Chapter 108 - The Key to Victory.

Under the vast and deep night sky, the fierce battle between the Hybrid Dragon and the Diamond Giant finally came to a close.

When the battle ended.

The tightened heartstrings and muscles relaxed slightly, and the excited spirit and body gradually returned to normal.

What followed was a wave of exhaustion and pain.

Garros touched his head.

One of his horns was broken; twisting his neck to scan the surroundings, he saw his severed dragon horn embedded deep in the Diamond Giant's arm, with dense cracks spreading from the point of impact.

He swayed and stretched his body.

The pain coming from both inside and outside made Garros grimace.

The limit-breaking strike, Dragonfall, had killed the Diamond Giant, but it had also left Garros seriously injured.

He felt that at least three of his ribs were broken.

Dragon blood flowed from the wounds on his body, pooling on the ground.

This state was only one step away from being critically wounded.

It had almost reached Garros's limit.

This battle with the Diamond Giant was truly perilous and difficult.

The Diamond Giant's overall level was actually higher than Garros's.

Standing upon the earth and relying on its powerful defense and regeneration, it could ignore most of Garros's attacks, while its own strikes could break through Garros's scale armor and deal effective damage.

But Garros had won in the end.

He had lured the Diamond Giant away, fought it in his normal state, feigned weakness to lower its guard, and then his Kin Legion arrived to attack the camp and distract it; finally, he revealed his trump card and delivered the killing blow with his strongest strike.

"I won because of the initiative, because of advance preparation, and because of meticulous planning."

Garros thought silently as he reviewed the battle.

If the Diamond Giant had been prepared, the outcome of this battle might have been completely different.

As powerful as the Diamond Giant was, with a higher life Rank and stronger raw power, it was killed by Garros because of negligence and obvious weaknesses.

This made Garros deeply realize something.

Once he became stronger in the future, until he was powerful enough to sweep everything away with absolute strength, it would be best to remain cautious and not let arrogance and conceit dominate him.

Especially when deciding to take risks, he needed to be more deliberate and not just act on impulse.

Strength is the key to victory, but it is not the only factor.

This Diamond Giant was a cautionary tale.

Simply because its reaction was a bit slow, it was ambushed by Garros's planned strike; then, despite having greater strength, it was like being stuck in a quagmire, led by the nose step by step, finally meeting death full of resentment.

"The hidden danger posed by the Stone Giants has been resolved."

"I can finally live a peaceful life again."

"I hope the coming days will have fewer ups and downs, allowing me to develop in peace."

The development of the territory was on the right track, and Garros did not want too many accidents to happen.

Putting his thoughts away, Garros's gaze once again swept over the Diamond Giant's shattered body.

With its death and the removal of the Diamond Crystal Core, its once-shining body became ordinary, but those broken stone fragments still revealed a diamond-like luster; they weren't ordinary diamonds, but Magic Diamonds with a certain amount of Demonic Energy flowing through them.

The remains of the Diamond Giant were a significant fortune.

They could be used for trade to exchange for a large amount of black oil or other resources, or eaten directly; Magic Diamonds like these were very beneficial for the development of Garros's claws, scales, and bones, improving their hardness, sharpness, and magic resistance to a certain extent.

The only problem was...

...having to struggle against the miserly nature of the Dragonkin.

"Eating a little every day will not only promote development but also train my resistance to the attraction of treasure."

Garros thought to himself, picking up a fist-sized Magic Diamond. He took a few deep breaths, suppressed the feeling of reluctance, and ate it.

Immediately after, he picked up a second piece.

He put this second piece into his mouth but found it hard to swallow for a long time, as if every cell in his body was resisting; Garros felt extreme reluctance.

But in the end, he steeled his heart and ate the second piece as well.

When he tried the third piece, Garros fought a fierce battle with his own desires; his face twitched and his body trembled, but he still found it difficult to take a bite.

However, this was already progress.

Previously, Garros had never been able to eat two magic gems in a row; now he had progressed to the third.

"One day, I will be able to eat all the treasure without batting an eye."

Garros thought to himself.

There were many fragments of the Diamond Giant's remains, and they were difficult to pack up, so he simply left them for now. Carrying only the most precious Diamond Crystal Core with him, he took to the sky and flew back toward the Stone Giant camp.

The battle at the giant camp was not yet over.

Led by Gluttony Demon Karu, Garros's Kin Legion was besieging the Stone Giants.

Several Warlocks had cast buffing Spells on Karu, and the Bloodtooth Overseer had also used his Battle Aura to boost his attributes. Now, Gluttony Demon Karu was fighting the Granite Giant head-on without being at a disadvantage.

Its heavy punches and kicks were incredibly powerful.

Landing on the Granite Giant, who was taller and sturdier than him, they caused broken stones to fly and dust to fall.

Bang!

The Granite Giant sent the Gluttonous Ogre flying back with a single punch.

But before it could go to support the other giants, the Gluttonous Ogre stabilized his body.

His feet crushed the ground as his body charged forward like a cannonball at an even faster speed, throwing himself against the Granite Giant's chest.

Amidst the dull sound of impact.

The Granite Giant's chest armor shattered in a spider-web pattern, and broken stones sprayed backward like buckshot.

Its massive and majestic body stumbled back, lines of anger appearing on its face as it raised its arm to strike Gluttony Demon Karu.

Not to be outdone, the Gluttonous Ogre clashed head-on with the Granite Giant, flesh fists meeting stone fists, continuously producing dull thudding sounds.

"Take my Super Demonic Punch!"

Karu suddenly took a step back, raised his massive fist, and roared in a gruff voice.

Hearing this, the Granite Giant looked wary, its eyes fixed intently on the Gluttonous Ogre's fist.

The next second.

Karu punched with all his might, and the Granite Giant swung its fist to meet him at the same time.

When they collided, the Granite Giant was somewhat confused.

This punch from the Gluttonous Ogre didn't seem to be anything special; the strength was about the same as before.

At the same time, Karu opened his bloody maw, where thick energy had already finished brewing and accumulating.

"Despicable!"

The Granite Giant's pupils constricted.

Boom!

Karu spat out a turbid energy ball at extreme speed. At such close range, it hit the Granite Giant's chest directly, blasting it away and sending it crashing heavily to the ground.

Before the Granite Giant could struggle to its feet.

Karu's sturdy body jumped up and slammed onto it. He raised his fists and unleashed a stormy onslaught, battering the Granite Giant so hard it couldn't get up, its body covered in collapses and cracks.
