Let it be known that for the safety of the realm and the proper allocation of arcane resources, the Arkan Tier System remains the absolute law of the land. Following the Great Stabilization, an individual's status within our society is determined solely by their affinity with their Arkan threads and the resulting existential power level.
All citizens and entities are categorized under the following mandates:
Section I: Tier 0 – The Null
Official Status: Sub-Standard / Non-Integrated
Common Parlance: "Threadless" (Derogatory)
Regulatory Directive: Total Arkan Exclusion; Labor-Class Classification.
The absolute lowest tier within Magusrealm. Unlike the Dormant tier, who possess latent potential or high physical capabilities, the Null lack even the basic framework to anchor mana. They are utterly incapable of weapon mastery, advanced martial arts, or higher scholastic achievement.
While the High Council officially classifies them as "Null," they are universally and pejoratively referred to across all realms as the Threadless. By international decree, the Threadless are barred from holding public office, entering magical institutions, or seeking asylum in Arkan-shielded cities. They form the manual labor baseline of our society, deemed an evolutionary dead-end by the Council.
Section II: Tier 1 – The Dormant
Official Status: Unawakened
Regulatory Directive: Standard Civil Law Applies.
Though unawakened to active magic, the Dormant possess a healthy, latent mana threshold that allows for immense physical and mental development. This tier encompasses our elite non-magic populace: master martial artists, exceptional weapon masters, and brilliant scholars. While they do not channel magic, their underlying spirit energy elevates them far above the Threadless, granting them full citizenship and the right to serve as high-tier military officers or sovereign advisors.
Section III: Tier 2 – The Enthused
Official Status: Newly Awakened
Regulatory Directive: Mandatory Registration and Academy Enrollment.
Those classified as Enthused have experienced their first true resonance with mana, though it remains a volatile, unstable thing. This tier encompasses beginner mages, potion alchemists, low-circle seers, and minor channelers. Because their internal thresholds are new, their power often manifests as fragile passive enhancements or erratic, fleeting spells. They are to be monitored closely by local guilds until their mana ceases to fluctuate.
Section IV: Tier 3 – The Kindled
Official Status: Active Practitioners
Regulatory Directive: Eligible for Military Conscription
The backbone of modern Arkan society. A Kindled soul has successfully tamed the spark, stabilizing their internal threshold to a point where mana can be reliably and consistently channeled. These are our recognized Elementalists, Spellknights, Spiritbinders, Priestly Seers, and Wardens. They form the core of our defensive forces and industries, capable of sustained manipulation of the elements and disciplined ritual casting.
Section V: Tier 4 – The Sainted
Official Status: Exalted
Regulatory Directive: Diplomatic Immunity; Direct Council Oversight.
When an Arkan achieves a soul-channeling harmony so profound that their mortal limitations begin to fray, they are elevated to the rank of Sainted. These individuals—Archpriests, Grandmasters, and Ancestral Avatars—exhibit demigod-like prowess. Their mana integration is so deep that their actions pass into contemporary myth. They are regarded as living paragons of the state, and their movements across provincial borders must be reported directly to the High Council.
Section VI: Tier 5 – The Ascended
Official Status: Divine-Bearing
Regulatory Directive: Strategic Threat / National Asset Classification.
A terrifying rarity. An Ascended individual possesses a deific integration of mana capable of reality-altering feats. History remembers them as the ones who shape the borders of nations with a wave of a hand, alter the destiny of entire bloodlines, or shatter the boundaries between planes. Whether they manifest as God-chosen avatars, plane-walkers, high mythic champions, or veiled immortals, they are to be treated with the utmost deference. They are feared and worshipped in equal measure; to anger one is to invite geopolitical catastrophe.

Section VII: Tier 6 – The Cosmic
Official Status: Celestial-Class (CLASSIFIED)

Entities of boundless, cosmogenic nature. The Cosmic tier does not consist of mortal men who climbed the ranks, but rather ancient races and remnants of the first mana convergence. These are the Starlights and Dearth Primordials—beings that birthed the very realms and governed the fundamental laws of nature before our history even had words to record them. They are hidden from public records to prevent widespread panic.
Section VIII: Tier 7 – The Originum
Official Status: Primordial Source (CLASSIFIED)
Regulatory Directive: Immutable Universal Constants.
The absolute root of existence. To speak of the Originum is to speak of the beginning of creation itself. These beings do not use magic; they are magic, representing the root consciousness of the cosmos. Their existence defines or rewrites the very laws of mana. Within this ultimate, heavily guarded classification rest the anchors of our reality: Alyndra (The Threadcore), Lord Stagion, The First Weavers, and the beating pulse of The Loom Heart.
