Chapter 316 - Heavenly Cloud Phoenix Radiance

Looking at the Grade Nine Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell hurtling toward them from the distance with World-destroying momentum, Huo Yuhao took a deep breath, the air in his chest feeling heavy and viscous.

His expression was more solemn than ever. With his current cultivation at the Spirit Saint level, even if he risked all of his trump cards, it would be absolutely impossible to block this strike.

"Teacher, I must trouble you to take action again."

Huo Yuhao's voice echoed in his Spiritual Sea. He couldn't stop a Grade Nine Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell, but the Holy Necromancer definitely could.

Electrolux was an existence who had almost become a god. Even though only a wisp of his remnant soul now resided in Huo Yuhao's Spiritual Sea, his methods and foundation were by no means comparable to those of an ordinary Titled Douluo.

As Huo Yuhao's voice echoed through the Spiritual Sea, all of his Spirit Souls also took on solemn expressions.

These Spirit Souls had long shared life and death with Huo Yuhao; they rose and fell together, sharing both glory and ruin.

Electrolux's figure slowly emerged from the depths of the Spiritual Sea. His face was majestic and calm, still possessing that steady demeanor of remaining unfazed even if Mount Tai collapsed before him.

However, this time, he did not immediately take over Huo Yuhao's body without a word as he had on Devil Island.

A faint smile actually appeared on his aged face. "It seems this old man won't need to take action this time."

Just as Huo Yuhao was still wondering what his teacher meant, his mental force at the Spirit Domain Realm captured a figure hurtling over from the distant horizon at an unimaginable speed.

It was a streak of platinum-gold light. One moment it was far away, and the next, it vanished abruptly from Huo Yuhao's vision as if it had bypassed the barriers of space.

Immediately after, the streak of light appeared directly in front of him without any warning, hovering steadily in midair, shielding him from the Grade Nine Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell.

This figure was completely covered in a magnificent set of platinum-gold battle armor. Each piece of plating fit her body in a streamlined manner; the armor's edges were sharp as blades yet elegant, and its surface was dotted with countless pale blue flame patterns.

A pair of massive wings of light spread out behind her. They were not physical but condensed from pure platinum-gold flames. With a gentle flap of her wings, a shower of spark-like light points fell, brightening the dim sky around them.

Clearly, this was a set of Four-Word Battle Armor, making the newcomer a Four-Word Battle Armor Master. Huo Yuhao was all too familiar with this particular set of armor.

"Aunt Leng?!"

There was an unconcealed pleasant surprise in Huo Yuhao's voice. His nerves, which had been tightly strung ever since the battle began, finally relaxed slightly the moment he recognized this figure.

This set of Four-Word Battle Armor, named "Heavenly Cloud Phoenix Radiance," belonged precisely to the Vice Tower Master of the Spirit Pagoda, the Heavenly Phoenix Douluo, Leng Yaozhu.

Leng Yaozhu did not reply, nor did she even look back at Huo Yuhao behind her.

Behind her faceguard, her narrow, sharp phoenix eyes were completely locked onto the Grade Nine Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell that was already close at hand.

She raised her right hand and gently clenched her slender fingers in the air. A highly condensed wisp of platinum-gold flame suddenly flew from her palm, pouncing like a Fire Phoenix spreading its wings and accurately striking the high-speed incoming shell.

Under her control, the Heavenly Phoenix True Fire was unbelievably gentle, wrapping layer upon layer around the Grade Nine shell that was powerful enough to level half a city.

The temperature of the flame was controlled perfectly, surprisingly failing to directly detonate the spirit cannon shell.

Then, a subtle spatial ripple, barely perceptible to ordinary people, rippled from before her. The Grade Nine Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell wrapped in platinum-gold flame abruptly vanished into thin air.

Almost at the same instant, a World-shaking, violent explosion suddenly erupted from a wasteland below in the distance that had already been flattened by previous bombardments.

A massive mushroom cloud rose into the sky. Rolling fire and thick smoke, carrying a World-destroying shockwave, spread frantically in all directions, turning the already ruined landscape into an even more unrecognizable mess.

Even from such a great distance, Huo Yuhao could still feel the scorching heatwave rushing at his face.

The power of a Grade Nine Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell was just that terrifying. Even a Limit Douluo like Leng Yaozhu did not dare to withstand it head-on, and could only use spatial methods to transfer it to the lifeless "empty ground" below to detonate.

