Chapter 78 - chapter 78

The air in the kitchen shimmered for a split second, a soft golden light coalescing between Agung's fingers. With a faint *clink*, a sleek, obsidian-black credit card materialized. It had no bank logo, only a series of complex, glowing geometric patterns that pulsed like a heartbeat.

He reached out and gently pressed the card into Kanata's trembling hand.

"Kanata-chan," Agung said, his voice grounding and firm. "The limit on this doesn't exist. It's tied to that 'non-lessening' balance the operator gave me. You could buy the entire prefecture of Shizuoka, and the balance wouldn't even flinch."

Kanata stared down at the card, her eyes wide. The weight of it felt impossible.

"By my count, it's been about six years since you graduated from Nijigasaki, right?"

Agung continued, his eyes softening as he did the math. "That means Haruka... she's probably just finished high school. Maybe she even followed in your footsteps and graduated from Nijigasaki herself."

He placed his hand over Kanata's, closing her fingers around the card.

"No more part-time shifts at the convenience store. No more skipping meals so Haruka can have the better bento. Use this for everything. Pay off every single yen of your family's debt. Pay for Haruka's college tuition—anywhere in the world she wants to go. Buy a house where you don't have to worry about the roof leaking when it rains."

The rest of the girls stood in stunned silence. Mari, who usually handled the "money solves everything" role, looked on with a mixture of respect and a strange sense of relief. She knew that no matter how much the Ohara family helped, it wasn't the same as it coming from *him*.

"Agung-kun..." Kanata whispered, a single tear finally escaping and tracing a path down her cheek. "I... I don't know how to say thank you."

"Don't thank me yet," Agung said, his "Panda" smile returning just a little to lighten the mood. "You still have to introduce me to Kureha-chan later. And fair warning—if she's anything like you, she's probably going to want to nap through my entire explanation of how I'm a time-traveling billionaire."

Kanata let out a watery, genuine giggle, clutching the card to her chest. For the first time in three years, the deep, dark circles under her eyes seemed to lighten.

"She is exactly like me," Kanata admitted, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "She's a champion sleeper."

"Perfect," Agung nodded, turning back to the stove. "Then she and I will get along just fine. Now, everyone! The miso is at a perfect simmer. If I see anyone standing around crying instead of eating, I'm taking the Swiss chocolate back!"

"You wouldn't dare!" Nico yelled, though she was already grabbing the stacks of bowls with a renewed, lighter energy.

As the sun fully rose over Numazu, the "Panda" of Room 4 had officially started his first day of work—not as a god or a street sweeper, but as the man who was finally, slowly, putting a broken family back together.
