"..."
Allen looked at his current SP and was jovial to see the handsome amount.
All in all, he had killed 10372 zombies in total in the entirety of Wion.
This made his total SP stand to over a whopping 50000!
53410 SP to be exact.
With this amount of SP, not only could he level up the System multiple times but also buy 2 Stellanet Routers and still have over 10000 SP left.
'I still have to secure the Neighborhood.' He thought.
The way he would do so was simple.
'Barricade the entire area with vehicles and buildings so that zombies can't enter.'
This was quite important for Allen as he wanted to make this place into a safe haven for the future survivors he'd rescue.
Yes, he'd save more survivors and bring them here to build something he knew he was going to need in the long run against the zombies.
'An army.'
He would build a coalition of survivors with him at the helm and free Ataraxia of the scourge known as zombies.
'Hmm, the problem is that I didn't find any more survivors here after Donovan. I expected there to be more but it seems the virus is more potent than I expected.' Allen thought, stroking his chin.
'Well. there will probably be more in the other Neighborhoods. Either way, I need to first barricade this place.'
With that in mind, Allen decided to move to the edges of Wion.
"Donovan, get your ass up. We're moving to the edges of this place." Allen said, looking at Donovan who was still lying.
Allen had gotten slightly friendlier with the man after seeing his amazing combat abilities.
During the sweeping of the other areas in the Neighborhood, another Hopper had appeared.
However, this time instead of facing it himself, he let Donovan fight against it.
The results were shocking to say the least.
Donovan had shown reflexes that even top athletes would have difficulty to learn during the fight.
His reflexes were extremely fluid but also sharp. It was as if he were water one second and sharp ice the next.
When he asked Donovan about his strength, he simply replied that he was made to learn martial arts at the command of his father.
Although it did take longer and more effort for Donovan to win, he finally managed to kill the Hopper.
'Albeit I did help him slightly when I used the gauntlet to make the Hopper slip. Donovan used that window of opportunity to the fullest as he went all in on the offensive.'
During the fight, he noticed that Donovan was getting more and more exhausted as the fight dragged on. The Hopper on the other hand, due to being an undead did not have problems with stamina.
If the fight had dragged on it was unclear if Donovan would have still won.
Hence, he had decided to lend a hand.
"Haah… haah… can we wait just five more minutes?" Donovan said as he heaved for breath.
"Haah… fine. We'll wait for 5 more minutes. However, after that, we'll be leaving." Allen sighingly agreed.
"Thanks… Mr. Cross." Donovan said with slight hesitation, afraid of getting berated.
Allen was getting annoyed at being called Master over and over again.
That's why, he simply decided to give Donovan his last name and told him to respectfully address him using that.
At first, Donovan was skeptical thinking it was some sort of test, which he still thought, but Allen reassured him that he didn't mind.
This put Donovan at ease even if slightly that he would perhaps not be killed at the end of it all. It also showed him that Allen was not as cold to him when compared to a few hours ago.
"Alright, five minutes are up. Let's go." Allen said before bringing out the chopper from his inventory.
Donovan got up without resisting and got inside with Allen as they flew towards the edges.
It didn't take them long to reach as there were no more zombies anymore.
Not like they would be able to do anything as they were in the air.
After all, there were no flying zombies… right?
Ehem…
Allen landed the chopper on a nearby building as they both got off.
He then used the Magnetic Gauntlet and created 20 meter tall walls made entirely of cars, trucks and whatever vehicles he found.
The entire barricade took Allen a while as he had to recharge the Gauntlet whilst in the middle of barricading.
However, after realizing that the gauntlet would take quite some time to be recharged due to the low amount of sunlight, he simply decided that it wasn't worth it to wait that long of a time.
Instead, he bought another Magnetic Gauntlet.
This brought his total SP to: 52210
However, immediately upon purchase he was hit with an unexpected notification
[Magnetic Gauntlet limit reached.
Limit: 2/2
Level up the Super Market to further increase the limits.]
This was the notification he had received.
It was clear to Allen that the limits were put in place so as to not allow him to abuse the Super Market because of its 'cheap' prices.
The thing was that the items weren't actually 'cheap', rather it was Allen who had an absurd amount of SP for the current level of the Mart.
Allen did find the limits annoying but he didn't mind as much. After all, the level up cost of the Mart was nothing to him when considering his wealth.
'Just a small nuisance is all.' He thought as he wore the newly bought Magnetic Gauntlet.
He used that to continue barricading the rest of the place.
Eventually, after a few more hours, Allen was finally done!
"..."
Donovan stared at the Neighborhood that seemed more like a fortress now.
'It reminds me of a certain show where people walled themselves off to protect themselves against giant creatures. Ironically enough, the walls in that show were actually made of giants themselves!'
Donovan thought, recalling a show he used to ardently watch and was a huge fan of.
'They ruined it with a poor ending though.' He sighed inwardly as disappointment surged in his heart.
Allen on the other hand was quite proud of his work.
'This is the first step to take back Leno City. This is a Shelter. This is… my Kingdom.'
