Chapter 337
**Dagon POV**
I stood on the bridge of the *Terminus*, hands clasped behind my back, staring at the tactical holotable that displayed my new fleet in all its growing glory. The massive shipyards above Alland had delivered the first wave of Valiant-class Star Destroyers, and the sight of them forming up alongside the Resurgents and the modified Venators filled me with a quiet sense of momentum.
The *Terminus* — my heavily modified Imperious-class flagship — anchored the formation. Around it, the five Resurgent-class Battlecruisers (*Finalizer*, *Steadfast*, *Ranger*, *Fortitude*, and *Grey Wolf*) loomed like dark daggers. The fifteen Valiant-class ships — *Valiant*, *Sovereign*, *Yaddle*, *Silencer*, *Retribution*, *Endurance*, *Skelter*, *Hood*, *York*, *Enterprise*, *Vanguard*, *Independence*, *Blackfire*, *Knull*, and *Necrosword* — formed the heavy striking core. Supporting them were the 64 Lancer-class frigates, 75 Braha'tok-class gunships, and 45 Starkiller-class light cruiser/carriers.
The troop and escort fleet — 20 Pelta-class frigates, 30 Aegis Hammerhead cruisers, 20 Marauder-class corvettes, 25 Consular-class light cruisers, 24 Arquitens-class command cruisers, 30 Arquitens-class light cruisers, 15 Acclamator-class assault ships, and 10 Venators (*Guardian*, *Liberation*, *Devastator*, *Dark Omen*, *Rampage*, *Redeemer*, *Defender*, *Whisper*, *Alpha*, *Nexus*) — completed the armada.
I continued creating battle plans and listing possible scenarios in my mind. The *Malevolence* was ready. With its terrifying ion cannon and massive turbolaser batteries, it could destroy entire Republic fleets if left unchecked. In the original timeline, it had been a monster designed like the Bismarck, Yamato, or Tirpitz — heavy firepower battleships from Earth's World War II, meant to dominate through sheer destructive power. In space, the use of torpedoes was limited, and given the large number of turbolasers the ship would carry along with its fighter wing, the standard approach still made sense: Battlecruiser and Star Destroyer doctrine — overwhelming turbolaser and cannon fire.
The *Terminus*, plus the five Resurgents and fifteen Valiants, gave me a strong argument for intercepting it. So far, Grievous had only attacked Vanqor and Ithor. Soon he would strike the Republic's Fourth Fleet. At least the *Malevolence* was slow, which meant I could now position myself to intercept and protect the target.
"Ready the main battle fleet to jump to the Dentaal system," I ordered.
Admiral Ragnos turned from his station. "Sir?"
Tarkin's hologram appeared instantly from the *Sovereign*. "Are you sure that is the location of the Fourth Sector Fleet?"
"Yeah. Why?" I replied. "As Vice Supreme Commander, appointed by Yoda, I am authorized to move to any position I feel needs help to finish battles quickly."
"It's just that…" Tarkin hesitated, then continued carefully, "they are rather… stuck up."
"They would likely just report us to the next in command," Pellaeon added from the *Hood*.
"Yeah," Captain Ray chimed in from the *York*. "They don't like outsiders stepping on their toes."
"The only person higher than me is Master Yoda or the Chancellor," I said firmly. "So they are stuck with me. Ready the jump."
Firmus Piett, now captain of the *Knull* after I had recruited him from a lowly position and secured his loyalty, nodded sharply. Brom Titus on the *Necrosword* did the same.
Soon Grievous and my chance to end this war would see resolution.
The fleet began to align for hyperspace. The *Terminus* led, its kyber-enhanced reactor humming with power. The Resurgents and Valiants fell into formation behind it, their heavy turbolaser batteries already charged and ready.
As the stars stretched into lines, I allowed myself one final thought:
*Malevolence… I'm coming for you.*
The war was about to turn.
