Chapter 106 - Wrestling with the Giant.

Garros's dragon pupils contracted slightly.

Wherever that white pillar of light passed, the air was decomposed into a vacuum trail, even light itself was distorted, and its speed was incredibly fast.

If this hit him, it would definitely not be pleasant.

The Diamond Giant was more powerful than any opponent he had ever encountered before.

To kill it, he needed the right timing and the correct strategy.

Garros suddenly tucked his wings and his body rolled rapidly in the air; the light pillar grazed past his wing membranes, while attacks like rocks and fireballs were directly and brutally smashed aside by him.

However, due to these distractions, his speed inevitably slowed down significantly.

Whoosh!

Garros opened his mouth and spat out Flame Dragon Breath.

The thick flames surged, highly condensed, shooting toward a young Stone Giant in a pillar-like shape.

The young Stone Giant stood sluggishly in place, watching helplessly as the Dragon Breath approached.

The Granite Giant shoved its clansman aside and condensed a thick giant stone shield in its hand, intercepting the Dragon Breath.

Its heavy, tall body was pushed back step by step by the Dragon Breath, plowing long furrows into the ground, and the giant stone shield was visibly melting into a glass-like substance.

He suddenly stopped his breath attack.

Garros's body swerved, dodging a spear thrown by the Diamond Giant.

Seeing that Garros was no longer using the ground-slamming attack method, the Diamond Giant chanted a low incantation, preparing to use a Heavy Spell on him to affect his speed and maneuverability.

However...

Garros was already prepared.

With a flap of his wings, he pulled up and climbed in altitude to exit the Spell's range.

The Diamond Giant's Spell hit nothing, and its Demonic Energy was wasted in vain.

"This Young Dragon is not simple."

The Diamond Giant gazed at the Dragonkin circling high in the sky, its heart solemn.

This wasn't the first time it had dealt with Dragonkin, and its hands had been stained with the blood of dragons before.

In the Diamond Giant's impression, Dragonkin were creatures that could not suppress their violent emotions once they started fighting.

They could fly, but few Dragonkin could utilize this advantage well.

Often, once their blood was up, Dragonkin would choose to engage in melee combat on the ground. Red Dragons, in particular, enjoyed close-quarters combat and the feeling of a bloody slaughter rather than maneuvering around a target using their speed and flight skills.

The Young Dragon before it had the Red Dragon Bloodline.

The spines on its body, its sturdy frame, and the sulfurous smell all confirmed this, but the feeling it gave the Diamond Giant was not at all like that of a stupid and reckless Red Dragon.

Under the deep shroud of night, the battle continued.

Garros fully utilized his advantage of commanding the sky. Since the first surprise attack, where he killed a young Stone Giant with a ferocious dive, he had never landed again.

Using long-range means like Dragon Breath and Explosive Scales, he controlled the area and subjected the Stone Giant camp to a frantic bombardment.

Because he could accumulate power time and again before launching an attack, Garros, as the attacker, held the initiative. The Stone Giants, forced to defend for so long, eventually made a mistake.

When Garros dove down once more, the Granite Giant used a Heavy Spell on him.

It wasn't when Garros's speed slowed down to take flight, but when he was accelerating his dive—the timing of the Spell's use was completely wrong.

Under the dual effect of the invisible pull from the earth and his surging aura, Garros's body tore through the night sky, almost turning into a straight line as he swept toward the Stone Giant camp.

He unfurled his wings, which were like giant guillotines.

A towering stone house, the Granite Giant's arm, and the head of another young Stone Giant were all neatly severed at the same time.

The Diamond Giant strode forward to Garros and raised its arm.

Garros showed no fear. Relying on his speed, he sidestepped the heavy punch and slammed into the Diamond Giant's magnificent and hard chest.

Bang!

The ground caved in and cracked.

The moment the collision occurred, some of the spines and fine scales on Garros's body shattered, and his Explosive Scales detonated. Meanwhile, the Diamond Giant's heavy body was knocked backward, rolling dozens of times on the ground, crushing many monster subordinates and knocking down several houses before finally being embedded in the high wall surrounding the camp, buried by rubble.

In terms of pure wrestling, Garros was currently no match for the Diamond Giant.

