In the New World, on an island rich with resources, the Red-Haired Pirates were temporarily stationed for rest and recuperation.
At the center of the island, on a flat mountain peak, Red-Haired was drinking with Hawk-Eyes.
Red-Haired raised a large sea bowl, tilted his head back, and downed the strong liquor in one gulp, laughing heartily:
"Haha, refreshing! By the way, Mihawk, didn't you find that White Dove Vice Admiral interesting earlier? Are you about to set off to find him for a good spar?"
In stark contrast to the wild and unrestrained Red-Haired, Hawk-Eyes, born of noble lineage, maintained elegance and composure even on this primitive island:
"Indeed. Although White Dove is not a pure swordsman, his swordsmanship is excellent, worthy of a battle!"
Red-Haired replied with a laugh, "To earn your recognition, that White Dove Vice Admiral must be quite a guy."
"Captain, it's bad! Something's happened at Sabaody Archipelago!" At that moment, Yasopp came running over at full speed, holding a Projection Den Den Mushi.
Red-Haired teased, "Hahaha, Yasopp, what's the rush? Don't tell me that Fox guy has killed another Celestial Dragon?"
Yasopp's expression stiffened, and he looked at Red-Haired strangely.
Red-Haired immediately sensed something was wrong. "What? Don't tell me it's true?"
Yasopp activated the Projection Den Den Mushi, projecting the scene from the Sabaody Archipelago auction house.
Upon seeing the footage, the expressions of both Red-Haired and Hawk-Eyes froze.
Yasopp rubbed his nose and said gravely,
"The situation is worse than you said. That Fox guy isn't just assassinating a Celestial Dragon. He's started a worldwide broadcast and is going to publicly execute a Celestial Dragon!"
Besides the two Emperors, other major forces also connected to the broadcast feed within a short time.
The two other Emperors, Big Mom and Kaido; all the other Seven Warlords of the Sea; major pirate crews across the Grand Line; islands like Fish-Man Island and Skypiea; Fleet Admiral Sengoku and the various Vice Admirals and Admirals at Marine Headquarters—all were watching this broadcast.
Even Ivan and the others, who had just arrived at Marineford, saw what was happening at Sabaody Archipelago through a Projection Den Den Mushi.
Tashigi frowned tightly, somewhat worried. "Vice Admiral Ivan, the seas are becoming more and more dangerous. When do you think the sea will return to peace?"
Nami was far more carefree than Tashigi. She patted Tashigi's shoulder and laughed brightly:
"Don't worry, Tashigi. No matter how chaotic the seas get, we'll manage to live well. Besides, those Celestial Dragons are no good. It'd be best if they all died out!"
She lowered her voice for the last sentence.
Ivan's Wood Clone watched the two banter with a smile, thinking to himself, "It's already begun. I hope the World Government enjoys this broadcast!"
In the Fleet Admiral's office, mere seconds after the broadcast started, the Gorosei's call reached Sengoku:
"Sengoku, dispatch the three Admirals to Sabaody Archipelago immediately and find a way to block this damn signal.
This time, Fox must not be allowed to escape!"
Sengoku's expression was grave. "Understood!"
...
In just a few dozen seconds, the impact of the broadcast began to ripple across the entire world.
Sabaody Archipelago, inside the auction house, Ivan held the Visual Den Den Mushi with a brilliant smile:
"Ahem, seeing the scene beside me, everyone should know what's about to happen next.
That's right, today I'm starting a special live broadcast—the execution of a Celestial Dragon!
There's a rumor circulating across the seas that Celestial Dragons are descendants of the creators, regarding themselves as gods.
Well, today I'm here to verify whether this rumor is true!"
Ivan turned the Den Den Mushi toward the recently deceased Charlos, his tone tinged with disappointment:
"Tsk, aren't they supposed to be gods? Then why can they be killed?
It seems the so-called rumor is most likely a lie. They aren't gods; the blood flowing in their veins is the same red as ours.
They die when killed!"
"Gururururu… Gururururu… Gururururu…"
The Den Den Mushi rang. A pirate pulled one from his pocket, puzzled, and answered.
The Den Den Mushi transformed into the image of a stern-faced old man: "I am Fleet Admiral Sengoku of the Marines. If you value your life, hand the Den Den Mushi to Fox!"
The pirate's face paled. He hurriedly tossed the Den Den Mushi to Fox and fled without looking back.
Receiving a call from the Marine Fleet Admiral—that scared the life out of a pirate!
Ivan took the Den Den Mushi, his expression somewhat odd. This was the first time he was speaking with Fleet Admiral Sengoku in his identity as part of the Shadow Garden.
Noticing the Den Den Mushi had changed into the likeness of a masked man, Sengoku immediately realized it was Fox on the other end and sternly threatened:
"Fox, I am Fleet Admiral Sengoku of the Marines. I order you to cease the broadcast immediately and surrender. Otherwise, the Marines will spare no effort to eliminate you and the Shadow Garden behind you!"
Hearing this, Ivan laughed. Sorry, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, though I have a decent impression of you, we're enemies now:
"Hahaha, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, don't be ridiculous. Ever since I killed Saint Roswald, it's been a fight to the death between me and the World Government, hasn't it?"
"You still have a chance…"
"Shut up. Tell the Gorosei: you might cut off my signal or send Admirals to capture me. But before that, I'll finish everything!"
With that, Ivan hung up!
The next moment, he raised his head and turned his gaze back to the Den Den Mushi:
"Don't mind that, everyone. We were interrupted by an old relic from a bygone era for a moment. Let's return to our earlier topic.
We need to verify whether Celestial Dragons are truly gods. A single sample is absolutely insufficient…"
At this point, whether it was Red-Haired, Sengoku, or the Gorosei high above in the heavens, all sensed something amiss!
Sure enough, Ivan's voice grew exceptionally unrestrained, his bold laughter echoing throughout Area 1:
"That's right, a single sample isn't enough. So let's gather a few more samples!"
Next, those watching the live broadcast saw the screen flicker. When it stabilized again, the background behind Ivan had abruptly changed from the auction house to an opulent palace.
Inside the palace, a beauty in lavish court attire stared at Ivan in terror, her pants instantly soaked.
Ivan aimed the camera lens at the palace-dressed beauty and laughed as he introduced, "Everyone, take a look at this one. She is Charlos's sister, Shalria, and she is also our second subject today for investigating whether the Celestial Dragons are gods!"
"Ahhh, stay away from me!"
Faced with the Fox who had killed her father, Shalria had no intention of resisting. She scrambled away in a panic, trying to flee, but Ivan caught her in an instant and teleported her into the auction house using Flying Thunder God.
Next, Ivan's figure flickered repeatedly, swiftly transporting the other two Celestial Dragons who resided on Sabaody Archipelago into the auction house.
Amidst the cries and pleas of the three Celestial Dragons, Ivan gave a slight bow to the camera and smiled:
"Now, with all the subjects gathered, let us begin our research—to uncover the truth that the World Government has hidden!"
