Chapter 139 - Chapter 137 Class Assignment, Kakashi's Big Gift

Chapter 137 Class Assignment, Kakashi's Big Gift

"Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji from Class 10, come out and come with me."

A man with a cigarette dangling from his lips walked in, his eyes carrying a hint of satisfaction, and then called out the names of three children in his class.

"Let's go."

Shikamaru patted Ino on the shoulder, then walked towards Asuma.

"Seriously, how come the teacher is such a heavy smoker!"

Ino was on the verge of tears. In her team, there was a glutton, a lazybones, and now a chain smoker.

Oh no, I feel like my life is completely bleak.

Naruto greeted Asuma happily. This uncle was his grandfather's son, so theoretically he was his... well, never mind, it's easier to call him Uncle Asuma.

Asuma watched Naruto about to exit, a sense of crisis arose within him. Oh no, he forgot about Naruto, the lightning bolt!

He moved quickly and, amidst the strange looks from the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, covered Naruto's mouth.

"Ahem, Naruto, just call me Uncle outside, don't add the first two words, okay?"

Asuma was really afraid of this title. When he went out shopping with Kurenai before, Naruto saw him, and that's how Kurenai found out about the title.

Well, although Kurenai Yuhi didn't seem to care, Anko Mitarashi, who was standing next to her, was smiling happily.

Then, Anko Mitarashi used her power to blackmail her and swindled her out of the money she had spent on several meals of meatballs.

Although he didn't care about the money, Asuma was very dissatisfied with Red Bean's attitude.

"Ouch."

Naruto nodded. The gorilla uncle's tone was very sincere, so he decided to take pity on him and let him go.

Sasuke's gaze was different from Hinata's, who was filled with curiosity. Sasuke knew about Naruto's ability to come up with strange nicknames, and his own nickname "Wild Boar Killer" was still a sore spot.

So, what is this uncle's title?

Things are getting interesting. I'll ask Naruto when we're alone later.

After a while, a woman walked in.

She had black curly hair, and her white bandage dress was tinged with bright red, which contrasted with her deep red eyes.

"Sister Kurenai Yuhi!"

Naruto shook his hand again. He knew that Uncle Asuma liked Sister Kurenai, but Uncle Gorilla was too cowardly to make a move.

"Hello, Naruto."

Kurenai winked at Naruto, then called out the names of the children in her class.

"Kiba Inuzuka, Sakura Haruno, and... Shino Aburame."

Shino was moved to tears; finally, a teacher was calling out his name.

"Okay, come out with me."

Sakura packed up her books and followed Kurenai outside.

Naruto watched Sakura walk away and began to think.

Big Sister Kurenai excels at genjutsu, while Sakura has excellent theoretical knowledge and good chakra control, so she might be a good candidate for this path.

As one group after another left, only four people remained in the large class.

Yes, Sasuke, Naruto, Hinata, and Karin.

"Hey, Karin, what are you still doing here?"

Naruto tilted his head and asked.

"Hehe, I'm not telling you."

Karin gave a playful smile, a hint of smugness flashing in her eyes.

Hmph, you foolish Onii-chan, do you think you didn't know that you secretly went to see old man Sarutobi?

Honestly, he didn't even consider his own cute little sister. Luckily, I'm quick-witted.

About a day after Naruto went to see Sarutobi, Karin ran to the Hokage Building on a dark and stormy night and explained her thoughts.

"So, you want to go with Naruto and the others?"

Sarutobi rubbed his temples, looked at Karin with a slightly helpless expression, and said.

"Uh-huh."

Karin nodded obediently.

"But we've always had three students per class."

"I don't care."

Karin spoke the harshest words in the most obedient tone.

"If you don't agree, I'll tell Grandma you bullied me and she'll teach you a lesson."

(^_−)☆

Karin blinked, her eyes sparkling like stars.

Sarutobi's intended words of further persuasion were stuck in his throat.

"Ahem, actually it's not that we can't do it, rules are rigid, but people are flexible."

At worst, Kakashi can bring one more person. It's better to agree directly than to be forced to agree after being scolded by Mito's ancestors.

"Yay, the Hokage is so nice."

Karin left happily.

I hope Kakashi's next tutorial goes smoothly.

To prevent Kakashi from being afraid to teach or test the children's character because of the existence of his ancestors, Sarutobi did not tell Naruto and Karin what was in their stomachs.

If things don't go smoothly and something goes wrong, I can't guarantee he won't be torn apart by his ancestors.

No, Minato and Kushina should protect him, right?

Let's hope so.

Returning to the present, the three of them waited until the afternoon.

During that time, Naruto went out and bought a meal.

(╬ ̄俣)

"Why aren't they here yet?"

Naruto slumped on the table, helplessly throwing out a three-on-one fight.

How would I know?

Sasuke, equally powerless, threw out a pair of fives. They'd been playing cards all afternoon; even the most interesting game couldn't last forever.

Creating ninja battles was too troublesome, and since there was no Nine-Tails projector, Naruto didn't create them outside.

Inside the sealed space, Kushina yawned out of boredom.

"Hey, why isn't Kakashi here yet? Even Obito was never this late back then."

Minato smiled helplessly, and through Kurama's perception, he saw Kakashi standing in the cemetery, a hint of apology flashing in his eyes.

"They might have been infected by Obito."

He masked the faint sadness in his heart with a joke.

"Dude! I have an idea."

Karin put down her bad hand, slammed her hand on the table, and stood up on her chair.

"Tell me! See if it's the same as what I'm thinking."

"How about we give this mentor a big gift?"

Karin's long red hair seemed about to fly up, and anger burned in her eyes.

Damn it, even old man Sarutobi didn't dare to stand him up.

It's one thing if other teachers arrive late, but why are you the only one who's so late!

I'll see just what kind of monster you are!

"Great! That's very well said!"

A glint flashed in Naruto's eyes. As expected of siblings.

If you and I, brother and sister, work together, we can conquer the world!

Sasuke quietly leaned closer; clearly, he wanted to participate too.

"That's not a good idea..."

Hinata watched Naruto from the sidelines the whole time, just observing, but time seemed to fly by.

"It's okay, we're just making up for the precious time we wasted."

Naruto patted Hinata's head, using wicked words to bewitch the innocent little Hinata.

"Really?"

Hinata was persuaded.

"Yes, I believe the Jonin teacher won't be hurt by such a small but generous gift."

Naruto grinned mischievously.
