After Jeremy got the memories of his current body, he began to gradually master everything that his body had already learned prior to his transmigration.
He also became much aware of the mana's presence in his body now and couldn't help but get excited at the fact that he could really use magic.
During the event of obtaining his body's memories, Jeremy didn't just gain these memories… he lived them.
He didn't just see someone who looks like him doing things, instead, he vividly felt the emotions and clearly experienced all the five senses his current body had previously experienced in each situation in those memories… as if they were his own recollection themselves.
Jeremy sighed in amazement upon realizing how wonderful Jeremiah de Thorne is.
And he sighed even more upon realizing that he was now the wonderful Jeremiah de Thorne.
Aside from being a nobleman's son, he possesses a very great talent in magic.
Satisfied with his current identity, he took a piece of paper and began writing on it.
Jude, I'm going out for a moment. I'll come back before dinner.
He then placed the paper on the table, making sure that its position is conspicuous enough for his butler to notice.
This is the third day from his transmigration, and he decided to go to the secret hideout he peeked at in his body's memories.
"Alright! Time to go~"
He excitedly muttered as he stood up and walked toward the center of his room.
He wore a hooded cloak and on his shoulder, he carried a small magic bag which he used to hold some magic-related books and other necessary items for his outside trip today.
At this moment, he grabbed a gold scroll from the magic bag and stared at it for a while.
It is a teleportation scroll that activates by tearing it apart while the user visualizes the place he wants to go to in his mind.
Jeremy carefully unfolded the scroll, gradually revealing a vortex-like symbol at the very center of the parchment.
The vortex was engulfed by a circular frame that was embedded with 12 distinct, highly angular runes which were evenly spaced to form a perfect clock-like circle.
Searching from his body's previous memories, Jeremy learned how to use it.
'Oh~ so I just need to tear it apart.'
Jeremy nodded his head in understanding and prepared himself.
He then began to tear the teleportation scroll as he thought of the secret hideout that the original Jeremiah de Thorne frequently went to.
After the scroll was torn down, a magic teleportation circle similar to the one drawn on the scroll quickly formed and glowed beneath Jeremy's feet.
Jeremy appreciated the beautiful glow of the golden light… but that didn't last long as he suddenly felt himself being warped away gently.
"Woww~"
A gasp of soft admiration escaped from his mouth as a comforting presence surrounded his body along with the light.
Then a second later, he vanishes from inside his room along with the disappearing magic teleportation circle.
The process of teleporting was a satisfying experience for Jeremy.
In contrast with the ones he read before, where the user will feel nauseous or slightly sick during and after teleporting, Jeremy was feeling comfortable in the whole process of his teleportation.
'Damn, this is amazing.'
Jeremy inwardly commented.
After a while, Jeremy slowly opened his eyes to a large room full of books, colored scrolls, bottles with colored liquids in it, and piles of papers.
"Wow, so this is your secret hideout."
He murmured to himself as he stroll around the room, carefully observing the advanced-level books on the bookshelves, the different kinds of potions on another shelf, magic scrolls with different kinds of functions placed on another shelf, and research papers containing the writer's own observations, experiences, assumptions, and conclusions about magic.
He was completely mesmerized by the content of the room and can't help but feel certain emotions building up inside him for the original Jeremiah de Thorne.
Awe…
Respect…
Admiration…
He can't help but look around the room that resembles a mad scientist's research lab with amazement.
But of course, he knew to himself that the original Jeremiah de Thorne was no mad scientist.
"Hmm?"
Jeremy muttered as he looked at a piece of paper scattered on a floor that has a hand-drawn magic circle on it along with notes on its advantages, disadvantages, and how to improve it.
'A magic teleportation circle?'
Jeremy thought as he stared at the paper, noting that it was the same magic circle he saw on the teleportation scroll that he used earlier.
"The magic circle, developed by the magic tower master, is easy to use because the user only needs to tear the paper while visualizing the place he needs to go. But the magic circle has no protection spell for users against the terrible conditions of the warping process, which may lead to some users feeling sick or nauseous during and after being teleported."
Jeremy read the advantages and disadvantages written on the paper, and immediately understood.
He was fine when using the magic circle, but that doesn't mean that everybody is fine when using it.
'Hmm, so some people feel uncomfortable when using this magic teleportation circle.'
Jeremy thought, then a flashback hit him.
It was during his first day of transmigration, when they used a teleportation portal to come to the empire's capital from their main residence, the Duchy of Thorne.
'Did my father and Jude feel bad back then?'
Despite his recollection of their fine expressions, he can't help but feel worried.
"Apart from this magic circle, there is no other version of magic circle for teleportation that exists in this empire or even in any part of this world."
He thoughtfully whispered to himself.
If his memories served him right, this is the only version of magic teleportation circle that exists in this world.
This magic circle is embedded in teleportation portals and scrolls used by almost everyone who doesn't want to spend several days travelling on a road.
