The black feathery wings of Ironhoof beat steadily against the air as King guided the Pegasus down toward the entrance of the main base.
From his vantage point, King easily spotted Triple T standing on the pavement below, his distinct afro making him stand out clearly from the crowd of fourteen prospects gathered around him.
Nearby, Mr. Eli stood with Maya, keeping a watchful eye on the new arrivals. As the mount touched down smoothly on the concrete, both Triple T and Eli walked over to receive King.
King dismounted, offering a steadying hand to Vi as she stepped down beside him. He walked past the front line of recruits, leaning in slightly toward Eli."Hope there's no problem," King whispered.
"All is well," Eli replied quietly, giving a reassuring nod. "They've been orderly."
King turned his full attention to the fourteen prospects. He stepped forward, his posture straight, and addressed them with a calm, formal tone.
