Chapter 34 - His Infidelity News Is Out.

In a private villa downtown, dim light reflected two people entangled on the bed. It was none other than the loving couple, Ava and Chryston.

Their torn clothes and the red marks on their bodies showed how wild and passionate the previous night had been.

Even though the sun had already risen, blinding through the windows, they were yet to wake up.

Finally, a loud knock on the door brought them back from their dreamland.

Chryston was the first to wake. He groaned groggily, "Who is there?"

Ava stirred beside him.

The person at the door shouted, "Mom, it's me!"

"Bella?" Chryston called out.

"Yes, Daddy," Bella replied from the other side of the door.

"Oh God, it's our daughter. We can't go out like this," Ava exclaimed.

Then she said quickly, "We're coming, baby!"

"Okay, I will wait for you in the dining room," Bella replied before walking away.

Chryston pulled Ava back into his arms and kissed her.

A blush appeared on Ava's cheeks as she said, "Good morning."

Chryston trailed his fingers over her skin.

Ava playfully hit his arm. "Don't be naughty. It's still morning, and Bella is waiting for us outside."

Chryston finally released her, and Ava said, "We should get dressed."

She hopped off the bed and picked up her nightwear, but it had been shredded into pieces.

"Gosh, look what you did to my nightwear, Chryston. You are so wild."

"Don't you like it wild?" Chryston replied suggestively.

Ava blushed harder as she went into the inner room to change.

Chryston watched her disappear and couldn't help but think about Tania.

Every morning, Tania used to wake him with a kiss on the cheek and serve him tea. She always treated him like her little prince. She was too domineering. In their marriage, he often felt more like the wife than the husband.

At first, when he met Ava, he had only intended to have a child with her, since Tania could not give birth. But as he spent more time with Ava, he slowly fell for her soft personality.

He liked how she looked up to him and depended on him.

Just then, Ava appeared from the inner room, dressed in casual wear.

She looked at the bed and saw Chryston still lying there, looking lost.

She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "What are you thinking about?"

Before Chryston could answer, Ava's expression fell, and tears gathered in her eyes.

"Could it be that you don't like it here? Do you prefer staying with Tania? Are you missing her already?"

"What are you saying? I would never regret choosing you over her. The best thing that ever happened to me in this world is you and Bella," Chryston said, comforting her.

Seeing that she was still silent, he asked, "Don't you believe me?"

"I believe you," Ava said, hugging him tightly.

"You can't stop loving me, okay?" Ava whispered, resting her head on his chest.

"I won't," Chryston assured her.

Feeling reassured, Ava pulled away with a smile. "Get dressed quickly and come out for breakfast."

Chryston nodded, and she left the room.

He soon got dressed and joined them at the dining table.

"Good morning, Daddy," Bella greeted.

"Good morning, baby," Chryston replied with a warm smile.

He placed some food on Bella's plate.

"What about me?" Ava said, blinking innocently.

"Are you jealous of your daughter?" Chryston teased.

"Hmph," Ava snorted. "I don't care. You have to serve me too."

Chryston patted her head affectionately and placed food on her plate.

They all burst into laughter.

Looking at Ava and Bella laughing, Chryston told himself this was the family he had chosen.

He shouldn't regret it… right?

By the time they finished breakfast, Ava brought up the divorce with Tania.

"Now that you have divorced her, you should contact your lawyer to acquire half of her property," she said.

Chryston nodded. "You're right. But first, I need to change my lawyer. My current lawyer was appointed by her."

Thinking about it, most of what he had today was given to him by her—the fame, the company, everything that made him who he was.

His palm clenched into a fist.

But still, he told himself there was no reason to feel guilty.

It was what she owed him. He had stayed by her side all those years, even though she was childless.

Seeing him go silent, Ava spoke up, "I have a lawyer friend I can introduce to you."

"Oh, then have him come to my office," Chryston replied.

Ava held his hand. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine."

Chryston nodded.

Their emotional moment was interrupted by a phone call.

It was Chryston's assistant.

"Hello," Chryston answered.

"Mr. Chryston, you are on the news," his assistant said.

"What news?" Chryston asked in confusion.

"The news of your infidelity is out."

"What? How is that possible!" Chryston exclaimed.

He quickly ended the call and went online. True to his assistant's words, videos and pictures of him and Ava were everywhere.
