Rias slowly reached out and picked up the black folder from the coffee table.
She opened it and began to read the pages.
Her eyes widened. The documents were incredibly detailed.
They had exact dates, secret locations, and the sick, twisted notes of the evil master. It was absolute proof.
"This is real,"
Rias whispered, looking up at everyone.
"This changes everything. I need to call Grayfia."
Rias quickly raised her hand and created a glowing silver magic circle.
She contacted Grayfia Lucifuge, the strongest maid and the wife of the Devil King Sirzechs.
Just a few moments later, a silver light flashed in the living room.
Grayfia appeared, wearing her perfect maid uniform. Her face was strict and completely serious.
Grayfia took the folder from Rias.
She quickly read through the evidence.
"This is very solid proof, Lady Rias,"
Grayfia nodded, closing the folder carefully.
"I will take these documents directly to Lord Sirzechs tonight. We will begin investigating these secret labs immediately to clear her name."
"And I will make sure it becomes official,"
Elias added from the couch. He looked right at Grayfia.
"When the three leaders come here for the peace treaty summit, I am going to talk about this matter personally. I will make sure they completely cancel the bounty on her head. No one is going to hunt her for a reward ever again."
Grayfia looked at Elias and gave him a deep, respectful bow.
She knew that if Elias spoke at the summit, the leaders would listen.
With a flash of silver light, Grayfia teleported away to deliver the news.
Kuroka let out a shaky breath. She couldn't believe it. She was finally going to be free.
She turned her golden eyes toward the couch.
She looked at her little sister, who was still resting safely on Elias's lap.
"Shirone..."
Kuroka whispered softly, taking a small, hopeful step forward.
She just wanted to hug her little sister so badly.
But Koneko slightly flinched.
Koneko didn't hate her, but her mind was still too confused.
For so many years, she had believed a terrible lie.
Finding out the truth in just five minutes was too much for her heart to accept all at once.
She wasn't ready.
Koneko squeezed her eyes shut and hugged Elias's shirt even tighter, hiding her face in his chest.
Kuroka stopped. A sad smile appeared on her face. She understood.
Her little sister needed time to heal.
"You don't have to leave, Kuroka,"
Rias said gently, showing true kindness as a leader.
"The mansion is very big. You are welcome to stay here with us until everything is sorted out."
Kuroka looked at Rias with deep surprise.
She opened her mouth to say thank you, but suddenly, a small, golden magic circle appeared right next to her cat ear.
A playful, energetic voice spoke through the magic. It was Sun Wukong, the Monkey King.
"Hey, kitty cat!"
The voice laughed.
"Time to go! We need to move on to the next part of the plan!"
Kuroka sighed softly and let the golden circle fade away.
She looked back at Rias and shook her head.
"Thank you for the offer, nya,"
Kuroka said politely.
"But I have to deal with some important business first. I am working with some people, and I need to finish my job with them. But I promise... I will come back."
Before she left, Kuroka walked over to the couch.
She looked down at Elias, who was still gently holding her little sister.
Kuroka placed her hands on her knees and gave Elias a very deep, sincere bow.
"Thank you, Elias,"
Kuroka whispered, her voice full of pure, honest gratitude.
"Thank you for being so strong. And thank you for saving my Shirone."
Elias just gave her a warm, understanding nod.
Kuroka smiled one last time.
Then, with a quiet swish of her black tail, she turned around and walked out the front door, disappearing into the dark night.
After the front door softly clicked shut, the living room was quiet again.
Dee walked over to the couch. She smiled her gentle, sweet smile and sat down right next to Elias.
She reached out her pale hand and gently patted Koneko's white hair.
"It is okay now,"
Dee whispered softly.
"You don't have to hide who you really are in this house. You are completely safe here."
Hearing those kind words, Koneko took a deep breath. She finally relaxed completely.
*Poof!*
Suddenly, two fluffy white cat ears popped out from the top of Koneko's head.
A small white tail appeared behind her, curling shyly.
For years, Koneko had hidden her cat features because they reminded her of her sister and her painful past.
But the heavy burden was gone. She didn't need to hide anymore.
Dee's endless dark eyes sparkled with pure joy.
"Oh my goodness,"
Dee giggled happily, gently rubbing Koneko's soft ears.
"You are super cute!"
Koneko blushed a deep red. She hid her face in Elias's shirt again, which made Elias chuckle warmly.
Time flew by quickly after that night.
Things were very peaceful and happy in the giant mansion.
Kuroka kept her promise. She came back to visit the house from time to time.
At first, Koneko was still very quiet and shy around her big sister.
But Kuroka was very patient. She brought Koneko sweet snacks and just sat quietly with her.
Slowly, the heavy ice in Koneko's heart began to melt.
She started to open up and talk to Kuroka again.
They shared stories and smiled.
The broken sisters were finally healing.
Everyone knew that the big peace treaty summit between the Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels was going to happen in just a few months.
Elias was getting ready for his role in the Central seat.
But one lazy Saturday afternoon, Dee had a completely different plan.
