Chapter 6 Mirror Flow's Redemption

Last night's passionate embrace seemed to have exhausted all our strength, yet it also forged an even deeper bond within our souls.

Lingsha's return finally put my heart at ease; the ecstatic joy and peace of regaining what was lost still resonates within me.

I woke up early the next morning as the first rays of sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains.

The space beside me was already empty; a faint aroma of food lingered around my nose, mingling with Lingsha's unique fragrance—a delicate aroma like morning lotus stamen mingled with rare medicinal herbs.

I got up and went to the dining room, and the scene before me made my breath catch in my throat.

Lingsha stood with her back to me, busy at the kitchen counter.

The gentle morning light outlined her shapely figure; her long, jet-black hair was loosely pinned up with a simple hairpin, revealing a graceful, pale neck.

What truly set my heart racing was that she was wearing nothing but a pure white apron.

The apron strings were tied in a delicate knot against her smooth, jade-like back. The white fabric perfectly concealed the intimate view from the front, yet her pert, rounded hips and the sides of her long, shapely legs—covered in fine red dragon scales—were laid bare without reservation in the morning light.

As she slightly turned to remove the steaming Xianzhou dim sum from the steamer, the contours of her full, soft breasts peeked through, radiating a breathtaking allure.

The air was thick with the aroma of food and her unique fragrance, weaving together into an ultimate sense of domestic warmth and romantic intimacy.

I sat down at the table just as she turned around, carrying several plates of exquisite breakfast.

Seeing me, a lovely blush rose on her fair cheeks. Her obsidian eyes flickered with shyness, yet held the tender smile of a newlywed wife: "Good morning, Trailblazer. Breakfast is ready."

"Good morning, Lingsha," I replied with a smile, my gaze involuntarily lingering on her body.

She seemed to sense the heat in my gaze, her cheeks flushing even more, but she didn't look away. Instead, she gracefully set the table for me, then sat down opposite me, resting her chin on one hand, watching me eat with a smile.

As I savored the delicious breakfast she had prepared—and I must admit, the culinary skills of the Alchemy Commission's Cauldron Master were truly extraordinary, light yet lingering in flavor—I openly admired the appetizing "scenery" before me.

Wearing only an apron was a tease that Kafka played with with ultimate seduction and Firefly with the charm of innocent contrast. But on Lingsha, it carried a peculiar, forbidden aesthetic—a blend of dignity and abandon. The sight of her faint dragon scales, in particular, added a touch of wildness and mystery.

The Vidyadhara clan would bestow such a treasure upon me as my wife… This happiness was so real it made me dizzy.

Just as I was savoring this rare morning filled with ambiguity and warmth, preparing to tease her with a few words—

"Ding -dong—Ding-dong— "

A crisp, slightly urgent doorbell rang out without warning, shattering the tranquility of the dining room.

"Ah!" Lingsha was clearly startled by the sudden sound. Her body trembled slightly, and two deeper blushes instantly rose to her face, carrying a hint of panic as if a secret had been exposed.

"Someone's here…" She glanced down at her apron instinctively, a hint of embarrassment in her eyes.

I smiled and pointed to a pale blue silk robe hanging on a coat rack nearby: "Put some clothes on first."

"Yes!" Responding as if granted a pardon, she hurried over, throwing the robe on with slightly frantic movements and tying the belt carefully, concealing that alluring view.

Although her movements were swift, her slightly trembling fingertips and reddened ears betrayed her inner turmoil.

"Who could be coming at this hour?" she asked softly, adjusting her collar, her voice tinged with confusion as she quickly regained the composure befitting the Cauldron Master of the Alchemy Commission.

"I don't know," I said, putting down my chopsticks and wiping my mouth with a napkin before standing up. "Let's go find out."

I walked over to her and naturally took her hand—the one covered in fine red scales, unique and cool to the touch.

Her hand paused slightly in my palm before relaxing, allowing me to hold it.

We walked side by side through the living room toward the heavy courtyard gate.

Our hands clasped together, carrying the lingering warmth of last night and a sense of security. But what changes would the unknown visitor outside the door bring to our newly settled life? My heart was filled with curiosity.

Holding Lingsha's cool hand, I wondered who the visitor might be.

Were they companions from the Astral Express? Or local administrators of Xianzhou? Or perhaps... Kafka and the others had returned?

Filled with curiosity, I pulled open the rather heavy courtyard door.

The sight outside the door made me freeze in place.

A woman stood outside the door.

Her figure was exceptionally graceful, her beauty unparalleled. Her flowing hair, seemingly spun from moonlight, swayed slightly in the breeze. Her eyes were a cold crimson, yet they seemed to hold endless frost and snow.

She was dressed in a blue and black martial attire that accentuated her imposing figure, radiating a chilling and sharp aura that seemed capable of freezing one's soul.

This was a beauty unlike any woman I had ever known—like an ice lotus atop a snowy peak: holy, aloof, and carrying a sense of distance that warned others not to approach. She was a true, celestial ice beauty.

I was certain I had never met her.

I have no memory of this stunning woman.

Who is she? Why is she here?

Just as I was wondering, Lingsha beside me took a soft breath. Her hand, which had been holding mine, tightened unconsciously slightly. Her tone was one of obvious respect mixed with a hint of nervousness as she bowed slightly.

"Master Jingliu? How could you..."

Mirror Flow?! Jingliu?!

The name exploded in my mind like a thunderclap! One of the Five High Cloud Quintet, the former Sword Champion of Luofu, that legendary figure?! She... she actually came here in person?

Jingliu's cold, crimson eyes first fell upon Lingsha. She seemed to show a flicker of surprise at seeing the Cauldron Master here, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared.

Immediately, her sharp, sword-like gaze locked firmly onto me, filled with scrutiny and inquiry, as if trying to see right through me.

An invisible pressure washed over me, making it almost impossible for me to breathe.

"You," she finally spoke, her voice cold and clear like shattering ice, devoid of any emotion, "are you that Stellaron brat capable of changing paths?"

Her question was direct and sharp, pointing directly to my greatest secret.

Facing this legendary Sword Champion, my heart skipped a beat, but I nodded honestly and instinctively.
