The humiliating thought alone made her lower her head in embarrassment. She was the proud daughter of House Eythrox, and yet somehow, ever since entering this private room with him, she seemed to be doing nothing except making a fool of herself.
Taking a quiet breath, Aria finally raised her head once more. Her emerald eyes were filled with determination and focus. Unfortunately, her face remained flushed.
"Sir Aezaleon, I don't think I'll be able to accompany you any longer," she spoke as calmly as she could while muting the stream of notifications pouring into her runeweave bracelet. Her three classmates were apparently waiting outside the establishment and had already begun bombarding her with impatient messages. "Something urgent has come up, and I need to leave immediately."
"Hm." Aezaleon's smile remained unchanged. "That summons is from the academy, isn't it?"
Aria's emerald eyes widened. "H-How do you know that?"
