[This chapter serves primarily as the summarised version of the workings of the verse. While the information may or may not be revealed later in the future, I put it here for ease of access. Major spoilers warning]
Erd-cells.
This serves as the main power source for all people with power in this world. Erd-cells cannot be used in their pure form, as their bodies quite literally reject the users from accessing their pure power.
Forcing the use of this leads to a situation known as Erd Blight, a process that brutally turns someone into one of the hundreds of Erd-monsters.
As such, the body refines the Erd-cells into various other energy types. These are all based on what aspect of the body the Erd-cells "graft" themselves onto:
Viscorporis:The physicality. The Erd-cells graft themselves onto the physical 'self', granting them powers and skills tied to their physical form.
Arcanistus:The spirit. The Erd-cells graft themselves onto the spiritual(soul) 'self', granting them powers and skills tied to the soul/spiritual plane.
Mentis:The mind. The Erd-cells graft themselves onto the mental 'self', granting them powers and skills tied to the mind/mental plane. The grafting process can be altered through severe trauma to the user, granting them intense power through trading an aspect of the mind to the Realm of "El".
Danutu:The "existence". The Erd-cells graft themselves onto every possible aspect of the user, granting them skills and power that are an effective combination off all other energy types. The closest to pure Erd-cells.
Mahe:The "object". The residual Erd-cells graft themselves onto the minerals in the planet, creating various magical minerals, materials, e.t.c
When a person awakens the Erd-cells in their bodies, a unique Erd-mark is formed on a random part of their bodies, which they have no control over. It can only be influenced by certain genetical factors
Erd-monsters.
They're the main monsters of the verse, each of them grouped according to tiers and types across the various realms and areas they reside in.
Types:There are a vast finite typings for Erd monsters, grouped according to magic affinity, specific races, unique genetical characteristics, behavioral patterns, age, e.t.c. {A scholar remarked that if you think a certain type of Erd-monster doesn't exist yet, that could be your own subconscious mind showing you that it actually does exist. It just hasn't been found yet.}
Tiers:The more common type of classification for Erd-monsters, grouping them according to sheer power instead of their unique physical and non-physical traits. (The below tiers are listed in ascending order)
Remnants:(Tier 0)The remains of something an Erd-monster. Despite being generally considered the weakest tier, the Erd-monsters in this rank are highly unpredictable as, on most occasions, the remnant's source is impossible to determine. They also have terrifying potential to rapidly jump towards higher tiers abruptly. Their only weakness is that, due to their status as being "remains", they are of considerably low intelligence and act purely on instinct...on most occasions.
Spawned:(Tier 1)They are the more common type of Erd-monsters found in various realms. Pose close to no danger, as their power is weak and their intelligence is only slightly more advanced, allowing for basic functions on the most basic slate. Most of them are fixed like this, so the possibility of evolution is rare for these creatures, if not nearly impossible.
Blighted:(Tier 2)At this stage, Erd-monsters gain any power or skill common to all up to tier 4. They gain a boost in intelligence, allowing them to properly utilise their abilities. From there, their own unique power can manifest at any time. The earlier it manifests, the stronger it'll be in their later evolution stages. The unique power they get at the fourth tier is also heavily dependent on how the Erd-monster uses the power in this second stage.
Enlightened:(Tier 3)The Erd-monster gets a significant boost in power that can be affected based on their class. At this point of time, the Erd-monsters have gained full sentience and are fully aware. Aside from that, nothing really happens.
Anomalor:(Tier 4)The Erd-monster gains an innate ability based on how they used their power in earlier tiers. This ability is fully unique to them, and is also pre-determined by their personality and the main method they used to advance to this tier. The ability is guaranteed to be one that will help the Erd-monster fully realise whatever goals it had set for itself, provided it is not eliminated beforehand.
Vishap:(Tier 5)The Erd-monster refines it's abilities and power to a point where they become truly one with the power, fully integrating it/them into their kit. At this point, their connection to the Erd-realm is strengthened if their class(based on closeness to the Erd-realm) wasn't as tied to it as before.
Nocturns(Tier 6):In this tier, Erd-monsters of weak mental and spiritual fortitude become puppets of [REDACTED]. If the Erd-monster isn't weak-willed, they combine with an unknown and random part of the Erd-realm, gaining part of its existence and assimilating it into themselves.
True beast:(Tier 7)The Erd-monster fully becomes one with the part of the Erd-realm assigned to them, gaining full dominion over that specific aspect of the dimension. They also gain the power to manifest said portion of that dimension into whichever reality they're in.
Realm-striders:(Tier 8)They are gifted by the Erd-realm itself, allowing them to ascend to true, depraved divinity. They are essentially gods in this tier.
Primordial:(Tier 9)To get to this tier, they must fulfil two conditions. One is completely random(based on ), and the other is to essentially 'anchor its existence to the first second of time'
