"So we meet again," Kenpachi grinned, battle lust already flickering in his eyes.
"Kenpachi Zaraki… after all this time, you're still the same," Unohana said gently, not taking his provocation to heart at all.
"Captain Unohana, please take care of us," Yachiru said, flashing two fingers in a cute little pose.
"Enough reminiscing," Ren Kuro said, pointing toward Law, who still lay collapsed nearby. "Lady Unohana, I need to ask you for something."
"What illness does he have?" Unohana asked, following Ren Kuro's gaze. She had already noticed the pale blotches of disease on Law's skin.
"Amber Lead Syndrome. It's supposed to be extremely difficult to cure," Ren Kuro said with a faint smile. "But for you, Lady Unohana, it should be a trivial matter."
"No problem."
After observing him for a brief moment, Unohana gave a small nod.
"So Law can really be saved?! That's wonderful!" Rosinante burst into tears of joy again, his eyes brimming over. In that instant he threw aside all suspicion—what remained was only pure, overwhelming gratitude.
"How long will the treatment take?" he asked excitedly through tears.
"A treatment?" Ren Kuro gave a light chuckle. "That won't be necessary. All she has to do is purge the toxins from his body with healing arts. The whole process should only take a few seconds."
"What?! Did I hear that right?" Rosinante stood there dumbstruck, his eyes almost popping out of his head.
Amber Lead Syndrome had destroyed Flevance and been treated as a hopeless death sentence.
