After leaving the Crimson Tower, Kelvin did not feel like going anywhere.
The excitement and hope he once had disappeared. The tower that represented the future of every aspiring sorcerer only reminded him of the one thing he could never achieve.

For years, he had believed he would become a sorcerer.He trained.He studied.He waited.But nothing happened.He was still an ordinary human.
Trying to clear his mind, Kelvin walked to his favorite restaurant. It was a place he had visited many times before. Usually, the food there could make him forget his problems, even if only for a while.
But tonight was different.
He sat quietly, eating without any real enjoyment.His thoughts kept returning to the Crimson Tower.Then the holographic interface on Kelvin's wrist activated.A projection of his girlfriend appeared above the device.
When he saw her face, he paused.It was his girlfriend.He hesitated before accepting the call.
"Hello?"
There was silence on the other side.Then her voice came.
"Kelvin... we need to talk."
For some reason, he already knew what she wanted to say.
"I think we should break up."
His hand stopped moving.She continued.
"I waited for you. I really did. But after all this time, you're still chasing the same dream."
Kelvin looked down.
"Becoming a sorcerer."
Her voice became colder.
"Kelvin, your dream is stupid."
Those words hurt more than he expected.
"You still believe you can become one after everything? Everyone else has moved forward. You're the only one still stuck in the same place."
Kelvin clenched his fist.He could accept failure.He could accept that he might never become a sorcerer.But hearing someone call his dream stupid made his anger rise.Then she said something else.
"Don't come to my house anymore."
Kelvin frowned.
"What?"
"My new boyfriend is here."
Silence.
"He is a sorcerer."
Her voice carried pride.
"He is someone who actually has a future. Someone like him could kill you with a wave of his hand."
Kelvin did not wait for her to finish.He ended the call.The holographic projection disappeared.The restaurant suddenly felt unbearable.He stood up and left without saying another word.
Outside, night had already arrived.The city was still alive.Flying cars moved between the towers, holographic advertisements floated in the air, and people walked through the streets surrounded by the wonders of the new era.
But Kelvin felt completely alone.
He wanted to return home quickly, so he took a shortcut through an old abandoned street.
Few people came here anymore.The buildings were damaged, the road was empty, and the lights flickered weakly.As Kelvin walked forward, a figure suddenly passed by him.For a moment, he only saw a blur.The person disappeared before Kelvin could even properly react.
His eyes widened.
"That speed...Only a sorcerer could move like that."
Before he could think about it further, two figures flew across the sky.They passed above him at incredible speed.
Kelvin looked up.Two sorcerers.They suddenly stopped.Then they turned around.They looked toward the street.
"Where is he?"
One of them asked.
Kelvin froze.They were searching for something.The two sorcerers landed.
Their eyes moved toward him.
"You."
Kelvin pointed at himself.
"Me?"
They walked closer.
"Bring it out."
Kelvin was confused.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
The sorcerers' expressions became cold.
"You think we're fools?"
"If you don't want to die, bring it out."
Kelvin stepped back.He was just a normal person.He had no idea why these people were threatening him.Then mana gathered around them. They casted fire magic and fire appeared in their hands
Kelvin's face went pale.This was real.
These people could use magic.And he was standing in front of them powerless.
The flames were released.
Kelvin believed he was dead.But suddenly—The figure from earlier appeared.In an instant, he blitz through the two figures in front of Kelvin slapping the flames away he grabbed Kelvin.
The explosion shook the abandoned street. They followed Kelvin felt himself being carried away.Everything around him changed.Buildings disappeared in the blink of an eye.The wind did not even have time to touch him.
He knew they were moving incredibly fast.But strangely...It felt like they were not moving at all.This was speed magic.
Before Kelvin could understand what was happening, they arrived at a massive skyscraper hotel.
The figure walked inside calmly.
He brought out two thousand dollars from his storage ring and after seeing how he brought out money from thin air the receptionist could tell he was a sorcerer he accepted all his demands without complain he said
"I want the best room and tell any other person it's no longer available"
Kelvin watched how he effortlessly paid two thousand dollars as if it was two hundred socerers made money easily he was still sorting his thoughts out when they entered the room he sat on the bed thinking he almost just died he had not even noticed the decorations of the room it was a lovers room
The decorations, the atmosphere and everything suggested it was for couples the figure that saved Kelvin said
"That damn receptionist"
He had expected Kelvin to yell and ask different things and yet the boy sat there quietly looking as if he just saw a ghost he said
"What happened to you"
Kelvin was brought out of his thoughts it was now he noticed the room and everything he asked the man what just happened to him and the man said
"You got involved in a fight between second circle sorcerers"
Kelvin frowned
"But I'm not a sorcerer,how could they attack me"
The man said
"It doesn't matter seeing as how you came from the same place I passed through they believed I kept this with you"
He reached into his storage ring and brought out a strange piece of black object it was a fragment Kelvin asked
"What is that".
