The corners of Holly Wyatt's lips curved up, her eyes forming crescents. Her heart felt as if it were steeping in an extra-sweet milk tea, so sugary it was almost overwhelming.
Thornton the Wizard nodded in satisfaction, then turned to Holly Wyatt.
"Miss Holly Wyatt, are you willing to marry Mr. Silas Thornton? Through good times and bad, poverty and wealth, sickness and health, happiness and sorrow, will you love him, respect him, protect him, and cherish him without reservation for the rest of your life?"
Holly Wyatt felt the heat and sweat in her palm, and the hidden cord around her wrist tightened.
She could feel Silas's nervousness firsthand.
"I do," Holly Wyatt replied with the utmost solemnity.
