Kel finished the revised curriculum on a Thursday.

Ten days from the corrected foundation to the complete document.

The fastest Kel had ever worked.

Not because the pressure was high — the pressure wasn't unusual. Because the correct foundation made the building go faster. The curriculum that had been resisting completion for months completing in ten days once the orientation was right.

The channel orientation, not the agent orientation.

Three simultaneous depths, not sequential stages.

The between-space as the participant in its own building, the practitioner as the channel through which the building runs.

He read it over two evenings.

Not quickly.

With the attention it deserved.

When he finished he sat at the kitchen table for a long time.

His mother came in.

"Done," she said.

"Yes," he said.

"Right," she said. Not a question.

"Yes," he said. "Right." He paused. "Not complete. Right."

She looked at him.

"The distinction," she said.