After this explosion ended, the sky finally became completely quiet. No new spirit cannon shells came, and only the lingering gunpowder smoke and scorched smell still drifted in the air.

This attack by the Holy Spirit Cult seemed to have finally officially ended.

The magnificent platinum-gold Four-Word Battle Armor on Leng Yaozhu's body slowly retracted into her. She returned to her usual cold and noble appearance, though her brow was a bit more solemn than usual.

She turned around, her gaze quickly sweeping over Huo Yuhao from head to toe. After confirming he was fine, the tension deep in her eyes quietly dissipated a bit.

But she still asked, "Are you alright?"

Not long ago, Shrek Academy had suddenly come under attack, which naturally drew all of Leng Yaozhu's attention immediately.

Even with Leng Yaozhu's experience and Heart-Nature, her pupils couldn't help but contract when she saw the scene of Shrek Academy being bombarded by spirit cannon shells.

She had never expected the Holy Spirit Cult to be so bold as to launch a direct attack of this scale against Shrek Academy.

But when those two Grade Twelve Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shells tore through the clouds and descended from the sky, Leng Yaozhu's face changed completely.

She naturally knew what a Grade Twelve Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell was. This ultimate god-killing weapon had been sealed in the Federation's most core secret arsenal ever since it was manufactured thousands of years ago. It was jointly supervised by the Federal Parliament and the Sea God Pavilion, and theoretically, no single party could deploy it alone.

For the Holy Spirit Cult to get their hands on two of them and deploy them inside Shrek City through secret channels, there must have been high-ranking members of the Federation involved, and certainly more than just one or two people.

At that moment, Leng Yaozhu had almost crushed the teacup in her hand. She knew both Huo Yuhao and Gu Yue were in Shrek Academy, but the academy's spirit barrier and the Golden Tree's protective barrier had been fully activated at the very first moment of the attack, isolating the entire academy from the outside World as if they were two separate Worlds.

A defensive barrier of that level was something even a Limit Douluo like her could not break through by force in a short time. Thus, she could only stand before the huge French window of the Spirit Pagoda Headquarters, watching helplessly.

Watching Shrek Academy turn into scorched earth under the wild bombardment of spirit cannon shells, watching those familiar buildings collapse with a crash in the explosions, watching Yun Ming's figure, which was like a pillar holding up the sky, burst with his final light in the air and then quietly dissipate...

Her fingers gripped the window frame tightly, veins faintly bulging on the back of her hand. Her originally cold face had, at some point, been overcome by a trace of sorrow.

When the protective barrier finally disappeared and the overwhelming sounds of explosions gradually died down, Leng Yaozhu did not hesitate for a second. She instantly donned her Four-Word Battle Armor and transformed into a streak of platinum-gold light, tearing through the sky and racing toward Shrek Academy at her fastest speed.

This led to the scene just now, where she appeared in front of Huo Yuhao in the nick of time and used spatial methods to transfer the Grade Nine Fixed-Mount Soul-Guided Shell away.

Meeting Leng Yaozhu's deeply concerned gaze, Huo Yuhao shook his head gently to indicate he was fine.

Leng Yaozhu said no more. She simply nodded slightly and slowly descended from midair with Huo Yuhao, stepping once again onto the devastated, scorched earth of Sea God Island.

She glanced over Gu Yue and the others standing in the ruins. After confirming none of them had suffered any substantial harm, the tense look deep in her eyes relaxed slightly.

Without any unnecessary pleasantries, she said straightforwardly, "Let's leave here first."

As her voice fell, everyone felt the surrounding space blur violently. After their vision suddenly swam, they found they were no longer on that wasteland but had appeared inside a clean and tidy room.

Almost simultaneously, the six of them turned their heads to look out the window. They saw countless plumes of thick smoke rising from the ground, winding up into the sky like twisted black pythons, dyeing the entire sky an oppressive grayish-black.

Not far away, the once bustling Shrek City, filled with shops, had now mostly turned into a shocking expanse of ruins.

Their current position was extremely high, giving them a view that could almost overlook the entire city.

Without a doubt, this was the tallest building in Shrek City—the Spirit Pagoda Headquarters.

"Rest well here first, and don't run around."

After Leng Yaozhu finished speaking, she turned and left in a hurry, a trace of coldness and determination in her narrow phoenix eyes that Huo Yuhao had never seen before.
