly Comet, with electric arcs dancing on the wing membranes, spewed out dark-red light-flames mixed with golden lightning.
In the Frost Behemoth's pupils, that dark-Red Dragon silhouette suddenly blurred.
Garros's entire dragon form turned into a bolt of lightning that tore through the curtain of rain, like a Golden Omen Star moving at extreme speed, instantly closing in on the target.
The Behemoth couldn't see clearly and only instinctively crossed its arms, its ice-crystal armor instantly thickening to five meters.
Yet this layer of defense, which should have been indestructible, shattered like thin paper the moment they made contact.
Boom!
Only now did the thunderous sound of a sonic boom finally ring out, and countless water droplets were pulverized and exploded.
Thunderous flames broke through the Behemoth's defense, and dragon claws wreathed in electric arcs and fire stabbed into the Behemoth's chest, pushing it backward step by step; Garros's body, though much smaller than the Behemoth's, erupted with a terrifying power that surpassed it.
The giant beast roared and swung its palm in a counterattack, but it only hit an afterimage.
Garros had already retreated, pulling out his blood-stained claws to avoid the strike.
His body followed the momentum into a spin, his wing blades plowing deep furrows into the Behemoth's ribs, and melted ice water mixed with blue blood sprayed out like a fountain.
In his Frenzied State, Garros soared and swept around the giant Behemoth.
His movements were agile and fast as lightning.
Lethal weapons like his claws and dragon wings tore into the Behemoth's body time and again, causing blood to pour out like a flood; the speed at which ice clusters grew to stop the bleeding could not keep up with the rate at which new wounds appeared.
The Behemoth's counterattacks missed again and again, only ever touching Garros's afterimages.
Rip!
Another claw mark appeared on its chest.
The blood-soaked Behemoth suddenly raised its head and roared, a physical ring of light bursting from its body and turning into a powerful Spell effect.
Frost Nova!
The ring of light swept through the raindrops, instantly turning them into ice, and swept over Garros, causing a layer of frost to condense on him and slowing his speed for a moment.
The giant Behemoth opened its massive hand and reached for Garros's neck.
The ice crystals on the Red-Iron Dragon had already been evaporated by the high temperature; he suddenly flipped upside down, and his dragon tail swung like a battle-axe, moving even faster to strike the Behemoth first.
The newly condensed ice armor shattered into pieces.
The Behemoth's massive body was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground and rolling over the nearby mountain forests, leaving the ground in a state of total devastation.
Garros's golden pupils, filled with lightning, narrowed slightly as he let out a low pant.
He felt exhausted.
"In this state, my Demonic Energy and physical stamina are being consumed at an extreme rate; I can't maintain it for too long."
Using the Supercharged Excited State was like an ordinary person performing anaerobic exercise; the body carried a massive burden, and the consumption was severe.
"I must end this quickly; I cannot delay."
"This Behemoth is no longer at its peak; I'll finish it with the next blow!"
Garros made a prompt decision, the golden lightning on his body growing even more intense, flying and shining in the wind and rain.
On the other side...
The Behemoth climbed up from the ground, its body covered in shocking wounds.
It saw the Red-Iron Dragon flap its wings, leaving a trail of interwoven gold and red behind as it rapidly climbed to a height of a thousand meters, then stopped, folded its wings into a cone, and dived straight down.
Garros used his finishing move.
So far, this was his most destructive and devastating attack.
The world suddenly brightened.
The last scene the Behemoth saw as it looked up was that Crimson Gold Omen Star, carrying thunder and fire, piercing through the clouds and tearing through the world.
Boom!
A large area of the rain curtain was nearly shaken into a ring-shaped vacuum zone as an inconceivable force poured into every inch of the giant beast's muscle.
Time seemed to freeze for a moment, and then the instant flow resumed, the Behemoth's body exploded; the blue blood was evaporated before it could even drip, and a thick arm was thrown out, impaling itself into the ground.
Zzap!
A dragon shadow flashed, and Garros landed steadily, standing at the edge of the deep crater.
He shook off the bits of the giant beast's flesh from his body as the heavy rain once again shrouded the scorched earth.
The golden lightning gradually dissipated; beneath the veil of wind and rain, the Red-Iron Dragon panted heavily, breathing out scorching air while drawing a large amount of air into his lungs.
After about ten seconds, his condition gradually improved, and his breathing slowly became steady.
Garros inspected himself.
The scales on his body were somewhat cracked, but other than that, there weren't many other wounds; after activating the Frenzied State, he had ended the battle quickly, leaving the Behemoth no chance to counter-attack. Furthermore, the Frenzied State didn't have the side effects of the Blood Burst Technique he used before, nor did it require popping scale powder to control; in his Frenzied State, his mental reactions were also enhanced.
The only problem was that the consumption was too great.
While he wasn't weak to the point of exhaustion, he felt a deep fatigue and could no longer engage in overly intense combat.
"Whether it's the Wings of the Heavenly Comet or the Supercharged Excited State, the consumption is very severe; even with my stamina, I can't use them for long. The black oil can only temporarily stimulate the body into an active and Frenzied State; it cannot provide continuous energy."
Garros thought quietly.
He felt that the key still lay in Dragon Qi.
Only the Dragon Qi, formed by the combination and sublimation of Demonic Energy and life energy, could support his high-intensity use of the Frenzied State.
