Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: Let It All Light Up — The Law Enforcement Captain, a Titled Douluo

"This… how is this possible?!"

"You're not a Slaughter God, nor are you part of the Law Enforcement Team!"

"How can you use spirit abilities inside Slaughter City?!"

Scott lay on the ground, his body riddled with wounds, barely clinging to life. His eyes were filled with shock and disbelief.

"What's so impossible about it?" Bai Mu replied calmly.

"If you're allowed to use spirit abilities, then I'm allowed to use moves."

"And besides…"

He walked up step by step, looking down at Scott with a faint chuckle.

"I was right, wasn't I? Only the strong get to decide the rules."

"M-My lord… spare me… please spare me!"

Scott's face turned deathly pale as he began to tremble violently. He hurriedly kowtowed again and again.

"I know I was wrong! I'll never dare provoke you again! Please, spare my worthless life!"

"Like I said," Bai Mu answered coldly, the smile on his face vanishing, "only the strong decide everything."

"I'm sorry—but I don't keep useless dogs."

Before Scott could say another word, Bai Mu lifted his foot and kicked forward.

Crack!

Boom!

With a sharp snap and a heavy impact, Scott's body was sent flying far into the distance.

"I'll need to change my shoes after this," Bai Mu muttered, frowning slightly as he turned and walked toward Slaughter City.

At the city gates, the beautiful female attendant responsible for welcoming newcomers stood frozen in place. Her entire body trembled, even her breathing shallow and cautious.

She had never seen anything like this.

Before even entering the city, this man had wiped out an entire knight legion—one that included members of the Law Enforcement Team who could freely use spirit rings within Slaughter City.

Such overwhelming strength and ruthlessness were simply unheard of.

Even the legendary Eight Slaughter Gods who had once left this place hadn't felt this terrifying.

"You're still standing there?" Bai Mu said flatly, glancing at her.

"Aren't you supposed to lead the way?"

"Y-Yes! Yes, my lord!"

The attendant jolted back to her senses, her voice trembling as she hurriedly responded.

"This lowly one will guide you into the city immediately!"

She didn't dare waste a second, cautiously explaining the surroundings as she led him forward.

"Enough," Bai Mu interrupted impatiently.

"I don't care about the rules or daily affairs here. Tell me about your current king—and the strongest people in this place."

"Yes!"

The attendant shuddered and quickly explained:

"The great Slaughter King controls everything here. He is the absolute ruler of Slaughter City.

"The Law Enforcement Team serves as the guardians of order. All of its members are Spirit Douluos who have been granted permission by the Slaughter King to use spirit rings within the city.

"Their captain is a Titled Douluo, an existence of unfathomable strength.

"As for the Terror Knight Scott you just killed… he was merely an ordinary member, hardly worth mentioning."

"They can all use spirit abilities?"

Bai Mu raised an eyebrow, a playful glint flashing in his eyes.

"That does sound a bit interesting."

He strolled casually down the street, observing his surroundings.

Blue lamps hung along both sides of the road, bathing the world in an eerie glow. Combined with the strange purple moon overhead, the entire city was steeped in blue and violet light.

"What a gloomy place," Bai Mu said, shaking his head in disdain.

"A sunny guy like me really isn't used to this."

"Let's do everyone a favor and brighten it up."

He turned his head slightly.

"Zygarde—use Sunny Day."

Whoosh!

Zygarde responded instantly, condensing a massive orb of light that slowly rose into the sky above Slaughter City.

In the next moment, brilliant, warm radiance burst forth—like a true sun blazing into existence.

The light swept away the cold and darkness, illuminating the entire city. Warmth poured into every corner.

"Light… it's light!"

"I haven't seen the sun in so many years… it's blinding, but so warm!"

"Heavens! He created a sun?! What kind of terrifying power is this?!"

The streets erupted into chaos.

Some people raised their heads, greedily basking in the warmth, tears filling their eyes. Others shrank into corners, trembling in fear at the sudden, overwhelming light.

"T-This… how is this possible?"

The attendant stood completely stunned, staring at Bai Mu as if he were a god.

This city was a domain left behind by an existence who had ascended to godhood a thousand years ago—yet Bai Mu had casually overridden it.

"Enough staring," Bai Mu said indifferently.

"Take me to the Slaughter King."

"T-This… that's against the rules, my lord!"

The attendant hurriedly lowered her head, panic evident in her voice.

"According to Slaughter City's laws, unless summoned by the Slaughter King, one must first pass the Slaughter Arena trials and accumulate enough slaughter points before earning the right to meet him.

"This lowly one… doesn't have the authority to take you directly."

"Rules?"

Bai Mu smiled faintly.

"With me here, I am the rules."

"Arrogant brat! How dare you disrespect the Slaughter King!"

A cold, furious voice suddenly rang out.

"You've just entered Slaughter City and already dare to trample its rules. You slaughtered the Black Armor Legion, created an anomaly within the city, and disrupted order!"

"You're truly courting death!"

A squad of black-armored Law Enforcement members marched in, their synchronized footsteps echoing heavily.

Terrifying spirit power radiated from each of them. Eight spirit rings shone clearly beneath every member's feet.

At their front stood a man clad in a long black robe, an oppressive aura swirling around him.

"I am Black, Captain of the Law Enforcement Team," he declared coldly.

"The great Slaughter King has learned of your actions and has ordered me to apprehend you and subject you to the harshest punishment!"

In his eyes, Bai Mu was nothing more than an overconfident upstart. Even if he had managed to kill Scott through some trick, he was no match for a true Titled Douluo.

"Black?" Bai Mu burst out laughing.

"Did your parents happen to play Seer too?"

"What?!"

Black's face twisted with rage.

"You little bastard—you're asking for death!"

He no longer bothered holding back.

"Demon Bat—Possess!"

Nine spirit rings erupted beneath his feet—yellow, yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black, black, black!

Dark wings burst forth from his back as his aura surged violently, like a monstrous black bat descending upon the city.