After all, he was too young, and his life Rank was not high enough.

However, after accelerating, Garros, whose body carried immense kinetic energy, was able to send the Diamond Giant flying in one hit. Due to his years of adaptive evolution from crashing into mountains and the ground, although he felt a bout of dizziness, he suffered no other major issues.

He spread his dragon wings.

Before the swarms of monsters could surround him, Garros took to the sky again, leaving the ground battlefield.

The Diamond Giant stood up from the pile of rubble. There was a clear indentation and cracks on its chest, but as surrounding earth and stone gathered, it quickly healed.

It possessed terrifying defensive power and could constantly repair itself by absorbing earth and stone.

Even if it stood still, it would take a long time to destroy and kill it.

In his current state, Garros didn't actually have a good solution for the Diamond Giant.

The Diamond Giant was also helpless against Garros.

Garros's speed was too fast, and he had abundant stamina. He maintained terrifying speed and explosiveness, yet until now, he had shown no signs of fatigue or weakness, and no obvious flaws.

Both sides found each other very troublesome.

"It can't kill me, but the situation for my other clansmen is very dangerous," the Diamond Giant thought as its gaze swept over the other giants.

The Granite Giant was pressing the young giant's head back onto its body, using earth elemental energy to stitch the wound and make it stand up again.

Stone Giants were not flesh-and-blood lifeforms.

A decapitating strike was not a fatal wound for them.

However, the feeling of brushing past death still made the young Stone Giant tremble slightly, filling it with anger and fear toward the dragon in the sky.

The even younger giants were similarly terrified, shivering behind the Granite Giant.

"I cannot continue fighting it inside the camp."

"With every attack, it causes damage to the camp, and I still have to worry about my kin, so I can't go all out."

With this thought, the Diamond Giant raised its head and began to insult and provoke Garros.

"Mixed-blood mongrel!"

Its roar was like a landslide as it shouted and cursed: "A cowardly fellow who only dares to stay in the sky and doesn't dare approach the ground at all! You're not even as good as these useless Rock Lizards!"

"You are fearing me! Fearing that I will tear your dragon wings to shreds, pull off your dragon scales, and skin and de-bone you!"

"No Red Dragon is as shrinking and cowardly as you. You have none of the Dragon Clan's glory, and you disgust me!"

First came the insults to draw hatred.

The Diamond Giant noticed that anger appeared on the Young Dragon's face.

Heh, in the end, he's just a Young Dragon. Although his Heart-Nature is steadier than other dragons, he still can't hold back and can't withstand provocation and insults.

Considering Garros was more composed than other dragons...

This bit of reverse psychology might not be enough to firmly draw his hatred.

The Diamond Giant casually broke off a finger and threw it toward the sky: "Come on, you cowardly mixed-blood lizard! This bit of scrap is enough to be an heirloom for your beggar's nest. Don't you Dragon Clans like shiny trash?!"

It retracted the light on its body and gathered it at its left chest.

Within its heart, a shimmering light was revealed.

Pure, dazzling, and bright.

It was like a small white sun.

That was the Diamond Giant's heart, a top-grade magic diamond nurtured within a Stone Giant's body for hundreds of years.

"A true treasure! A piece of trash like you doesn't even have the right to touch it!"

After the insults, the Diamond Giant used a dragon's greed to lure him.

Garros's eyes flickered as he stared at the Diamond Giant, and a look of anger and greed appropriately appeared on his dragon face.

"I will rip open your stone body with my claws and dig out your heart," he said.

"Heh, come if you have the ability."

The Diamond Giant's knees bent slightly, and then with a great leap, it left the range of the Stone Giant camp, striding toward the higher ground further back.

The Stone Giant camp was located on a piece of high ground.

The ground here sloped slightly upward and was generally flat without too many obstacles. It ran at a decent speed, gradually moving away from the camp.

As if drawn by the provocation and the treasure, Garros abandoned his attack on the giant camp.

An imperceptible curve curled at the corner of the Red-Iron Dragon's mouth.

"Finally fallen for it!"

He whispered joyfully in his heart, flapping his wings to soar high in the sky, pursuing the Diamond Giant.