Mages who can't find teleportation portals and can't afford scrolls, use their own mana to produce this magic circle to teleport somewhere.
But, there are also few mages who prefer using the scroll or teleportation portal to get somewhere than spend their own mana, when the effect and feeling of teleporting is just the same.
Jeremiah de Thorne is one of them, and it is evident on the numbers of teleportation scrolls he possessed inside his magic bag and on the shelves of this room.
As Jeremy worried whether his loved ones would get uncomfortable when they used the only existing magic teleportation circle, he continued to read the notes of Jeremiah de Thorne then moved to the next paper.
He fell silent for a moment to absorb its content in his brain.
Then a thought came to his mind as he studied it.
'This is… perfect.'
The paper contains a magic circle for teleportation, but it is slightly different than the one he saw before.
The newly made magic circle still has the original magic circle, but there were a lot of additional spells added now.
With the vortex-like symbol at the center then framed by a circular band embedded with angular runes, it was now added with layer after layer of spells for the user's protection and comfort, distance coordination, and the size of the teleportation circle.
The added protective spells surrounded the vortex symbol and the circular frame or runes like several orbits encircling one planet.
"A capable mage can modify the number and the type of spells for protection, distance, and the size of the magic circle."
Jeremy read aloud the written explanation underneath the newly made magic circle.
Compared to the earlier version of magic circle he had seen, this version is a lot better.
After all, the magic circle that was created by the tower master can't be modified or else it won't activate.
Several high-ranking mages have already tried adjusting it before, but no matter what their methods were, they all failed.
But this one right now, in his hands, is a modified version of the tower master's magic circle, carefully designed to serve for the user's convenience.
Below all the other text, were two lines of sentences.
Testing is completed. All desired results were successfully achieved.
Those lines made Jeremy's lips curved in happiness.
"What a genius."
Jeremy praised the original Jeremiah de Thorne while appreciating the hand-drawn magic circle.
He also took a moment to recall all of his body's past sensations when creating this new magic circle.
From the very beginning of its creation, its process, up to its final testing.
"How amazing…"
After muttering that, he couldn't help but feel more proud and amazed of the original Jeremiah de Thorne.
To be able to successfully modify the magic circle that the tower master created when no other mages could do it is such a great achievement for an aspiring mage.
After a long time of admiring the newly made magic circle, a sense of disappointment occurred at the bottom of his heart.
'Such an intelligent person, I couldn't meet him.'
If there is one thing that Jeremy truly likes about a person, it is when they possess a high level of intelligence.
Not just an ordinary smart person, but a real genius individual that can amaze the already amazing people.
And Jeremiah de Thorne is the third person he discovered that fits this criteria.
But it was too late right now, after all, nobody knows where the original Jeremiah de Thorne went after Jeremy transmigrated.
"Huuuu."
Jeremy sighed in dismay.
He truly wanted to meet him and be friends with him.
After a minute of feeling down, he took the paper with the new version of magic teleportation circle.
He wants to try producing the magic circle himself.
This will be his first time trying to manipulate mana himself, so he adjusted his mood before beginning.
Relying on his memories of how this body did it before, Jeremy gradually controlled his mana and started producing a glowing magic circle from his outstretched hand.
He excitedly admired it for several seconds, carefully looking at how the added spells of protection and comfort, distance coordination, and the size manipulation orbited around the circular band of runes that framed the vortex at the center.
The protection and comfort spell orbit was engraved with physical resistance against heavy air pressure and warping motion sickness enchantments.
The distance coordination spell was engraved with enchantment that will make the user be able to go to the place they are currently thinking or visualing in their minds.
And the size manipulation spell was engraved with only ten people allowed to use the magic teleportation circle.
However, these three orbits of spells are adjustable.
Like, if a user has not yet been to that place that he wants to go, all he just needs to do is modify the distance coordination spell and engrave it with the coordinate or the location that he wants to end up at.
Or if twenty people need to be teleported at the same time in the same magic circle, all they need to do is slightly change the size manipulation spell to accommodate their numbers.
The same goes if they want to alter the enchantments in the protection and comfort spell to their preferred protective enchantments.
Finished in admiring the circular motions of the spells' orbits without changing anything from it, Jeremy followed his memories and activated it.
He thought of his bedroom in the ducal residence located at the empire's capital.
The glowing magic circle fluidly went from his outstretched hand down towards his feet, enveloping his body with a golden light before he was teleported right back to his room.
Then…
"Huh?"
Jeremy made a bewildered sound as soon as he opened his eyes.
Then, he stared blankly at what's in front.
In front of him is his bed… that's not surprising.
But someone was currently lying on his bed… not his father, not one of his brothers, not his innocent butler...
It's someone he has not yet encountered since his transmigration.
That someone... was currently lying asleep with no care to the world on Jeremy's bed.
'What is this?'
Jeremy was totally puzzled right now.
