After some more normal conversation with the HPSC president, I was finally released to the testing ground.
I'd lost track of time, actually, and it was time for the second round of testing. I'd been passed forward, thankfully, and now had to 'rescue' civilians and make sure they were safe.
I silently waited next to the others from class 1-A as we waited for the next round. I'd already spotted Bakugo and Shoto, as well as Inasa, who was giving Shoto a conflicted look. I also had another pleasant surprise.

[Intermediate Stealth]
|Uncommon Skill|
You are experienced in the way of stealth; you know how to move silently, how to sneak up on people, how to check for traps, and how to gather information more effectively. You would be a qualified ninja grunt.
This would be very useful for sneaking around places the HPSC didn't want me. Now the gold.
[Aware]
|Rare Trait|
You have an enhanced sense of awareness, far beyond the average. You can easily tell when there is something wrong with your body; it is hard to catch you by surprise, and you can more easily tell what is going on around you.
This would be useful for keeping me safe from quirks like Shinso's. I don't know if his quirk could affect me, but I'd rather not find out the hard way.
"Where'd you disappear to?" Sasha suddenly appeared at my side, and I shrugged. "I passed, didn't I?" She narrowed her eyes but stayed silent as we waited for the next test. We didn't have to wait very long as the proctor's tired voice blared.
"As I'm sure you've all noticed, the area you were just in has suffered from a terrorist attack. Your job is to go in and help civilians. Get to it, guys, I'm getting tired."
The doors holding us back opened as we surged into the ruined arena. "Alright, class 1-A, listen up! We're splitting into two groups. Group one is me, Bakugo, Kirishima, Ochaco, Mezo, and Jiro. Our job is to find everyone who is hurt and take them safely to group two.
Group two will be Momo, Sero, Toru, Tsuyu, Sato, and Kaminari. Your job is to make a clear area for us to bring them to. Momo will make medical supplies to treat anyone we can, as well as tools to break apart things just in case.
Ida is going to be the runner to make sure we keep in contact. If I didn't call your name, choose a group and help the best you can. Plus Ultra!"
We leapt into action as I blazed a path into the rubble. Jiro and Mezo called out when they caught movement or heartbeats with their enhanced senses, but I made sure to call out as well. I then came upon the first of the many 'injured' civilians.
"H-help me, I can't feel my leg." A middle-aged woman said as I glanced at her. 'Trapped leg, bloody head. Don't move too fast.'
"Mezo, help me move this off of her!" I called out, and we lifted the stone from her legs and placed it on the side. "I need you to hold on as tight as you can, ma'am. We're here to help," I said with a smile as I lifted her.
I made my way back to find Momo, and the others had cleared out a good enough space to place the injured, with several cots already ready for people. I set the lady down before rushing back out to help more people.
This continued for another 20 minutes as we organized more people to help us figure out the best way to locate, extract, and rescue people. I also made sure to keep Bakugo and Shoto away from Inasa, just in case.
A sudden boom threw all that down the drain, however, as the proctor's voice rang out. "Oh, seems the villains have come back to finish what they started. Better keep everyone safe."
"Bakugo, Shoto, with me!" I yelled and led the way towards the sounds of fighting. Rounding the corner of a building size chunk of rubble, we found the villains, Gang Orca and his sidekicks.
"Take the small ones, I've got the big guy," I told them. Thankfully, they didn't fight me on this as we leapt into action. Since Bakugo and Shoto were focused on the peons, I could take out the big guy, Gang Orca himself.
Gang Orca was one of the larger heroes; he towered over everyone nearby at 6'7. I formed my armor over me to level things out before stomping the ground. A wave of water burst from the ground and slammed into Gang Orca.
"Is that all? I expected more from a so-called hero!" Gang Orca taunted as I grinned. Gang Orca froze as the water pooled at his feet, suddenly surged up and wrapped around him before freezing solid.
I knew this wouldn't be enough to hold him, so I prepared another layer when hurricane-force winds suddenly slammed into me, shattering Gang Orca's cage at the same time. "HAHA, I am freed by the foolish hero!"
I whirled around to see Inasa floating above the air. He launched another wave of gale-force wind at Orca, who took the blow. Inasa then glanced down at me as his expression soured. "I recognize you. You're a murderer."
"Back off, you fool! I had him trapped!" I snarled as another wave of water burst from the ground to slam into Gang Orca, only for a wall of wind to stop it. "I won't let you ever become a hero," Inasa growled darkly as I felt a headache forming.
"BAKUGO, SHOTO! Get over here!" I roared as they appeared beside me.