Dee was sitting on the living room floor, happily eating a bag of potato chips while watching TV.
Elias was sitting on the couch behind her, reading a book.
On the TV screen, there was a travel show about Kyoto.
It showed beautiful red shrines, peaceful bamboo forests, and delicious street food.
Dee suddenly sat up straight. Her eyes went wide.
"Eli!"
Dee called out loudly, pointing at the TV screen.
"Look at that! It looks so pretty!"
Elias put his book down and looked at the screen.
"That is Kyoto,"
Elias explained with a smile.
"It is a very famous, historic city. It has a lot of old magic and beautiful sights."
Dee turned around and grabbed his hand. She looked up at him with big, pleading eyes.
"I want to go there,"
Dee said, her voice filled with pure excitement.
"I want to go to Kyoto. Just the two of us. We have been so busy dealing with Devils and Fallen Angels and magic politics. I want a break."
She squeezed his hand, pouting her lips slightly.
"I want to go play around, eat all that yummy food, and go on a romantic trip with my boyfriend alone. Please? Can we go?"
Elias looked at her bright, happy face. He could never say no to her.
"Alright,"
Elias laughed softly, gently squeezing her hand back.
"Let's pack our bags. We are going to Kyoto."
The next morning, Elias and Dee stood by the front door with their bags packed.
Rias and Akeno came to say goodbye.
"Are you sure you guys don't want to come with us?"
Elias asked politely.
"The hotel in Kyoto has plenty of rooms."
Rias smiled warmly and shook her head.
"No, Elias,"
Rias answered gently.
"Dee asked for a romantic trip with her boyfriend alone. We understand perfectly. You two have done so much for us lately. You deserve to have this special time just for yourselves."
Akeno giggled, covering her smile with her hand.
"Exactly,"
Akeno teased playfully.
"Don't worry about us at all. Just focus on your cute girlfriend and have lots of fun. Take plenty of pictures for us!"
Dee beamed with happiness. She ran over and gave both Rias and Akeno a quick, tight hug.
Both of them were Elias's girlfriends as well. But they understood.
"Thank you!"
Dee cheered.
Then, she grabbed Elias's hand and pulled him out the door.
A few hours later, Elias and Dee were sitting side-by-side on a very fast bullet train heading straight to Kyoto.
The train was smooth and quiet.
Dee was having the time of her life.
She looked out the large window with wide, excited eyes, watching the green mountains and small towns blur past them.
She opened a box of strawberry Pocky and happily munched on the sweet snacks.
"The trees are moving so fast!"
Dee laughed, holding out a Pocky stick for Elias.
Elias leaned over, took a bite of the candy, and smiled.
"It is a bullet train, Dee,"
Elias explained, his voice full of warmth.
"It travels at incredible speeds. It will get us to Kyoto in no time."
"I love human inventions,"
Dee smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"They are so clever."
Elias wrapped his arm around her. It felt incredibly nice to just relax like normal people.
But suddenly, Elias narrowed his eyes slightly.
His sharp senses picked up a very strange energy inside the train car.
It didn't feel like the dark magic of a Devil, and it didn't feel like the holy light of an Angel.
It felt old, wild, and closer to nature.
Elias looked across the aisle.
He saw a businessman in a suit reading a newspaper. He looked completely normal.
But when Elias focused his eyes, he saw through the magical illusion.
Behind the man, a faint, ghostly fox tail was swaying gently.
Elias looked a few rows down. An old woman was quietly knitting a sweater.
But to Elias's eyes, she had tiny, magical bird feathers poking out of her grey hair.
"Yokai,"
Elias whispered softly, leaning his head closer to Dee.
Dee stopped chewing on her Pocky and looked around the train car.
Her endless dark eyes saw through all the illusions instantly.
"Oh, you are right,"
Dee whispered back, her eyes shining with curiosity.
"Japanese spirits. There are quite a few of them on this train. They are hiding right in the middle of all these normal humans."
Dee looked up at Elias.
"They are very close to us,"
Dee pointed out quietly.
"Do you want to do anything about them? Should we say hello?"
Elias looked at the businessman and the old woman. They weren't causing any trouble. They were just sitting quietly, minding their own business.
Elias slowly shook his head and relaxed back into his seat.
"No,"
Elias answered simply.
"We should just leave them alone."
"Why?"
Dee asked, tilting her head.
"They are supernatural creatures living in the human world,"
Elias explained, his voice calm and fair.
"But they aren't hurting anyone. They are just taking a peaceful train ride, exactly like we are. They just want to live their lives without any trouble. There is no reason to disturb them."
Dee smiled brightly.
She loved how kind and understanding he was.
He had the power to crush anything in the world, but he only used it when someone was actually doing something evil.
"You are a very good guy, Eli,"
Dee whispered happily.
She snuggled closer to him, wrapping both her arms around his arm.
She closed her eyes, completely content.
"And you are my favorite travel partner,"
Elias chuckled softly, resting his head against hers.
"Let's just enjoy the ride."