"This idiot," I jabbed a finger at Inasa, "Has a stick up his ass because I killed All For One. Make sure he actually takes down Gang Orca. I'm going to help group two." They nodded as my wings snapped open and I took to the air.
I left Gang Orca's laughter behind; I knew it was a front anyway. Inasa had likely failed just now since the last thing you ever do in a combat zone is help the villains.
I then spotted Ida running full tilt with members of group one right behind him, looking ahead I saw the medical area under attack, so I beat my wings harder. Slotting in Louden for Gaster Blaster, I shouted, "Watch out!"
The examinee reacted in time and moved, just as a wall of water descended upon the villains, attacking them. Since none of these guys had quirks or bodies that let them tank the water as Gang Orca did, most of them fell hard.
The water then wrapped around them before freezing solid as I landed a few meters away. "Are there more that need help?" I asked Momo as I got closer, and she nodded. "A few were sent out to get a group of civilians before we were attacked. They went to the far side."
Ida and the rest of group one arrived, and I gave them the instructions. "Stay here and make sure no prisoners escape, and keep the medics safe. I'm going to get a group that left a few minutes ago."
I then took to the air once more and used Six Eyes to spot both villains and students. It wasn't hard to pick them out; most of the students from the various hero schools wore their bright and flashy costumes, with the villains being in classic black and white striped shirts.
I checked the time and saw I still had a minute left before I could slit Gaster Blaster back in, so I simply froze any villains I came across in a nice layer of ice. I eventually found the group of students and civilians, with a few being more 'hurt' than others.
Two of them actually took off what must be prosthetic limbs to play at being trauma victims. I gave them priority, freezing their 'wounds' in ice to keep them from bleeding out, before making a small transport of water to bring them safely back to triage.
We passed several more villains on the way, and I let the other students deal with them. I did also slot Gaster Blaster back into place as well, just in case. As we got closer and closer, I noticed that some of the frozen villains I'd left behind weren't there anymore.
'Hmm, lots of ice shards. That idiot Inasa better not have let Gang Orca go!'
Thankfully, I saw a massive spiral of wind and fire in the air and assumed Shoto and Inasa were dealing with Orca, which left me the remaining villains who were now attacking the triage area. "Keep them all safe. I'll be right back." I told the others and raced forward.
Knowing that these were fake villains, I didn't even bring out a weapon, just using my bulk to blow through them before freezing them to the ground once more. I then rushed back to the injured and helped them back to the medical area as the horn sounded the end of the exam.
As the civilians got up and thanked everyone for helping them, I took to the air to find out what happened with Gang Orca. I arrived to find Gang Orca berating Bakugo, Shoto, and Inasa.
"The only one who did the right thing here was him!" Orca pointed at me as I landed, "What?" "I was explaining to these fools why they did not pass the exam, and how they will be doing supplemental exams with me."
I felt like ripping off Inasa's head, I really did. A familiar presence then appeared next to me as Sasha took my hand, "It's fine. Calm down." I huffed and dispelled the armor as I returned to normal size.
I ignored Inasa's glare as I walked over to Shoto. "I know it's bad, but you still have a chance to get the license. What happened, you three should have easily worked together." I asked as Bakugo answered with a snarl.
"I'll tell you what happened! This bitch couldn't stand being around us, just for the fact that he couldn't get to you, what a bitch!" Inasa shifted his glare over to Bakugo. "You are both guilty for letting someone like him remain among you."
"Dirty gaijin scum. Just another murdering freak." Inasa spat at my feet as I looked at him in shock. That's what this is about, me being a foreigner?! What the heck, dude?!
The air shifted as Gang Orca suddenly used his quirk. Inasa yelled in pain as Orca got closer and towered over him, still using his quirk. "How disappointing. To think that Shiketsu could produce someone like you. You disgrace yourself, your school, and Japan."
I didn't say a word as Gang Orca left Inasa in the dirt. Though I could tell the others were in shock as well. Bakugo snapped out of it first and raised his hand, probably to attack him, until I stopped him. "Don't. He isn't worth the effort."
We left Inasa behind as we rejoined the rest of the class and Aizawa. "I will deal with you two later," He said to Bakugo and Shoto, who nodded before getting on the bus. Sasha and I followed, but Aizawa kept me back for a moment.
"Gang Orca told me about what happened. It's unfortunate, but a very real thing you will deal with here. I've already filed a report, as I'm sure Gang Orca has." I nodded, a little rattled but not really bothered.
Apparently, word had spread to the rest of the class since everyone told me they would fight Inasa the next time they saw him, at least Bakugo and Kirishima would. I thanked them, but still, I wasn't really bothered by it. Just as long as Inasa kept his distance, I'd be more than willing to let him live.
